Discounts on Disney Gift Cards, all but gone?

Although I live on the west coast, someone on one of the forums just posted that even non-members could buy discounted Disney GC at BJs online. I tried it about an hour ago and was successful. The benefit comes when you use a Chase Freedom Visa. $100 Disney GC are $94.99 at BJs and you get an additional 5% rebate from Chase Freedom until December 31. That is almost a 10% savings. The best thing about this is you do NOT need to be a BJ member to order these discounted gift cards, and there is no surcharge or shipping fee. This was a pretty painless way to save 10% if you own a Chase Freedom Visa. :)
Wow, I wouldn't have expected that. But as long as Target will give me 5% that's the route I will go.

If you do not have a Discover Card or have it for less than a year, then the absolute best way to go is to buy Disney Gift Cards thru a wholesale club (I did Sam's, but BJ's is a bit better). Discover will give 5% at Wholesale Clubs 1st Qtr 2017 AND you get a BONUS 5% in your first year as a new member. So you get 10% CASH BACK as a new (less than 1 year) Discover cardholder on top of BJ's 5% savings. Limited to $1500 in purchases. You get the first 5% at monthly statement closing and the big 5% Extra Bonus at year-end anniversary. All good things come to those who wait !!!

I buy ours at Kroger and then use the fuel points. Not a huge savings, but every little bit helps.

Thats what we do with the 4x fuel points. We buy $500 ones and then we have several fill-ups with a dollar off. With 4 kids and 1 who does gymnastics an hour away 3-4 times a week, this is a much better deal for us.

Can you still use Target GC to buy Disney GC? Not asking about stacking with the RC 5%, just a straight purchase. I've seen some sites this week with Target GC at more than 5% off I might want to grab.

Only in store, and there have been some sporadic reports of cashiers not allowing it. The registers will accept the transaction and it is not expressly prohibited.

I'm scared to be stuck with $500+ in target gift cards if they won't let me use them to buy Disney GCs. Do you guys just do it little by little?

My grocery store had double fuel perks, I bought $1700 worth to pay my DVC dues. Getting 3 free tanks, my first one was worth $37. So around $110. Plus I used my Southwest Visa.

I purchased $300 worth the other day but I usually use self checkout when I buy GCs with GCs.

When not using GCs to purchase GCs I usually go to Giant Eagle to get mine. I have a large SUV so I get 30 gallons of gas. The usually discount works out to basically 6% but when fuel perks are doubles it's 12%. I use a lot of gas so it works best for me, I know it's not cash off but it's cash equivalent.

This is what I have done for our trips as well. Wait for the bonus fuel perks and get the 12% savings on gas. We no longer have a vehicle that holds 30 gallons at a time, so we utilize gas cans to maximize the savings. It's nice that GE carries the $500 Disney gift cards too!

So I bought 10 100 Disney Gift cards at BJ's for $949 dollars. I used my Disney Credit card to get the Disney dollars to load onto my redemption card and then I loaded the gift cards onto the DVA to pay for my vacation which every $1,000 gets you a $20 dollar gift card!!

Do any of the online GC re-seller sites sell Disney GC's?
I've seen them in the past, but have not checked recently. You have to be careful because there are 2 types of Disney cards. There are the normal Disney cards that you see in the stores, but there are also cards that are merchandise credit that can only be used at the Disney Stores. Because of this I normally avoid those.

The Discover 5% cash back info for Q2 is now out--it's for home improvement stores and wholesale clubs, so this should work through June now (up to $1500 in purchases in Q2, just like in Q1.)

I was at my Sams club today. They were no Disney gift cards on the shelf. I'm wondering if they were just sold out of them or if they aren't carrying them anymore. I'm thinking that because it's so close to Spring break that people are buying them to pay off their trip. At least I'm hoping that's what it is.....
