Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Can anyone tell me if there are any extra toiletries for a AKL CL stay? We are staying DVC CL here for 3 nights and I was wondering if there were upgraded shampoo, conditioner, etc, and if we would be able to get extra when there? We switch to another hotel after the 3 nights and are having GG deliver the big shampoo and conditioner to the next hotel but wondering if I will survive 3 nights on toiletries in the room lol! Thanks!!

It's the same grapefruit one that most deluxes have. Unlike all other DVC stays you get daily housekeeping on CL so you can get more with no charge. Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower gel. Hit or miss we get toothbrushes and toothpaste, aloe gel and mouthwash.

Does
this work when you are doing a split stay? We are moving into a DVC villa after our club stay. Can we get back into the Club area? Will the Magic Bands still work?

Yes the bands work until midnight, even if you check into your new hotel. I've done this several times.

We are staying CL at Grand Floridian in June. We've stayed CL at Poly and AKL. We haven't been contacted about itinerary planning yet. We don't want much (golf and a spa treatment). Is this service no longer available?
This service was stopped sometime near the end of last year. Some this is supposed to be put in place this year, but who knows when. The cast members working at the GF should be able to help you when you arrive.

I'm sure this has been asked before but has anyone ever requested a late check out time? Disney told me it's based on availability and couldn't tell me the fee. Anyone have any info?
Thanks

Unless it's changed, late check out (if available) is free until 1 pm; 1/2 night room charge until 3 pm; and a full night's rate after 3 pm.

WL CL gave us a 1pm checkout on 12/22 with no additional charge. I asked, she looked at the computer, and said 1pm was no problem at all. For what it's worth, I asked the day before so we could plan ahead.

This is what we did when we requested late check out (bold part). We weren't staying CL on that trip, but I inquired at the front desk a few days prior to check out and was told to check back the day before. Some people say housekeeping makes the decision on late check out, but ours was granted by a front desk CM.

Heads up to those with APs, late spring AP discounts came out this morning. Travel dates 4/9/17-6/10/17. I only spent time searching the monorail resorts but it looked like Poly & CR CL rates were generally 25% off rack rate (compared to 15% which is the general public offer at the moment), and 30% off at GF RPC & SL (compared to 20% general public offer).

Happy booking! Although let me finish making my plans before y'all go and snag all the AP discounts. Lol....

Thanks for this... we are waiting for the summer ones... looks like we have another couple of months to wait it out until those are released. We're already all booked at BC CL and Poly CL but would love to save a few $$ :-)

Hey GADisneyDad! Did you see any AP rates on BC? Thanks!:dance3:

Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if there are any black out dates? I am specifically looking for April 21-24, which I know is blackout for the military discount. I'm not necessarily looking for CL for this trip....but if the price is right...

Don't know for sure about those specific dates (I can check in a bit) but Easter week is NOT blacked out so I'm suspecting your dates are not blacked out either.

BC appears to be 25% off with AP discount. AKL is 35% off. And I'm thrilled to see GF at 30% off - I was only expecting 25% off since the GP discount is 20%.

Looks like AP discount may be 10% better than GP discount across the board. Every time I think I might not renew my AP, things like this happen - lol.

Thank you! I had an existing reservation at CSR and I was able to get my rate lowered! :)

I was hoping for some help/opinions.

Backstory.... Last year we had GF Sugarloaf booked for our 9 year wedding anniversary. We were married at the GF and our reception was at the Boardwalk so celebrating at Disney is sentimental. We were traveling with my then 19 month old and we were set to arrive just a few days after the horrible alligator attack. It was a little too close to home and I was a wreck thinking about being there with my toddler (not for fear of safety, just from sadness of the situation). We switched to a split stay between Beach Club Stone Harbor and the Poly.

This year is our tenth anniversary. So of course I want to celebrate at Disney. I was thinking of doing a private dinner at the GF because V&A's is not an option when traveling with a 2 1/2 year old. I am so torn on where to stay. I really want to stay at GF but we probably can't swing Royal Palm so we would stay in Sugar Loaf. Still, I could probably stay at BC (the pool is great for my toddler but we have stayed there twice in the last year) or Boardwalk (because we stayed there on our wedding night in a garden suite) for up to 1k less. We have stayed at all of the deluxes and have stayed at BW, Beach, and Poly concierge level so trying something new is not a point because there isn't too much new to us. I just want good service, food and amenities.

What would you all do? What do you recommend for a 10th anniversary trip with a toddler, or what is your favorite? We are DVC and have AP's so I should be able to secure some kind of discount....

Thank you!!!

I'm not really answering your question and you may have no interest in this, but we stayed at the Four Seasons for our 10-year. Depending on the time of year and your view category, FS is actually pretty comparable and even cheaper than some CLs in some cases, from what I found. Although it can certainly be way more expensive with certain rooms/views as well.

We wouldn't normally go to a place like that just because it's not really our style, but it definitely deserves consideration for a milestone celebration or just to do something different. You say service, food, and amenities - FS is going to beat Disney on all three more often that not, generally speaking.

But outside of doing something offscript like that - keeping with the service, food, and amenities theme - I think I'd go with GF. FWIW, I just booked a GF SL trip myself.

Thanks, as a new AP holder I am surprised Disney doesn't email these out. I booked AKL CL as a pre-cruise trip in May. Why not, haha. We were planning this before the AP discount, but with the discount, why not stay another day! My wife wants the pre-cruise trip to be relaxed, so I figure being far away in AKL won't be a problem.

Hello all! DH and I currently have a reservation booked for a deluxe CL room at BWI this May for our anniversary. I'm considering switching to the garden cottages and welcome opinions on both. We've stayed at the BW several times before but only on the villa side. The cottages look very pretty, but I wasn't sure how far they are from the lounge. Thanks! :)

No kidding, right? I have to thank a fellow DISer for giving me the heads up. Not sure why they make it such a chore to actually follow various discounts, even the non-AP ones.

Stick with your deluxe room. The cottages are outside the main building near the quiet pool and really are a distance from the lounge. You have to exit your cottage, enter the main building and go up the elevator to the 4 the floor. The cottages are nice, but I think the deluxe room are so much better and you get a great view!

Have you considered getting a baby sitter for one night for a grown-up meal? We did that when we stayed at DL with our 2 year old, and it was a life saver. There are a few sitter services recommended here on the DIS, and while they won't be cheap, it might be a useful expense. As for where to stay, I say talk to your husband, and go where your heart tells you 2 to go

I have an August reservation for BC CL, and have previous stays at BC and YC CL. I heard a rumor that IPO was no longer doing any actual planning, and was instructing people to contact Disney directly. This was not a happy moment for me, since we are travelling with three other families and the other folks in particular need ADR and planning assistance. I emailed YC/BC IPO and got the following automatic response: "Thank you for contacting us at Walt Disney World Resort. Our Concierge team is currently assisting other guests. However, our reservation cast member are available to assist you with your planning needs. If you are looking to book a dining reservation, please contact 407-WDW-DINE from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time or visit My Disney Experince. For other types of requests please contact 407-WDISNEY. A cast member will be happy to assist you. We look forward to seeing you once you arrive at the resort." This looks like IPO is no longer available??? Does anyone have any information???
