Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Luggagegate 2022. 😇

Stay CL enough and you’ll see all sorts of situations and people doing different things, CL CMs telling people to do different things or offering to do different things for guests. Although put me in the camp of luggage storage is generally best suited for bell services and not CL CMs. There’s not really the space or staff to handle that function at any of them.

Somewhat related, frankly I sort of roll my eyes a bit at the mega family packed like the Griswold summer vacation with luggage piled up in the lounge waiting for their room or for a late flight, but for all I know they were told that’d be fine so I try not to judge. (Although I do judge when you roll your giant bags in the food service area while balancing a plate of sticky buns).

As for arrivals, let’s be honest, it’s not like bell services staffing has been overflowing since Covid - sometimes it’s a little chaotic out front, it’s not always clear to CL people what they should do, some with greeters, some without, did we get the text or not, countless different guest situations and circumstances, so I try not to overthink it.

Personally, about the only time I have luggage in the lounge or CM desk area is when we have carry-ons and have a lag between check out and leaving and we’re spending some time in the lounge. If I had more than carryons I’d call bell services just to not leave my mess around. On occasion I’ve left them there unattended while we do a last stop at the gift shop or something, but that has only been in situations where I know or am friendlier with the CMs and we’re talking short durations.

In other controversial CL behavior news, saw some bare feet this morning. Always love that. 👍

To stay on the topic of luggage -

We have a split CL stay coming up - BWI to CR - and we will only have carryon bags with no big suitcases.

How do we get our luggage transferred? Do we have to go to the main bell services? Or can they do an intra-CL move somehow? Or can we give our bags to CL and they sort it out?

Hoping that it can somehow be handled at CL, but feel like it won’t be that easy. Haha

Yeah, that’s a bell services thing, not CL. You either take your bags down to bell services or call and have them come to your room to pick up. Tell them your transfer details and that’s it.

In case you don’t know this, don’t expect your bags at resort 2 until much later in the day, like 4/5pm+, so make sure you have anything you may need with you in a daypack or similar.

Hope that helps!

And very good to know about the timing. I assumed a delay, but didn’t think it would be that long. At least we can manage expectations on the front end. And relax and enjoy more time at F&W.

61 days from our return to Disney. Our last trip was December 2019. I’m so excited it’s ridiculous! I can’t wait to see the club level CMs at BWI. When I walk into the Inn Keepers Lounge I will be home!

ADR madness tomorrow fingers crossed we get some of what we want.

Thank you!

It could be more like 3, but it could easily be later so best to be prepared. Nothing worse than having an early ADR or evening obligation and having to sweat your luggage being MIA, despite best of intentions!

I do more moving luggage myself with my vehicle or rideshare these days than I do letting Disney do it just to have more control, but lots of valid reasons/planning rationale to have Disney do it as well.

I feel like I’m a pretty knowledgeable person when it comes to Disney, but you are so next level, I am in awe.

Ride share is genius!! I was thinking that I should transfer our luggage myself and just meet up with DH and DD in Epcot, but I couldn’t figure out how to make it work. But a quick ride share trip between the two resorts will give us peace of mind while not chewing up too much time on our short trip.

Thank you!!

I am at 57 days and so excited! I love all the cast members there and am excited to see them too. Hoping to see some of the regular guest we usually see at this time too.

Wait...Ice in a mimosa??? Nooooo.....

I'm far from an expert on alcohol, but I do remember some very nice liqueurs at AKL- not sure if they still serve them or not.
You'd think but it works. Promise.

Liqueurs yes. Hard liquor is the question.
It's there at one CL I think, it's rare though.

While BWI CL is still home, there has been a major staff turn over. Lene, Lorenzo, JJ and Joe are pretty much the only hold over's. Brittany was there but she's just moved or, or just about to move on.

The mimosa with ice was something Lene brought home from her trip to see her Mom this past summer. She caught Covid and got stuck in Europe longer than expected. She wasn't in Norway, but somewhere warmer, and now I can't recall, Morocco, or Italian Riviera, or Spain maybe? Gee my memory is really faulty these days. Anyway, the ice in the mimosa was very common wherever she was at that time and she brought it back and added the ducky as her touch. With the ratio she does it really is refreshing and works. I'd have never guessed it would and had I known exactly what it was before I tried it, I probably wouldn't have tried it. LOL

I had one of those delicious drinks in the lounge at the BWI, made by Lene. I don’t drink alcohol so mine was made with green tea, and POG juice. My friend had a POGmosa with jus a little ice
That sounds pretty dang good too. Gonna have to give that a try sometime

We always plan moving day as our longest park day. Well, it's a late start day, heading out at 11:00 or so, dropping bags and don't plan to head to the other resort till after 5, just to be safe.
The only time we make an exception is in the off chance we've gotten our room ready notice prior to 11:00. If we have, we do ride share over to the new resort ourselves, dropping bags in the room, then heading out. But if we are homeless, then we leave the bag moving to Disney and just spend the day at the parks. If weather turns awful or something like that we at least do have the lounge to return to.

Yes, you are correct; they do have cordials like Kahlùa and Bailey’s at night, so I suppose you could make yourself a nightcap with some cola if you’d like, but no one is going to be mixing you a margarita or martini, which are the things I think of when I imagine a cocktail. But you can get by quite nicely in CL with wine, beer, and some after dinner sips.
