***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Hey everybody I am writing to you from our room in the YC. We had a great first day. Friday started by us oversleeping by a half hour because my husband accidentally set the alarm for 2:30 pm instead of am. I think I took the fastest shower that I ever have in my life and luckily he showered the night before so we were able to be ready for our airport pickup at 3:30 am. Somehow when we printed out our boarding passes we had the TSA pre so did not have to remove anything. On the plane was a kid who kept getting sick rows ahead of us the whole flight and after we landed so we are hoping it is not a stomach bug. Our bags were near the beginning coming out in the baggage claim. We got an
e-mail and text our room wasn't ready. By the time we got the rental car and drove to the resort we had not heard anything so decided to go to the front desk to ask if they knew how much longer since we would be going out and not get back until late. The CM found a different room for us that was available. We had a quick bite at BC Marketplace before walking to Epcot. Before I forget to mention it they were working on the train display in the lobby of YC and it still wasn't finished when we got back after Illuminations. We will see when we go down to breakfast. We got to 5 of the storytellers and saw the movie in France before our wonderful CP package dinner at Chefs for the 8:15 pm show. The family in line in front of us that we talked to as we waited to be let in came because the older daughter's school was performing and it just so happens they are from our state. We had people around us at the show singing a lot of the songs. I do not remember that happening before but it was wonderful to see everyone getting into it. We joined in. Whoopi was wonderful! Today is our only non Disney day where we go to SW for their holiday celebration.

Hi everyone! About to get up and moving for park day number 3! We got in Wednesday night and just got dinner from Everything POP and watched some basketball in the room before going to bed early. First day was Boma breakfast, AK, Yak and Yeti lunch, then we checked in to OKW and went to MVMCP.
Yesterday we slept in a little and got to MK about 10:30. Successfully used SDFP for the first time! The park seemed fairly crowded for a party day but not too bad. Lots of cheerleaders. We spent most the day in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Left about 5:30 and went and looked at Christmas decorations at WL, GF and CR. Had a delicious dinner at The Wave. Loved their white sangria, beef tenderloin and mac and cheese, oh and their bread! Used UBER for the first time last night from GF to OKW, super easy and so much faster than monorailing to MK and taking a bus with the party crowd.
Plan for today is EPCOT!
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Quick question for those there already or arriving today. Do you get a text from Disney only when your room is ready or do you get one first with your room assignment and then one when the room is ready? We are checking in tomorrow.

We received a text that our room was not ready yet soon after we landed. And it still isn't ready.

We checked into the GF and walked to the Poly for lunch at Captain Cooks

Now we are taking a boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge to explore the construction.

It is a gorgeous day although a little too cool and windy for swimming. But we are loving the casual start to our trip. We plan to head to Epcot before 4pm so I'm really hoping the room is ready before then.

Full of questions today. If you are wearing you magic band on a ride with photos does it automatically load to memory maker or do you need to take some sort of action after the ride? A coworker told me I'd you don't tap you magic band it won't show up in your account. I don't want to miss out on pictures when we start riding stuff tomorrow so just checking! Hope everyone who is there already had fun today. We had a lot of fun today at Kennedy Space Center but I'm super excited about heading to Disney tomorrow morning!

I got two texts. The first said my room was ready and gave my room number and what building that was in, and the second text had a link to a resort map.

We got a text message as we were on the magic express saying our room was ready. This was around 1 pm.

Hi all, tired after a long full day.... Wild Africa Trek was great and enjoyed a few more hours in AK. JBJB was okay and was glad to sit with and meet some Dis'ers!!! Sister didn't love it though and forced me to cancel illuminations dessert party on wednesday and H&V dinner on Monday. Hope someone enjoys them.

I hope to see a couple people tomorrow at EMM!

We stopped at the GF registration desk around two o'clock to see if our room was ready and the wonderful CM found us a room with a better view. She said that we were originally assigned to a room with a view of the monorail. She switched us to a lagoon view room that faces the Polynesian. We could see the Electric Water Pageant from our balcony. We are really happy with the room location. :)

We went to Epcot this evening and then to Crews Cup at the Yacht Club. The Christmas train display in the YC lobby is really cool. It has a detailed little village with a train running around it. I was really impressed. We need to go back there and spend more time looking at all the details. The chocolate carousel at the BC is beautiful and well worth a stop. And of course we have the Gingerbread house here at the Grand Floridian that smells so good. :)

We also stopped at the Wilderness Lodge and had our picture taken in front of their big tree. It turned into something of a resort day with lunch at the Poly, shopping and pictures at the WL, dinner at the YC and checking out the BC display. We never made it over to DHS. We had too much fun checking out Christmas decorations instead. :)

We plan to go to MK tomorrow morning. I hope everyone who is at WDW now is having a good trip.

Just popping in to share really quick on our bus ride "home".

We had our sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness tonight, and the night was so wonderful. Our sleigh ride was at 9pm, and we stepped off around 9:10pm. After that, we were at the boat dock to Magic Kingdom just in time to happen upon the Electrical Water Pageant. Then we saw Holiday Wishes from the boat to Magic Kingdom where we were grabbing our bus home. We landed just in time to watch the finale from just in front of bah check at Magic Kingdom. We could not have timed it any more perfectly! Such a great endcap to a great first day!

That sounds lovely. :) We are at the GF and saw the Electric Water Pageant and Holiday Wishes tonight, too. What a finale! I need to see this again.

The GF has a "Gone Mad" party on Sunday and Wednesday night. The have dance music and sell refreshments by the marina in front of Gasparilla's. They play the music from Holiday Wishes, too. It sounds like you are right there in the MK. We could even see Tinker Bell! It was really nice.

We have been here two days now and both nights we just happened to be at a resort when they were having a campfire. We roasted marshmallows at both the Beach Club and the Contemporary. Both places give you the marshmallows for free but the Contemporary also sells S'mores kits for $10 which contain two surprise pins. I love roasting marshmallows. :)

We were at the MK this morning and it wasn't crowded in the morning. We rode the Jingle Cruise first thing and our driver was really entertaining. It was a lot of fun because it was all new jokes to us.

How's the Pop Warner crowd so far?

I've seen quite a few big groups but only at MK, none at EPCOT so far (didn't go to HS and AK was Thurs when I think a lot of them weren't here yet). MK seemed pretty crowded to us today and Friday, more crowded today than Friday it seemed. We utilized our FP+ and SDFP pretty well so we didn't have any long waits, but trying to walk through the park it was just a lot more crowded than we expected.

DS was very very crowded tonight, and we decided we aren't fans of the new DS and won't be heartbroken at all if we don't get over there on our next trip. We talked to some locals who said it's been just crazy lately, the worst they've ever seen it. It wasn't crowded because of Pop Warner though, just crowded. So crowded.

We were at SW on Sat and there was some foreign tour group of mostly kids that were chanting something all through the park. They were loud and annoying. Yesterday we had breakfast at Trattoria. The seasonal pancakes happened to be apple caramel crumble and they were so good. We spent the day mostly in Epcot FW with a quick visit to Club Cool. We had dinner at LC and were surprised when we got to a table were given a thank you card because we had dinner there on several previous trips. After that we did one storyteller and The American Adventure. We have another Epcot day tomorrow so after the few FW attractions we have to do hopefully we will get to see the remaining storytellers. Today we will be in MK.

Hi guys, haven't checked in here in little bit, been too distracted looking at everyone's fb posts who are already down there, lol. It's finally almost my turn! I fly out of Newark tomorrow at 10:40!:banana::banana::banana::banana: I am sooooooooooooo excited!!! Packing is mostly done, save for few toiletry odds and ends.

If you happen to see me when we're there, don't hesitate to say hi! I have a bright blue one shoulder sling bag with a 1st Week of December tag on both the front and the back!

Happy travels to all those who haven't left yet!

Good evening, everyone!!! I hope you're all having an amazing time for those of you that are here!! And others (@DisneyBelle27 ) .. safe travels tomorrow!!
It's been such an incredible few days. Flying by!!!!! :( everything has been awesome... and one "word"
SDFP!! They're awesome. I haven't been to wdw in ages, so I can't compare, but it seemed that mk was mobbed today. Could have just been certain times/locations. But I'm curious to know what the actual level is/was. Hope you're all well! See some of you at the dessert party !
