WWYD?-Did I make the right choice?

I have 3 teen daughters and absolutely would stick with BC for these reasons: - no guarantee of connecting rooms at POP - my kids like to have privacy to call their boyfriends away from each other too, if you get a full balcony at bc this is a good place for that. - the kids can explore the...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Interesting! I wonder if it was only a part of the resort and maybe that’s why there wasn’t a better response. We never heard what happened or why the alarm went off, but it does make me feel better to know that maybe it was just a false alarm on our floor or something. And yes, it was...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

We were at the Dolphin 12/21-12/24 with a less than stellar experience. Someone left used underwear in the closet and despite telling them about it a couple times no one came and removed them. We also had a fire alarm go off at 7 am on 12/24 and there was zero resort representation. Not a single...

    50th anniversary coin?

Yes there are a couple different options. There are the gold medallion coins. I believe you can get them at pin traders in Disney springs. There is also a glass holographic one.

Trying to be mature & convince myself that I can stay off site...

I would be very interested to hear what exactly you’re looking for. It sounds like you have a certain budget in mind, but are also not really wanting to do 4 people per room. I was booked at Doubletree Disney springs. That would have offered my family of 5 a room with 2 queens, and a living room...

    Another WwYD

This was why I started looking it to it, but the price of the Doubletree more than doubled since I booked it, and any edits to the reservation wouldn’t allow me to keep the same rate. So the three nights ended up being $934 after taxes and fees. We won’t have a car so no parking fee but our...

"Official" 2022 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

I was able to change mine. Just ask for ticketing when you call. The first people I spoke to just gave me a no.

This is exactly why I ended up booking it. $211 a night with AAA. I didn’t know about the dining discount though. Thanks!

Thank you all for your help. I actually took most of the advice and split the difference. I’ll be doing 3 days at Dolphin and 2 days in an offsite near Universal. We haven’t been there in about 10 years and I expect we’ll spend all our time in the parks.

Yes, One HS/hop to Mk day. 2 “down” days on the Disney side. I’m thinking there are a lot more options with Dolphin for our down days than there are for Doubletree with the proximity to boardwalk area and a much better pool.

We are a family of 5, kids are 18, 15, and 12. We typically stay onsite and let the kids come and go. They often like a mid day break or to end the day earlier than we do. I am currently booked at Doubletree Disney springs but am starting to question the transportation aspect of things. This...

Reliefband: Has anyone used this at a park for nausea?

Yes. The Reliefband only goes on one wrist and they are pricey. We got ours for about $120 each on Amazon. They have some sort of metal plate that sits on the inside of your wrist and there is some sort of vibration thing that happens. That signal is supposed to be what helps. Honestly, a lot of...

Reliefband: Has anyone used this at a park for nausea?

Just to be clear I am talking about Reliefband, not Seabands. Seabands didn’t do anything to help us.

Reliefband: Has anyone used this at a park for nausea?

Yes. I describe them as a TENS unit for your head. You put it on your wrist and it sends pulses to your brain (or something). I haven’t tried it on a cruise but it says for sea sickness on the box.

Off property resorts for a family of 6

Our next is the Doubletree Disney Springs. We’ve never been there but they have a 2 bedr. 1 king bdr, 2 queens, and the pull out couch in the living room area. And has free shuttles to Disney and appears to be walkable to Disney Springs.

Reliefband: Has anyone used this at a park for nausea?

We bought one 3 months before our last trip, and it was so great for just the day to day that we bought 2 more before we left. 3 of the 5 of us suffer from migraines, and my migraines cause vertigo and panic attacks. I can’t say specifically for nausea related to motion sickness but they were...

Thoughts on Caribbean Beach with NO Skyliner

We had no issues with busing when we were at CBR in June. Buses came every 20 minutes or so. And when we went back from Epcot with the skyliner down for rain we caught the bus right away. But that said, personally, if the skyliner is down I would switch for the small resort, boat to DS, and...

Booked Fairfield Inn Package but Dont See Tickets On MDE

Did you book your Fairfield inn package through the Disney website? When I booked my Disney springs area hotel and added it to the app it took about 4 days for it to add. It just takes longer for the offsite ones. It will not mess up your 60+ days for your wilderness lodge stay. Your window to...
