***Official November 2022 Thread***

Just switched to Animal Kingdom - Kidani Village Savannah view! 🎉🎉🎉

After booking we added a day to the beginning of trip but had to do a split stay. Now we will be in one place & get to enjoy a new resort!

4 weeks from today! Woo!

Now we just need to get a Space 220 lounge reservation and all will be golden ✨
We just hit 30 days, like you still stalking Space 220 lounge

Just got a Mousewatchers alert for Space 220 lounge, hopped on and within 10 seconds it was gone. UGH! Will keep trying
To give you some hope, I go tomorrow for a quick girls trip and have an alert for space for all 3 days, in the last 3/4 days I’ve gotten 50+ alerts, granted I had 3 days lunch and dinner alerts set, but they come often, and a lot late at night!

Thanks, am hoping! We’re 30 days out so hope as it gets closer we might get lucky

Every day I come to the boards hoping for info on the holiday foods and treats, and every day, I am disappointed lol

On the other hand, each day is a day closer to finding out, and ultimately, our trip itself!!

Seeing that MK reservations have reached capacity on several days during our stay makes me feel like it's time to make some final decisions, and lock in our plans. We considered moving around ome park days to make room for a Discovery Cove day, so I think it might be time to pull the trigger (or not).

We’re 17 days away

I’m officially in packing mode. That being said I’m a notorious over packer when it comes to clothes so I’m wondering…for a 13 day trip (we have a 15 hour drive) how many shorts, jeans, long sleeve tees, and short sleeve tees would you pack?

Side note, we’ll be driving 8ish hours on the 4th, stopping and staying in a hotel overnight then waking up and continuing our drive. We’re leaving Disney on the 15th, driving to st Augustine then driving and stopping to stay in a hotel overnight then continuing our drive on the 16th.

Are you doing laundry or having it done? If so you can cut WAY down. However you’re also driving so that always means you can take a bit more. I’m not the best for advice for 2 reasons—used to fly 200k/year on business and still Do overseas trips every year so have air packing down to a science (and always do laundry or have it done) and second, live in the desert SW so for us anything below 80 is long pants, shoes/socks, etc. But, good on your for starting early! Gives you time to edit. Also remember you can always buy yourself out of any situation which favors taking less stuff.

We are driving a similar distance with one stop on the way down and one stop on the way back. I am telling everyone to pack a separate overnight bag to use on those single night stays so we don’t have to completely unpack the car at those stops.
We will have access to laundry facilities, so trying not to overpack. I know my daughter is going to overpack for my 3 year-old granddaughter! I’m just glad we decided to drive. It’s so much less stressful when it comes to packing. The hard part is figuring out the ratio of clothes for warm and/or cold weather. Will have to wait til it’s closer to decide that. Good luck!

I think it depends on how cold you are in different weather? When we visited at the end of Jan/Feb, I only had t-shirts and capris. There were a couple nights I got chilly, but my kids had light coats. Based on the weather I'm seeing (currently trending and historical), my family won't need any long sleeve / pants, except for the drive down. We are driving the 19 hours straight, so we'll start out in long sleeves and then just wear short sleeves and shorts down there.

I have enough shirts to not worry about laundry, but we're planning to do one laundry day to catch up on shorts/underwear/whatever spills. Not to mention it helps the smell on the drive home. ;)

Does anyone recall DS or anything in the parks going on when a new Marvel movie is released? Black Panther is coming out on November 11..

Yay packing! We are driving just a bit longer, and we've decided to leave a day earlier and do two hotel nights, the last one being just outside Disney, so we can get there bright and early and have a whole first day, vs getting there and being tired from the drive.
We are a large family (four kids. Side note, I never thought of us as a large family but apparently every one else does 🤷‍♀️) so we already have limited room in the van, and need more stuff. I always like to do laundry on any vacation over like 3-4 days, for lots of reasons.....less to pack, smells, stains, etc. However Disney is harder because we like themed shirts 😂 so I will probably bring 5-6 outfits and then some extra shirts for the kids especially. We will likely do mostly shorts, maybe one pair of pants (I'll check the weather right before we leave, maybe I'll need two) and all short sleeve and possibly a light jacket. We will also probably wear pants and sweatshirt down on our first drive day, so we will have that (or maybe just the jacket). We went to the zoo this weekend and the high was like 72, but it was very sunny and we all wished we'd worn tshirts and shorts! I do know Florida feels cooler because of the humidity though, and night time is cooler as well. Enjoy packing!

Got home last night for a quick girls trip, and then realized it was exactly 3 weeks till my next check in! So now I’m 20 days away! It will only be 2 days and then 2 and a half at universal but I’m excited!

I am now back to searching for space, I didn’t get it or finally since I didn’t really think my daughter would enjoy it, but I went this weekend and loved it and think she would like it too! So now I hope I can snag one!

Oh good luck! Were you in the lounge or main dining? I've read recently that the lounge doesn't have good views but I'm trying to picture how that is possible. I haven't watched any video reviews but maybe I will

We were in the lounge, and the view was fine for us, but two adult women and we were there to see it and enjoy the atmosphere. The actual resturant assuming that’s down 2 steps is a better view for sure, but if you only can get the lounge I personally think it’s fine.

We also had an amazing server Felipe for Columbia I highly recommend him! So nice!

Has anyone been to La Creperie in Epcot? I was thinking about dropping it as a breakfast reservation and just eating something quick at Les Halles instead. I keep going back and forth between "book all the things" and worrying that my credit card will burst into flames from overuse, so I'm taking a hard look at all of our dining reservations.

It's funny you ask this because just last night I was thinking - I have never heard ANYONE talk about this restaurant.

I ate there back in May for lunch. I enjoyed it as a good spot to sit and take a break. It was a pretty quick meal.

What time is your breakfast? I have a very love hate with breakfast reservations, if your early risers and it’s an early breakfast your missing amazing park time. But if it’s a later breakfast right as the park is getting busy it could be nice.

We were in the Space 220 lounge and the view is pretty much the same wherever you sit. The layout reminded me of Coral Reef, with the seating areas layered so that the highest floors are close to the lounge and the lowest levels are next to the huge screen. It is all one room with no visible division between the lounge and restaurant.

9:40. I get what you're saying about the love/hate part. We're probably not going to rope drop Epcot, it's in the middle of our trip and I know my crowd will need a day to slow down at that time. We also bought Genie+ for the whole trip, so I think we'll be ok.

Were the crepes and galettes big enough to share? It was hard to tell from the photos I saw.
