Now I'm very curious. What was the crazy server doing?

:lmao: DD's boyfriend ordered this last year, totally cleaned his plate and ended up eating half my chicken, as well! He's not a very big guy but he sure earned his "clean plate club" sticker that day. Then DD got all competitive and almost killed herself trying to clean her plate, too. Our server took pity on her and gave her a sticker. We love the PT. It's always so much fun! I'm glad you had a good time!

Lol! She was just REALLY in character, proper shouting at all the customers :scared1: she terrified us! The family were loving it though except for the Dad who was getting picked on hehe :lmao: we were just glad we had the cool and collected Uncle Dale :goodvibes

The portions are so big there aren't they! Very impressed that your DD's boyfriend cleaned his plate and ate half yours, he ain't messing around!!

xxxxxxx

That EOS Caprese looks delish! I tried EOS by myself last trip and loved it. I can't wait to take DH there next trip. I think you may have swayed me into trying the Caprese. :thumbsup2

That FP line at TSM is so crazy first thing in the morning! I got pushed and shoved all the way from the front of the park back at rope drop last time, so I think I'll be waiting just a little bit later in the day to get a FP next time. Craziness!

DH and I have always avoided 50s Prime Time since we are both painfully shy and therefore unsure about the interactive aspect of the meal, but the picture of that sampler is making me want to give it a try anyway. That looks amazing! I'm a sucker for meatloaf. Add fried chicken in the mix and that's almost too good to pass up!

Great update!

The Caprese is so delicious, please try it! They are so generous with the mozzarella too, mmmmmm!

I think if you fancy the food at PT, go for it! We are so glad we did even though we were not planning to go AT ALL, it turned out to be one of our favourite meals of the trip! I think the servers can tell if you're a bit shy so as long as you're not outright rude to them, you can easily signal to them that you're there for the food and don't want many antics and it'll be fine! Uncle Dale didn't do toooo many antics, it was only cause we made him cause we got so into it haha! :goodvibes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Really enjoying your dining report!

I also cry at strange times...parades, circus...Never at obvious times though!!

Thank you so much! Ahhh I'm glad it's not just me, I cried at EVERYTHING in Florida haha! xxxxxxxx

Absolutely loving your reviews Libby, you and Ben are a great couple! I loved reading about his surprises for you, what a thoughtful guy! :lovestruc Looking forward to reading more!! popcorn::

Aww thank you so much :lovestruc he is indeed a fabulous boy and a great boyfriend, I'm very lucky :) More coming up! xxxxx

These reviews are so much fun! THANK YOU for doing them. Gosh, I almost want to go to HS just experience 50's PT Cafe again, but I really don't like the park very much. :scared:

Wow thank you so much!! You're so welcome, I'm really enjoying them! Awww what don't you like about HS? I actually wish we could have spent MORE time there! xxxxxx

I'm glad you enjoyed 50s Prime Time, it's one of our favourites. We love the Tune In Lounge too. ;) You guys actually ordered the exact same things as we did, right down to the onion rings! :rotfl:

Oh thats so funny!! Great taste haha! Did you love it all as much as we did? :) I can't wait to go back again!! Next year....booooo xxxxxxxx

Just read all your Disney dining reviews! Loved them...great job! ;). Can't wait to read the rest!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed them! :goodvibes xxxx

Thank you for your review of Ohana from the vegetarian side of things. I love this restaurant, but my new husband, who has never been to Disney, is a vegetarian and I was going to leave Ohana's off of our itinerary. Now I can make our dining reservations knowing he will be enjoy this dining experience.:cool1: When he looked at your photo's, he was all in for dining at Ohana's :thumbsup2

You are so welcome, I'm glad I could help! We really could not have asked for any better in terms of veggie food at 'Ohana, they went above and beyond! I know your hubby won't be disappointed :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 xxxxxxx

MNSSHP – Pecos Bills

This night we were off to MNSSHP and we were sooo excited!! We dressed up OBVIOUSLY, can you tell what we were??

P1010753.jpg

That’s right! Dorothy and The Yellow Brick Road! Hehe :) Loved our costumes so much!!

I have to say, our costumes did turn out pretttttttttty phenomenally. After much deliberation over a period of about 6 months (in which time we were going to be, at various times, Jack and Sally, Ariel and Eric, crayons, witch and wizard, an angel and miscellaneous spooky ghoul etc etc) we settled on going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and…the Yellow Brick Road! Which then developed to encompass all other characters so he was really, the rest of the gang haha.

It was really hard choosing a costume that would be appropriate for the MK as most womens Halloween costumes are, back me up here girls, highly inappropriate!! But I didn’t want a full on floor-length costume, I still wanted to look nice!! And more importantly, not get too hot as I knew it was going to be warm! So I settled on this short Dorothy dress which when it arrived was obscenely short as I am nearly 6’ so I had to add a petticoat to make it more acceptable. It was very high necked though which was good. I added some red shoes (tried soooo hard to get sparkly ones but it just wasn’t to be!) and white socks (ditched the long white stockings which came with the dress!! noooo thank you) and I was good to go!

Bens costume was perfect because I didn’t think he’d want to dress up too much so it was a great compromise, but he later told me he wouldn’t have minded dressing up loads! But with the heat and everything I think we def made the right decision, he wore shorts and a t-shirt so it was great. We used black gaffa tape to make the ‘bricks’ on the front, and I printed off the 3 characters and we pinned them on :lovestruc Then Ben wrote “Follow The Yellow Brick Road” on the back and coloured it in with marker.

Tada!!

P1010746.jpg

And the back!!

P1010759.jpg

And mine :)

P1010807.jpg

Photo1646FourBySix.jpg

I was going to do my hair in bunches but it looked awful so I just ripped a bow from the top of the aforementioned naughty stockings and pinned it to my hair! perfect!

I think we both looked pretty good, hardly spent anything too :) (can you tell!!! Haha)

We had a fabulous time at MNSSHP, even though it rained LOADS when we first got there!! It did clear up eventually but was wet for the parade and the headless horseman didn’t ride which I was gutted about :( But, we did loads of rides including pretty much all of Fantasyland which was awesome as normally those rides had such crazy ride times!

We obviously had to do the Haunted Mansion and I must just share these photos of some awesome costumes we saw - Never seen anything like it before! I had seen online that some people get reeallllyyy into it and dress as really niche people/objects from the parks which I think is the coolest thing EVER and I was so pleased to see them!

My favorites were two girls dressed as two of the women from the moving portraits in the HM lift. Seriously, how cool is that!

My photos came out REALLY bad but hopefully you can see what I mean :rotfl:

P1010774.jpg

And heres the portrait..

P1010772.jpg

Spot on!!

We took some hilarious photopass pics here which I will share with you for the lulz, we obviously didn’t realize what would be placed in next to us haha!

Photo1634FourBySix.jpg

Photo1637FourBySix.jpg

Photo1638FourBySix.jpg

Photo1640FourBySix.jpg

Anyway, onto the food. In between all the Halloween shenanigans we managed to squeeze in a spot of dinner. It was like 8.30 and obviously we didn’t want to miss HalloWishes at 9.30 and we were planning to watch the later parade so we decided to get dinner. I wanted to go to Columbia Harbour House but it sadly wasn’t open :( Not much was open actually! We weren’t far from Pecos Bills so we headed on in. Can you guess what we got!?

Burgers!! MMM. A truly stunning burger actually, 1/3 lb with onion rings! Like I needed it!!! While we were queuing for our food, Rapunzel and Flynn were stood in front of us and Rapunzel told me she liked my hair :) I told her I loved their outfits, they were so good! All homemade but looked spot on!! Nice bit of bonding there.

Once we had our fuds we headed over to the toppings bar and hit it preeettyyyy hard. There was no cheese sauce again though!! Grrrrrr!! They did have grated cheese though so it wasn’t all bad. I put some on my fries, mmmmmm

P1010775.jpg

Benji got the veggie burger as standard and loaded on the toppings!

P1010776.jpg

We also got two chocolate cakes which never got eaten :) Seriously huge portions here, really recommend it!

P1010777.jpg

The Verdict:

Gotta be a Pink! But MNSSHP gets a WEDDING DRESS of course!!!!

Earl of Sandwich Breakfast

We had a little lie-in today, what a treat! We woke up at about 9am as we were going to Downtown Disney for the morning, no rope drops and big rides to run for! I wanted to do some SERIOUS SHOPPING. I’d saved the money for the holiday so what was the point of taking it home? So glad I made this decision too as I am normally so careful with money so it was lovely to be able to just chuck things in the basket and not worry about the price.

We strolled along the lovely walkway towards DTD and first on the agenda was breakfast! Well…brunch! As it was about 10.15 at this point. We went straight to Earl of Sandwich as I was absolutely determined to get a Caprese all to myself! Ben quite sensibly decided it was a little too early for a sandwich and so he got an egg and cheddar sandwich, he paid for it OOP since it was mega cheap. I, on the other hand, got the full monty! CS credit, Sammie, drink and a side ;) Had to be the chocolate brownie sandwich for a very early dessert! I also got an apple and raspberry juice which was very enjoyable.

P1010838.jpg

EoS was really quiet and we were able to get a nice booth and our food was done really quickly. My Caprese was PHENOMENAL and it didn’t even feel weird to be eating such an item so early on, everyone was doing it when I looked around!! It was gorgeous, look at these photos mmmmm

P1010840.jpg

P1010841.jpg

Ben’s Sammie was very nice too, he put some HP sauce in it cause he’s hardcore.

P1010839.jpg

P1010843.jpg

Ben had to help me with the brownie blerghhhhh it was sweeettt!!

P1010844.jpg

We really enjoyed our brekkie here, I do wish we’d had a chance to try WPE’s breakfast offerings though, I really fancy that breakfast pizza! And the cornflake French toast! Next time, next time.

The Verdict:

A wedding dress!!! The Caprese is the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten!! And I’ve eaten a LOT of sandwiches ;)

Screenshot2012-01-25at151318.png

Once we’d finished we decided to pop into Goofy’s Candy Co to have a look at all the goodies and potential gifts for people back home. It was so cool in here! They really do make some incredible sweets and baked goods, I seriously couldn’t get over the Mickey and Minnie apples!!

P1010834.jpg

P1010835.jpg

GIANT rice crispy cake with the addition of Ben’s finger to show the sheer size of it!!

P1010837.jpg

We didn’t buy anything though seeing as we were so full from breakfast which is a shame :( Isn’t it just the worst though when you’re absolutely stuffed and looking a food? Last thing we wanted was a sweet treat after the EoS brownie!!

I totally agree! I am quite tall as well and the only Halloween costume I've been able to wear in the last 7 years that was appropriate was... Dorothy! I wasn't able to find sparkly red shoes for mine either. Very disappointing.

Loved your boyfriend's costume! Very clever idea! Cute MNSSHP photos too! The ones with the hitchhiking ghosts are great!

Pecos Bills is my favorite burger place in Disney. I love the toppings bar too! Delish!

Okay, I think those last two pictures of the Caprese really did it for me. I have to have one now. Definitely on my list for next trip. I didn't realize EOS has a breakfast sandwich too. Good to know! I know DH will want one of those. He's a sucker for a b-fast sandwich.

Agree about the costumes! I am learning to sew so now I can make my own which aren't scandalous! I went with a big group to the Disneyland Halloween party a couple years ago as Wizard of Oz and I was Dorothy--I bought some cheap red shoes at Goodwill and spray painted them with red glitter!

Loving your reviews! I have a trip coming up in June and I am so excited to EAT! I am definitely, definitely going to EoS for a caprese sandwich as well!

Another great update, I am so enjoying your reviews
Love, love, love your MNSHP costumes you both look fab
The veggie burger at Pecos Bills is the best burger at MK in my opinion :)
Ooh and EOS - can't go wrong in there!
Keep it coming Libby !!

I just have to say I absolutely love your trippie! And you are such a doll! I spent the past few days reading the entire thing over on the other boards and I so enjoyed it. Also, I fell in love with a top you posted from Primark (I think it was on your Pre-Trippie?) of a pug in a hat and just had to have it so I stalked Ebay until I found it! Haha.

It is really nice to read your dining reviews, especially Benj's, because I'm a vegan. Did he have issues with finding a veg meal during the trip at all? Also, I thought the zebra domes contained gelatin? Maybe I'm wrong. Hmm...have to look into that.

Anyway, keep up the great work! :goodvibes

Awww shame about the red shoes isn't it! Couldn't find them anywhere around here! Thank you, he was very proud of his costume and I thought the PP photos came out brilliantly too :thumbsup2

Yessss please do try a Caprese! You won't go back!!! Thank you for reading and commenting :) xxxxxxxx

Ahhh red glitter spraypaint, good idea! I considered it but just ran out of time before the holiday unfortunately :(

Thank you so much, hope you enjoy the Caprese on your June trip!!! :)

Awww thank you so much :) Glad you enjoyed my pre-trippie and trippie, what a beast eh!!! I'm going to post my dining review on there once I've finished it too, not enough food porn over there if you ask me!

LOL@ the pug top, I'm impressed with your dedication! Can't wait for summer so I can start wearing it again :) :)

Oooh a vegan! Hope my reviews were helpful although obviously with restrictions! Uh oh, we didn't even think about the zebra domes...shhhh don't tell him! They may have as I guess they are a bit mouss-ey...woops :sad1:

Nope he didn't have any problems at all, anywhere in Florida I don't think!! Every place we went to went above and beyond which is one of the reasons he wants to go back YAY!! I don't think you'll have any problems at all just do your research before you go and suss out some of the options you can ask for :) :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

MORE eating and drinking around the world!!

After our morning in DTD we headed to Hollywood Studios for the afternoon and a second attempt at the World Showcase.

As soon as we walked in to the WS area we breathed a sigh of relief, it was sooooo much quieter than on the Saturday!! Wooooo no queues!!!

Pretty Donald outside!

P1010868.jpg

We had a bit of a gameplan this time. Due to the severe lack of veggie options for him to eat we decided he’d get a vegetarian platter from Morocco as I knew they looked lovely and he loves that kind of food. So we kinda started walking toward Morocco but I accidently got waylaid by the Australia stand as I really wanted to try the lamb chop. Here it is!

P1010869.jpg

Grilled Lamb Chop with Potato Goat Cheese Salad and Shiraz Reduction. This was a beast!!!! It was really lovely, I started off with a knife and fork but then just picked it up and ate it like some kind of ravenous caveman :D Poor Ben haha.

Ben couldn’t walk past the Canada stall and not get a Moosehead so he got one.

P1010867.jpg

P1010870.jpg

I then spotted the Hawaii stall and before I knew it I’d got a Kalua Pork Slider with Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise :D Mm! Lovely, very small but lovely!

P1010871.jpg

We really didn’t get very far as we then spotted the Greece stall that Ben had queued up briefly but then given up and there was no queue yay! We really went to town here, I got the griddled cheese and he got the greek salad with pitta bread.

P1010873.jpg

P1010875.jpg

I had the Seven Tiki Mai Tai from the Hawaii stand and he got another beer (sorry, can’t remember which one!) We got a little seat too and tucked into our feast :D Yumm!

P1010872.jpg

We had serious things to discuss though. While we were queuing for our food I had asked the CM what time the WS was open til and she said it was open til 9. 9! Disaster! We had been hoping to spend considerable amounts of time drinking and wandering round after our ADR at TE but a 9pm closure would make this pretty much impossible. Hmmm. I wondered aloud whether or not we should maybe forego our TE ADR…Ben jumped at the idea!! He said he’d been thinking and he was so so so enjoying just wandering around the different stalls, listening to the music, eating, drinking, taking it all in and he thought we’d have a really good night if we just continued to do that til the fireworks. /speech. Now it’s not often Benj pipes up his own thoughts (he is a man of few words and very easygoing!!) so whenever he does I always go along with it! And this was one of these times :) So although it was very difficult for me to come to terms with a change in the itinerary, I was mega up for it! And the more we thought about it the more it realllyyy made sense. Who were we kidding, the amount we had already consumed had pretty much already guaranteed we wouldn’t be hungry for a 6.40 ADR! It was like 5.15!!

So, with our new gameplan sorted, we sat there for a little while longer and finished off our delicious snacks and drinks. I loved the cheese, it was really crispy and the honey just made it amazing. My Mai Tai was lovely too, again very small but it hit the spot!

We carried on wandering, Benj got another beer and I think I got a Strongbow from England. I took a photo of Benj queuing for his beer. Cutie!

P1010876.jpg

Winner!

P1010879.jpg

Then we stumbled upon Off Kilter and as Ben is the biggest fan of live music perhaps in the world we made ourselves comfy (well, stood at the back) with our drinks and watched the show! It was really good, lovely stood there in the sun (freezing slightly) with our drinks, everyone around us seemed to be in such a great mood it was a really lovely atmosphere. I noticed it was much more adults and couples than families although there were still kiddies running around, I think there were just noticeably less.

P1010880.jpg

After watching Off Kilter for a while we went to England and hung around in the shop for a while looking at all the stuff!

English food!

P1010890.jpg

I can completely understand all the Americans who absolutely love these shops and spend a fortune on Hobnobs and stuff as I am exactly the same with American stuff and in fact make regular trips to a shop that sells American food in Southampton and coo over taffy and Twinkies.

While we were in this shop there was a CM there stood next to a blackboard that had a load of British phrases that you had to say what they were in America. This is like my specialist subject so we reeled them all off, giggling at our pronunciation of things like “cilantrooo” and “ aruugulaa” (it wasn’t a herb based quiz those are just the only two I can remember) and I think the CM took pity on us, possibly thinking we’d escaped from somewhere and he gave us a round of applause and said we deserved Mickey stickers! BONUS!!! We were mega pleased and strolled out the shop all smug :D

I imagine on our way out of England we purchased another cider as I see the evidence in this photo:

P1010895.jpg

Then next up was Morocco! The belly dancer was dancing so we watched her for a while, she was sooooo pretty and I had a bit of a crush on her which I am sure Ben will echo ;) We were laughing at all the Dads whose families were clearly wanting to move on but were getting told to “JUST HANG ON A MINUTE PLEASE” ;)

Then we went into the Morocco CS and Benji got a vegetarian shwarma platter and he didn’t want the dessert so I got a baklava mmmmm and we got a water for later too.

P1010896.jpg

P1010897.jpg

Oops

P1010898.jpg

The platter was really really nice, I nibbled on a few bits and ate the baklava, also delicious! We got a really nice spot outside and were able to watch everyone pass as we munched :)

Italy was next and I JUST HAD to get a snack! I got the Ravioli Di Formaggio All’Emiliana (Baked Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Beef Bolognese Sauce, Parmesan Cheese, Melted Mozzarella) from Italy :) Yummy!

P1010900.jpg

It was nice but quite bland. Can’t really go wrong with cheese and pasta though so I forced it down!!

Haha. What can I say, shopping and dogs, two of my favorite things! Hopefully it will fit though. I know sizing is a bit different between US and UK?

Yeah, I’ve been vegan for just over two years now. I’ve never been a big dairy fan, so it wasn’t really that hard to fully commit. I went straight from omni- to vegan. How long has Benj been veg? I can’t remember if you mentioned it or not.

And don’t fret about the zebra domes. I’m not even 100% sure. I just thought I read it at some time.

It is good to know that he didn't have too many issues finding veg food. Hopefully that will be my luck too whenever I get the chance to head over to the World!

Also, I know this isn’t strictly food related, but I just have to ask about your gorgeous hair! Is that your natural color? Or is there a certain dye you use? I need to pick up some hair dye in the near future and have been certain for a deep chocolate cherry shade.

Time was getting on at this point and we wanted to get a margarita for Illuminations. Luckily we were just coming up to Mexico!!

We were going to get a margarita from one of the stands but I really wanted to check out La Cava del Tequila so we headed on it. We never had a chance to really look around Mexico which was a shame :( Will def be taking more time to look at all the countries next time. The tequila bar is teeny tiny but very atmospheric, the guys who work behind the bar are amazing! I had always planned to try the avocado marg but in a moment of (successful) madness I got the Passionfruit and Benj got the Pineapple. Was very cool watching the guys make them up for us, they are expensive but I think worth it :)

P1010902.jpg

Salt!

P1010901.jpg

P1010904.jpg

We headed back outside and got a pretty good spot to watch the fireworks which were STUNNING!! But not as good as Wishes obviously!!

The Verdict:

Eating and drinking around the WS was one of our FAVE things to do in WDW and the reason we are hoping to go back in October next year – gotta be a Wedding Dress!!

Screenshot2012-01-25at151318.png

After the fireworks we headed over to the Boardwalk beach and just generally ran around being silly, took some self-timer photos and draw pretty pictures in the sand :)

P1010938.jpg

Pal Mickey got involved bless him!

P1010941.jpg

We were feeling pretty tired by this point and decided it was time to head home but first I needed the lavatory! We couldn’t find any public toilets though! Disaster!! I nipped over to ask the girl manning the Pizza window (making a mental note that pizza sounded like the best idea ever at that point!) and she said we should go in Kouzzina as that was nearest. It was slightly awkward strolling in as they were clearing up and it was totally empty but needs must!!

On our exit I could think of nothing but pizza and Benj was pecks too (we hadn’t eaten in like, 2 hours!!) so we decided to get some at the window :D Exciting! I was actually all for getting a whole cheese pizza to take back to the room and share but Ben persuaded me, quite rightly, that we only needed a slice each. I got pepperoni and he got veggie and they were very nice! I think we paid OOP (I know, I know) and we went and sat at one of the tables overlooking the water. Ahhh, it was so peaceful. I really do love the Boardwalk area, I wish we’d had a chance to spend a bit longer there than we did :( I’d quite like to try the Flying Fish too, always looks so lovely in trippies and reviews.

P1010949.jpg

P1010951.jpg

P1010952.jpg

Once we’d finished our slices we were pretty much dead on our feet and we stumbled out to find the bus stop. We got home about midnight and slumped into bed, ahhhhhhhh bliss!!

I am so glad you cancelled your ressies for TE!!!!

Enjoying a bit here and there for the F&W Festival is what it is all about! :hippie:

I love the photos, and it seemed like you had more fun hitting the food booths than if you sat down to dine.

Loving your reviews!!!

Great review! I also love walking around and eating and drinking in EPCOT better than anything else!

Eating and drinking around World Showcase is our favorite part of F&W fest! So glad y'all enjoyed it and will return again next year!:cool1:

I'm really enjoying your excellent reviews and photos. I love your rating system by dress color. It's very clever.

Awww thank you so much :) Glad you enjoyed my pre-trippie and trippie, what a beast eh!!! I'm going to post my dining review on there once I've finished it too, not enough food porn over there if you ask me!

Wait, you have a trip report, as well? Can you post a link? I'd love to read it.

So we kinda started walking toward Morocco but I accidently got waylaid by the Australia stand as I really wanted to try the lamb chop. Here it is!

I love that you stopped for a lamb chop while looking for a vegetarian option. :lmao:

Let me think...Aubergine/eggplant? Aluminum? :lmao: DH can't say the American version of that one!

Great updates!
