Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

Just FYI - October 31 is now officially sold out - listed on Disney's Boo Bash page.

Friday, October 22$169
Sunday, October 24$169
Tuesday, October 26$169
Friday, October 29$169
Sunday, October 31SOLD OUT

Wow! So much for those who complained about high price and the most expensive tickets sold out first!!! I sure hope Disney doesn’t take this as a message that the sky is their limit🙁
I didn’t think it would happen but based on response so far I now expect most if not all dates to sell out!

I added them to My Disney Experience with my email confirmation code.

Called this morning and waited about 40 min, no issues getting through except I pushed the wrong number the 1st time so had to hang up and call again. Was able to do my room requests and buy my boo bash ticket. He offered to ship them but did say as long as I linked them the card was just a backup to my mb or phone. Was an easy call but also got disconnected rather than the survey he asked me to complete. Was planning too but also expected the hang up.

From prior years experiences, anytime there has been a DVC discount on an annual pass or separate event ticket with AP or DVC discounts we have HAD to go to "will call" to activate the tickets. Just before covid we purchased DVC discounted APs and since they were purchased in my MDE account I assumed they were able to be used. Nope. Refused at the tapstyles and directed to head over to Guest Services to activate the passes first. I not only had to show photo IDs for adults, but also our DVC card to verify we qualified. Yep, even though they were purchased in MDE and the DVC AP doesn't even show up to non DVC folks.

I feel like they stopped staffing the will call kiosk out in front of MK a couple years ago. It's all lumped in with Guest Services now. I feel like it's worth stopping by a Guest Services location sometime prior to our party date to make sure the tickets are active......rather than standing in a long line the afternoon/evening of our party.

They could have changed procedures, but if they are telling people that are getting an affinity group discount that the tickets are will call then I expect they will be will call.
Interesting. Since MDE was first created, we have done many Christmas Parties, Halloween Parties, After hours, Early Morning Magic, etc. events, all with DVC/AP discounts. Never once have we done anything than tap our MB and go in. Never had to go to Will Call for any of them.

Similarly, we get DVC discounted APs every year. After renewing online, I have always gone to Guest Services to activate them with our DVC cards and IDs. I mentioned this to my brother who is also DVC. He said, "why do you that? We renew them online and then never go anywhere to activate it after that. Just tap and walk in like always."

So not exactly a consistent requirement for any of this.

I know this is a different event, but I think other events with tiered-release dates had withheld a certain amount for each release tier. So I think there's hope for those trying for the June 15 release date to gain currently sold out dates.

I also wonder how much of the ticket reserve is due to the current capacity. Meaning that as full capacity increases so too would the proportion for limited-capacity events. Sold-out at current capacity limits, may not mean sold out forever.

I agree! I am certain that in the past we have bought APs and not gone to GS prior to the first entry. Last time we scanned in and it wouldn't turn green. They scanned our bands with their little handheld scanner and said our APs needed activated at GS. It's hard telling what the reality will be....and now consistent THAT will even be. lol

I would just hate for people that arrive close to after hours event start time to be stuck in a long line at GS and lose some of their event time getting tickets activated. I hope they do just work directly from linking in MDE for everyone!

UPDATE: New Dates Available for ‘Disney After Hours Boo Bash’ At Walt Disney World Resort!

Sunday, September 19, 2021
Sunday, October 10, 2021
Sunday, October 17, 2021

These dates will be available when tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 15, and you can see below for the full list of event dates.

Darn I’d much rather have gotten tickets for Sunday 9/12 than Friday 9/10...I know I can change date after June 15 but OMG it’s not worth spending another day on the phone🙁 however it’s good to hear that they are not just increasing capacity on current days.

Not sure what you are asking... Are you asking the maximum tickets one can purchase? You normally can buy up to the number of people on your reservation.
No I am sorry for not being more clear, will we ever know how many tickets are sold for each Boo bash??

No. We'll never know actual numbers for anything because Disney doesn't release it. There's estimates and guestimates that are probably close.
The fact that they are selling out before the 15th says it's low to me.

I asked this earlier, and searched to see if anyone responded, and read post 1, but does anyone know if the AP discount can be used on multiple tickets, or just on my ticket, the AP holder. Thanks!

I used my discount on 4 tickets. There are 4 in my family/travel party.
