Fast pass w/DVC tour

so when I made our reservation, a note popped up about a DVC tour and getting 3 extra fast passes.
I did the "tour" over the phone and when it was done the CM said to stop in at our resort's DVC desk and they'd load our fastpasses.
For those of you that have gotten these before, do you have to book these fast passes or are they like the ones you can use anytime (like the ones they give you when a ride is down that you have a fast pass for?)

They are anytime FP+. We've received a few over the years, and the only "attraction" that I remember not being able to use them on was the Anna & Elsa meet at MK (which has since moved to Epcot).

yes there might be a few rides you can not do I I am thinking pandora maybe, but they will tell you when you get them.

I think they told me FEA and 7DMT

Just be careful using them on rides that you already have FP+ for. If you tap in one minute outside the window for yours, it will use theirs. Which could make it where you don't get to use one in some cases.

it is to buy DVC, you can stop at any DVC kiosk while you re at the parks and sign up, take about 90minutes to 2 hours.

We just got them 2 weeks ago when we added points while there. It's 3 per person. They show up in your MDE but you do not need to schedule them. They are good for 3 or 4 days. You can't use them at toy story, frozen, or mine train.

Exactly. We waited an extra 5 minutes just to make sure. If you tap one minute before your other FP is ready ( even though you are allowed), it will use the DVC one instead.

So this would only apply if you were using the extra DVC pass for the same ride in the same day near your scheduled FP window?

No. This would be a problem because you think you're using your scheduled FP+, but because you're early, it uses your anytime FP instead. Later, you'd try to be se our anytime pass on a diff rent ride and find out it's already been redeemed.

you only get 3 extra FP to use over the next 3 days( I think it is 3 days) so if you use 3 the next day you get no more, or you can wait for day 2, or use one one day and 2 another day or any combination.

Three total per person. You might also squeeze a gift card out of them.

We were on DCL & attended a DVC members meeting & sales pitch for add-on points & were told we can stop by Member Services when we're at WDW in August for 3 FP's per person. Met some nice people at the member meeting & the sales pitch only took 10 minutes (minimal pressure to buy; I didn't) so I thought it was worth the time.

3 FP per person. If you meet in person you can also get some gift cards. I think it's $50 per room. We had two rooms so we ended up with $100 in gift cards and 3 FP that can be used anywhere except pandora, 7dmt, FEA, and PP. If you meet in person and you miss a FP, as we missed PP, they will give you one for that attraction.

So you can listen over the phone prior to going and not take an actual tour?
