Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

You could have your pictures made into a picture book at Shutterfly. I have done that for my mother the last couple trips and she loves it.

I think I will definitely be doing that. It's such a nice keepsake to have. Maybe that, and one really nice framed or canvas photo of the whole family...

Okay, Im so annoyed... I just found out that The Wave is having a buffet only on Thanksgiving day. First the Lunch menu change at Liberty Tree Tavern and now this. And to top if off, the CM I talked to said there was NO price! I have 2 FP+ at MK that I cant move around because they are gone for the day and have to fit dinner in between them. The CM suggested at place at the Swan for dinner....

Thankfully I managed to get an ADR at Sipper Canteen that will work, Im very unhappy with the fact that Disney cant see to release anything in a timely manner.

on the plus side, Im down to the single digits! Nine more days!:bounce:

I checked this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/buffet-character-shows-aycte-pricing.3108466/

and there's a price for Christmas but not Thanksgiving. I'd imagine they're the same though. Sorry it's so challenging to find a place to eat on Thanksgiving day! :(

I know I shouldnt be upset, but its frustrating with all the changes. I just didnt wanted to make sure we had a place to eat. I have the TP ADR finder looking for either Kona or GFC also, just in case.

I am not prepared for this trip at all!!!!!! Ugh, I'm freaking out today. We leave in 9 days. I don't even have our schedules figured out yet, and trying select clothing for this time of year is presenting a problem. What do you guys pack?

Can't wait to try out PizzeRizzo in just a couple weeks! It opens this Friday so I'll be anxious to see more photos of the inside. I love the looks of the balcony seating and we should have fantastic weather for sitting outside!

Great idea on the balcony seating!

Packing lots of layers but the pants thing worries me. I get cold easily and we have a cou0le of afternoon breaks at the resort i will change to pants. But the 9-7 days I have no idea as I think I will get warm in the middle of the day. But as soon as that sun goes down...brrŕ!

I'm planning on capri leggings every day. Starting the day with short sleeves and bringing lightweight sweatshirts and probably my fleece. Will do socks/sneakers for footwear every day. Basically, exercise clothes...!

I tend to wear jeans even when it's hot outside, so I may be biased. But if it doesn't get out of the 70s (and AccuWeather says it shouldn't) pants should be fine. If you're worried, though, and have a break at the resort mid-day, changing into pants like you said is a good idea. As far as tops, I'm planning to wear a t-shirt, with a hoodie around my waist and a thin, long-sleeve t-shirt in my backpack in case it gets really cold on us. I guess it also depends on how much you're willing to pack--for a 9-day-away-from-home (8 actually in Orlando) trip, I'm packing 5 pair of jeans, 10 (1 for unforeseen shirt-messing contingency) t-shirts, 6 long-sleeve t-shirts, and 2 hoodies. Maybe I'm over-packing but I've had it go from warm enough to ride water rides to frigid on the same day during a previous trip during this week, so I'm travelling prepared.

I went to 6 stores in the last 2 days trying to find cargo shorts in a medium khaki color for my very picky husband...he ripped his only freaking pair last week of course. All I can find in stores are clearanced which is great, but unfortunately not in his size. Or color wash, or the right length...

he's on his own now. I like shopping but not with THAT much of a purpose!!

This is me too - yoga leggings/capris and tees. hoodie for AM/PM. I'll have a pair of long pants or two just in case. And comfy tennis shoes.

Function over fashion for me!

If I had a pair of jeans that fit well I'd wear those, but after converting to leggings and yoga pants 75% of the time I just don't love wearing jeans haha.

A lot of leggings, tshirts and sweatshirts for morning and evening. Weather report is looking good and warm and comfortable. Not too hot and not cold either. My kids will most likely wear shorts though.

That's reminds me that DH needs a couple of pairs of shorts. I looked in the stores, no joy this time of year. Have you looked on Amazon? I saw a bunch on there, that's where I'll be ordering from.
