Disney Gift Card Deals

Is that with Amex? I remember reading about it but wasn't sure if it was working and/or if you have to sign up or do you just get it by using Walmart pay?

You set it up in the Walmart app. Just make sure there is an Amex showing as a payment method within your Walmart account and select it at checkout. I bought all merchandise, but others have reported being able to add a gift card to their merchandise to hit the $100 purchase requirement. I tried just buying a $100 Walmart card and was unsuccessful.

Has anyone tried using this promotion multiple times?

No but I think they limit it to one per Walmart pay account. So if you had one and your dh had one you should be able to do the deal twice.

A whole week of no posts on this thread...boo!

I'm eagerly awaiting the next Kroger 4x fuel points offer.

I'm considering trying a different cash back type of credit card. What's the best one? Is it the Amex one that charges the yearly fee but you get really good deals with it? I need something to make up for my lack of eBay bucks promos.

There are a lot of different types of Amex cards, some of which (Blue) don't have annual fees.

I have the AM Ex blue (no fees) and I've received all but I believe 1 or 2 of the offers that have been mentioned on here.

With the Amex cards you have to estimate whether you would spend enough at grocery stores to make the $95 fee worth it. If you spend over $3,167 at grocery stores per year (about $264/month) the preferred card is better.

Ok, so this is the break even point between Amex blue and Amex blue preferred? I know I spend more than that on groceries per year...Seems like when I have done research on this in the past these are the two I kept coming down to.

On another subject, our last few months of eBay churning, I managed to rack up a few Walgreens Balance rewards pts. I also set up my Garmin and iPhone so that I can get pts for exercise. Has anyone tried to use these towards a gift card (only - no other merchandise) in store? Right now I have $5 worth I could use.

Yes assuming I did the math right. $3,200 of spending at 6% less the $95 fee > $3,200 spending at 3%.

If you're going to get an Amex card for the offers, consider applying for several different Amex products and adding authorized users on each so you can increase your odds of getting those offers and the number of times you can add and redeem offers. Each AU gets a unique credit card number so your AU(s) can receive and add their own offers, in addition to yours. Of course, this will affect your 5/24 limit if you plan on adding a Chase card to the mix in the next 2 years.

And in addition to the grocery cash back, I believe the Preferred gives you 3% back on gas versus 2% on the Blue Everyday. Same thing at Department stores I believe.

So if I use the preferred card at a grocery to buy gift cards I'll get 6% back on the gift cards?

Just got a text from ebay that I have some ebay bucks to spend - brought back some memories! I looked and didn't see any rules against using them to buy a gift card, so I thought of getting a Best Buy card, but the only authorized seller is PPDG. :darth: Then I looked at Landry's cards, and saw
Cardency: $50/100 all Landry's restaurants, $3.80 postage
PPDG: $25/50/100, all Landry's restaurants, free shipping
SVM: $50/100, Landry's seafood, free shipping. Not sure I want to take a chance that the Disney Landry's restaurants will accept this.
And of course, the authorized seller for Southwest is PPDG as well.

So what would you do? And have any of you tried shopping through PPDG recently? I have less than $10, so I could just apply it to something else, but there's a part of me that just wants to get the most I can for our DIsney trip.

I think PPDG is ok for small amounts - although I haven't used them lately. I would get a BB card to convert to Disney.

I just used mine to buy a $25 Best Buy card without any problems.
