BOTH MAGIC KINGDON EVENTS (2/24/17 & 3/3/17) NOW SOLD OUT - updated 1/16/2017

Was just exploring the Member Website and noticed all of these upcoming complimentary Member Events planned for 2017:

Moonlight Magic at MK ( already announced for 2/24 & 3/3)

Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon on 6/22/2017 & 6/28/2017 & 7/5/2017 & 7/13/2017

Moonlight Magic at AK in September on 9/6/2017 & 9/13/2017

Moonlight Magic at EPCOT in December on 12/4/2017 and 12/11/2017

Moonlight Magic at Disneyland Park on 11/15/2017

Member Cruise (sold out)

Check out details on the Member Website - booking is going to be online and we'll have to check back to find out when the reservations will begin.

Here's the typical fine print:

Important Information

  • Reservations are required and limited. Unfortunately, walk-ins will not be permitted.
  • Valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and photo ID required at check-in.
  • Complimentary admission to the after-hours event at Epcot is valid for the duration of the event. If you wish to enter Epcot before the event, valid theme park admission is required.
  • Offer is complimentary, non-transferable and cannot be sold.
  • Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.
  • We request that Members cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Event may be canceled at the discretion of Disney Vacation Club due to inclement weather and Members will be notified via resort communication.

All of them sound like fun. Hope everyone can take advantage of one of them. :)

Aside from the out of hours stuff, does anything else good happen at these events?

Free ice cream treats and bags of snacks. At AK they gave coupons for free games. Live entertainment, meet Ken Potrock and other DVC officials. Probably some more things.

We enjoyed the TL event... it poured for the AK event we went to last year.

I guess there won't be Merry Mixers next year if they aren't mentioned, and the nights at Epcot are.

For the park events, how many, which attractions are operational?

I have once again succeeded in booking vacations that do not coincide with any of these events!

For the first time I actually nailed it!! Although I have NEVER been to any of the water parks (we have a pretty good one local and I am very particular about losing resort and park time for experiences I have close to home) it seems I will be able (if I snag a ressie) to the Typhoon Lagoon event. So people who have done these...what really goes on? I would be giving up a much coveted Be our guest dinner ressie and night magic hours at MK if we go for it-sounds like fun?

We are going to go to the one in MK this year. We attended the one at AK last year, and we had a ball! EE was walk on, as was most of the other rides. They had ice cream treats, chips, and drinks (lemon aid and tea) for free. My favorite part was meeting Chip and Dale as Rescue Rangers and LaunchPad McQuack. They gave away two free games per person to play in the Dino area and the kids each won a stuffed animal. We talked about moving our October reservation to September so we could go, but I think it isn't going to work for us.

We have done the Typhoon Lagoon event the last 2 years and it was a lot of fun both times. Also did the MK event this past year.

How hard is it to get a reservation? The group I have is really excited about it...now to see if I can change our original ressies!!

I haven't tried for past events, but I was still able to register for the MK Feb 24 one yesterday. March 3 sold out already though.

I'm really excited about these events! I booked a short stay in December to attend the Epcot event, and I'm considering AK in September (either in addition or instead of the Epcot one). Epcot is my favorite park, but AK just after Pandora opening sounds amazing. Can't decide!

The MK DVC After Hours events began booking in early December. On site DVC guests were able to reserve for several days before the events opened to all DVC members. The March event just recently sold out and AFAIK,a the February 24 event is still open.

Does anyone have any idea when the TL July 5th event will open for reservations?

Avatar is supposed to open this summer. Wondering if it will be available during the AK nights in September. We are planning to go down for a short trip to take advantage of the magical night offer.

also, anyone know where/when they will announce that we can reserve spots? Will it be on the DVC page?

Following. I would also like to know when we will be able to make a reservation for the Dec EP event!

Noticed that both MK dates are now sold out. Updated first post to reflect that.
