This trip was me, my husband, and our 14 year old son, who is thankfully a pretty adventurous eater. We spent 10 magical nights in Disney at the Wilderness Lodge. This was our first time being in Disney when it was decorated for Christmas. I am so happy we chose Wildernesss Lodge to stay. We absolutely loved it. They do a remarkable job of decorating. This trip had so many firsts for us. First time seeing the Christmas decorations, Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional, Wishes Dessert Party, and last, but certainly not least, first time eating at the signatures and being on the deluxe plan. We ate at many of Disney's best restaurants. We had some pretty incredible meals. I hope you enjoy reading about them almost as much as I enjoyed eating them

Adding a youtube link to a scene of my son as Pumbaa in the school play this weekend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOQb1Y1rews

Count me in, very interested in the Yachtsman and BOG and of course, holiday snacking!

I'm very interested. We're going in Jan-Feb on the regular plan, first trip ever. I'm still trying to decide on a few meals and I'd love to read your reviews.

I'm subscribing! I have some of these same restaurants planned for our Feb. trip and can't wait to hear about your experiences! Have a fabulous trip and enjoy the great eats!

I will be there the same time !! Looks like a great line up !! Can't wait to read about it.

I can't wait to get home and get started with the reviews! I've barely had more than a few minutes at my computer. We are always on the go! Its a shame because our resort (Wilderness Lodge) is AMAZING! I think it is the best themed resort on the Diney property. We got upgraded to a courtyard view and it is perfect. We can see the water parade, geyser, and much of the MK fireworks from our balcony. We ate at California Grill tonight and it was perfect from start to finish.

Glad you liked your resort and definitely looking forward to hearing about your 10 days of deluxe dining!

I love WL...one of my favorites! Can't wait to hear your reviews.

We're back!! Stuffed and exhausted! I spent all day unpacking and doing laundry yesterday, so I hope to get some photos uploaded to photo bucket today and get the review started by tonight or tomorrow.

Welcome back! I hope you had some wonderful food :thumbsup2 I can't wait for your reviews!

My son and I landed in Orlando and 6:30 PM and boarded the ME as soon as we made it over there. We checked in at the Wilderness Lodge which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The lobby was truly amazing. We dropped off our bags in our room and caught the boat over to Fort Wilderness for our reservation at Trails End

We didn't want to stuff ourselves too much since we wanted to get to sleep at a decent hour so we could be up early for AK the next morning, so we skipped the salad, chili and baked potato bar.

Fried Chicken, Smoked Pork Ribs, Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, Corn Bread, Pasta w/ cheesy bacon sauce

Super Close Up!

Everything was delicious, especially the fried chicken and ribs.

Roast and gravy, Green Beans, Glazed Carrots, Buttery Corn, and MORE Mashed Potatoes and Corn Bread

Thought it was time to add some veggies to the plate ;-) Again, everything very tasty.

Red Velvet Cake, Bread Pudding, Pecan Pie Square
Disney146-Copy.jpg

The red velvet cake was pretty good. I thought the bread pudding was a bit too sweet. I don't remember what it was called. Raisin bread pudding? Surprisingly, I liked the pecan pie square the best. I dont usually like pecan pie because it is usually too sweet. This was buttery and yummy!! My son stuck with ice cream for dessert.

I would definitely eat here again. The staff was very friendly. The food fresh and hot. Everything is replenished frequently because it is put out in rather small bowls/trays compared to most buffets.

The electric water parade was just starting when we reached the dock, so we sat on lounge chairs on the beach and watched it and Holiday Wishes (it was a MVMCP night) A very good start to our trip. :cheer2:
