***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Wood Nymph Hope he had a wonderful birthday! We also bring a nightlight and small battery operated clock to every hotel we stay at.

We've also thought about bringing our water purifier that sits on a counter, but we'll see.

@BDFmom The clock thing is supposedly because most people use their phones, but not everyone is addicted to their phones (like say M and I) and therefore we prefer an actual clock.

I finally have my garden grocer order ready.

3 six packs of Tropicana OJ, a case of water, 5 green bananas, 5 yellow bananas, grapes, half-n-half, 1/2 gallon of milk, bottle of wine, bagels and cream cheese.

We'll bring cereal, paper plates, bowls, untencils and a few other dry snacks from home.

My FP list is ready to go for Tuesday morning. Yippee!

Now, I need to finalize my budget for tips, OOP meals and souvenirs. I've also stated collecting random singles for cash. DD is in charge of decorating MBs and making envelopes for mousekeeping.

I feel settled on ADRs....

Just 2 things left..... SW dessert and ROL.
That's a great list!! I need to get my list organized in terms of what I would bring and what I would buy. :)

Looks like you're all settled :) just a waiting game now. I'm wondering now how to schedule my meals if the fireworks is as yulilin3 predicts...

There's probably a ton of threads about this, and if someone knows a specific one and can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it so much!! I was just looking at some menus ( yak and yeti) and wondering about TS credits.... How would it work? If you want a appetizer and an entree? Or if someone wants a soup too? Or maybe if a child doesn't want a kids meal choice but rather an entree?
Have you had a chance to check out the Dining Forum? There is a section that is all about the dining plan.

The regular dining plan is a lot of food for most people. The deluxe dining plan has even more food. It has three table service credits and two snack credits a day and includes an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert.

On the regular dining plan you can substitute a soup or salad for dessert at some ts restaurants. If you are on the DDP then an appetizer is extra. If you are on the deluxe plan then it is included. If you are on the regular dining plan than a child has to order from the kids menu. I think that if you have the deluxe plan than the child can order off the adult menu, but I'm not sure of that.

Reports are mixed on this but it seems at MOST disney restaurants, since the credits are not divided between adults and kids, they will allow kids to order off of the adult menu. This won't help me much as my son is a kid's menu kid (and his appetite has shrunk quite a bit since starting adhd meds). At the non-disney owned restaurants they are very strict about kids ordering from the kids menu, probably because they are receiving a certain amount of reimbursement and are probably not making tons, they are not going to give away that money (just my guess lol). You should go expecting to order off the kids menu for kids but you may be allowed to order off the adult menu. I had wondered what happened if my kiddo looks big for his age, would they have to ask if he is 9 or under because most think he is more like 10. I guess we will see but all of my calculations of value are done based on kid meals.

it IS a lot of food, I managed to spread out 4 nights worth of credits over 5 full days and 10 meals (we are doing 2 meals a day and 3 of them are 2TS - I will have to pay oop for 2TS for kiddo). But I figure breakfast (or very early lunch) and dinner spread out by 6+ hours should be doable. We don't have to eat everything in sight just because it is there!

Are you allowed to share an entree on the DDP? We have 10 TS and CRT scheduled and only 9 TS per person. We are going to pay out of pocket for CRT. I was thinking maybe we could share 3 meals ( non-buffet) - get 2 entrees, add an appetizer or 2 and adult beverage and it would save a little money. I'm sure there would be plenty of food.

My TA said you can't share if your using the DDP. I've read here that you can as long as you let the server know. Anyone have any experience?

yup for sure, everywhere but at a buffets (or other AYCTE), fixed price per person or via napoli (have heard they don't let anyone share on DDP).

Besides buffets, family style and dining packages, Via Napoli is very strict with this but others seem ok to do this. I plan to share at coral reef and homecoming. (use one credit and maybe order an additional app or two)

YAY!!! I think we'll be doing this for Yak and Yeti lunch (I also have a $50 Landry gift card), Skipper Canteen and Tokyo Dinning. I will also have an OOP our arrival night the DDP won't start until the next day. I am hoping to hit DS that night or a QS location at one of the monorail resorts before our cruise.

Here is my short list for FP+. I am ready for 10/4! I think my only true hard to get is 7DMT so after that one I figured go in order of what is most important to us or attractions placed where rearranging plans would be difficult. These are straight from my spreadsheet which is arranged in 30 minute time slots. In this list, the first time is when the FP+ window opens and the second is my target time for enjoying the attraction.

Thank you for sharing this info about when fp windows open for these rides! Is this posted somewhere as general info ? Do all rides have different fp start time Windows? I would just assume all attractions would be open for fp at park opening, or all at least at the same time ( aside from shows/ reserved viewing etc..)

Thinking now of how to handle rely morning breakfasts before going to am EMH... Anyone planning on doing am EMH? What would you feed your little ones?
@Candycane83 i saw that the poly has a 24 hr little food service area with bkfast sandwiches and stuff? I think you're at CR ? Or for some portion? Do those resorts have something like that there?
Also, just curious, but during am EMH are the restaurants/quick services places not open yet? ( I'd like to do Emh 12/9 at MK , but not likely after 12/8 mvmcp)

Yes but I'm more worried about my stay at the Swan my first 3 nights. I just found that they have a small QS that opens at 6am.

I tried asking what's open during EMH on the restaurants but no one answered yet. I'd probably check the hours in the wdw site once it's up ;) I did read that only the Starbucks at MK is open early, not the other parks. (Which is disappointing for me :P)

We were out of town this weekend for our grandson's 7th birthday and I am trying to catch up. So I apologize for answering questions long after they were asked. ;)

They change the menu at Artist Point all the time. We have eaten there three times in the last two years and it is always different. But the food has been really good.

Our granddaighter did BBB when she was three years old. She loved it, by the way. My daughter put her in a Snow White dress that morning and she wore it most of the day. You will see little girls wearing the princess dresses, but they can be uncomfortable for the girls to wear all day, especially if they are wearing floppy princess shoes or the dresses are too long and drag on the ground. I would make sure that you have an outfit for her to change into later if she gets tired of the dress.

My daughter brought a Cinderella dress and an Ariel dress to Disney, too, in case her daughter wanted to wear one of them to our dinner at the GF with Cinderella. But she didn't want to wear them. We were disappointed because the pictures would have been adorable, but she had made up her mind. ;)

We bring a power strip, a flashlight which is handy for finding things in the dark without waking everyone, and a clock. Disney took the clocks out of all the resort rooms and I like having a clock to look at. So we bring a small battery powered one.

I hope you had a wonderful time with your grandson!! I cannot believe how quickly 7 years passes by :( we just went to a 7 year old's birthday yesterday, too, for my daughter's classmate. My daughter just turned 6, but I just don't know where the time went :( now I'm all sad! :)

Oh that's right! I think you're doing a few signature restaurants? That definitely makes sense as far as the three TS credits per day. I totally forgot that there are 2 credit meals. I keep thinking to myself that it might be too much for my family to do three character buffets a day :)

I've been trying all day to book our NEXT trip to DW. Was planning on 21 nights in one of the bungalows at Poly.
But alas, the website is down. Oh well, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. :lmao:
Speaking of those bungalows, saw someone post on FB that some bungalows at Maldives is around $600 a night and yet Disney charges more than 3x that price! Wow!

Edit: bungalows on the ocean with fish and not a lake with gators :rotfl2:

I don't think they say anything at all. The Disney CM's aren't very confrontational.

My daughter had the DDP in June and her DH is a big eater. Since they were ordering appetizers and eating ts breakfasts, they spent a lot of money out of pocket. She said that they are going to get the deluxe plan next time and do more signature restaurants.

We shared entrees at Liberty Tree Tavern and it worked out fine. We also got an extra beverage instead of dessert at a counter service. We would give the extra drink to someone who just ordered a salad for lunch.

@Candycane83 I'm not sure what you mean by FP opening times on your schedule? I feel like I'm missing something huge here. LOL

lol kiddo got his first hair cut at Disney on Main Street. my favorite pic from that experience

:rotfl2: That scowl!!

This website thing is killing me. First, they faked me out this morning by showing availability at my resort for the one night I'm needing to tack on (which was total bologna, all they really had was family suites, not standards), and now I can't look at anything at all. You're killin' me smalls!

I'm not even kidding...I use that saying at least once a day! :thumbsup2

@SilSprBea I love the tag!! It came out awesome!
