Is your drink included in the price of the meal? If you got a soda?
Was wondering this too. Might be nice to have a xmas meal at Disney next December. Is your drink included in the price of the meal? If you got a soda?

Thank you !Yes, usually non-alcoholic regular beverages are Included with AYCE.
It’s a light vinaigrette, very tasty. I would say like an oil, vinegar and honey based dressing. I asked for the recipe years ago and I believe it was called Honey Shallot Vinaigrette.Thank you !
Have you had the salad? What do the dressing remind you of?
No, and I’d bet good money it won’t return. Why would disney serve made to order dishes for $20 when it could sell out a restaurant serving mass-produced cafeteria food on a platter for $40?Any news about the a la carte lunch menu returning to liberty tree tavern.
I think they ate their salad a year ago. Zombie thread. It’s a light vinaigrette, very tasty. I would say like an oil, vinegar and honey based dressing. I asked for the recipe years ago and I believe it was called Honey Shallot Vinaigrette.

It's all about the $$$.
Diamond Horseshoe is not serving. It is overflow seating for Liberty Tree Tavern since reopening last year.It looks like all of the menus for MK restaurants are the same for lunch and dinner. Makes things easier I guess.
ETA: Diamond Horseshoe does have different lunch and dinner menus.
If its "too heavy" for lunch just.......don't eat as much?
But you're paying a lot more for the AYCTE meal than you would a la carte, it feels like a waste of money to still go and just not eat much.
Do they have french fries? Our picky eater DS might actually eat there then.i agree. LT lunch was such a good option for our family, from the picky tweens/teens to the always dieting young adults, to us old folks who can’t eat the stuff we once could (sadly). I can’t justify that price for one tween eating a hand full of French fries.
Unfortunately AYCTE means those that choose not to consume a lot subsidize those that eat 4 servings of everything. Not shocked.
Menus have to be minimized. With less employees allowed in the kitchen, finance issues, possible stocking issues, and less guests it would be stupid to keep the whole menu available. That would be WAY too much food to keep on hand when you are not making nearly as much money as you used to be.
As for LTT... the best known menu option is the AYCTE platter. I bet it is the best selling option to. So for Disney, that is the one to keep. It's simple logic.
And subsidize those who eat more? No thank you!If its "too heavy" for lunch just.......don't eat as much?
I did notice some of the newer family style places (e.g. Sebastian's) are no longer AYCTE, so Disney seems to have clued in they can charge a steep fixed price for family style whether or not it is AYCTE. I think the price is more about the fact that they CAN get away with charging that much because so many more people want a meal in the AC than there are sit-down restaurants available, and because LTT has nostalgia value, than it is about the actual food consumption. I'd be willing to bet the number of people who order multiple portions at AYCTE places is relatively small.Unfortunately AYCTE means those that choose not to consume a lot subsidize those that eat 4 servings of everything.
