***The Official May 2017 Thread***

Oh ok, I get it now! I didn't realize you could book dining at 180+ days when you already have your trip booked. No wonder those Crystal Palace PPO reservations are so hard to get, lol! I learn something new every day. I guess I should go ahead and book then!

Yep! :flower1: It's one of the benefits of staying on-site--we usually book around 4 months in advance so this is the first time that the 180 days point has mattered. It was amazing to see how little availability there was for some meals already! The good news I can pass along though is that we've always gotten in when/where we want--sometimes it takes a bit more work to book a restaurant that's super popular, or to get it at a particular time, but people make changes to their schedules right up to the day before. Happy booking!

I got up at 6am and made all my dining reservations this morning! woo hoo! At first 1900 Park Fare wasn't showing any availability, but about 15 minutes later it was. Weird. And I'm surprising DH and the kiddos with the Polynesian Luau this year! I have done it before, but DH and DD haven't and it's DS's first trip, so he definitely hasn't  I remember loving it, so I hope it's still awesome and I know that the kids will have fun :goodvibes

Are you guys on the Dining plan?

Has anyone been during Gay Days before? We are going May 27-June 3 and didn't know how much the crowds would be effected. If it will be super busy we may move our trip up a couple weeks but that would mean switching from POFQ to POR and we really wanna try FQ

I was there while Gay Days were held in 2001...obviously that was a long time ago, and crowds and things have changed, but at that time I didn't notice that the crowds were any different during any other time that I've been there in recent years. The only thing I noticed was a lot more people wearing red shirts :-)

Anyone know the discounts that were offered this past May? I'm seeing "Up to 35% off room-only rates for general public (also bookable as package w/tickets and/or dining plan)" on MouseSavers but I am trying to find something more specific (mainly looking at the Values).

I appreciate all of your replies and I am very excited for you all! We are looking at May 20 - 27. Hopefully crowds will be manageable even though schools are letting out. We are very excited. Where is everyone staying? I have heard Art of Animation is nice.
We are going May 21 to 28 and staying at AOA in the Little Mermaid rooms--will be our first time in a Disney resort

We are going May 13th thru 15th, and staying at Pop Century. Then taking a Disney cruise from the 15th thru the 19th. Then finishing off our vacation, staying the 19th thru the 24th at the Contemporary. We will probably need a vacation after this vacation?

I will be there in May 15-22 to celebrate my law school graduation!! It will be me, my husband, our kid (7, 5, and almost 2) and my dad. We got a Cars Suite. We have been to Disneyland twice, but this is our first time to Disney World. I am getting excited for booking ADRs. I have my list narrowed down to Chef Mickey, Cinderella's Royal Table, H&V, BOG, Sci-Fi & Garden Grill!

Hi everybody!

2nd trip to Disney, booked for May 9 - 14 2017. Rented DVC points; staying at Beach Club Villas! Me, DH, DS16, DS14, DD 10. Celebrating a tiny bit belated, my son's sweet 16 and my husband & I's 15th wedding anniversary. Just booked our ADRs yesterday & got everything I wanted to! :D Also, going to be the BEST Mother's Day ever! :D

Moving on from Disney 14th - 20th, staying in Madeira Beach. A little beachy relaxation after the parks.

I don't know anything specific but I spoke with our TA a couple of weeks ago and she called Disney to ask about any potential deals during Spring Break (April/May) and the CM told her they aren't that far into the 2017 calendar year yet but to keep checking because something could pop up in the next month or so. If I happen to see something I'll come back here and share! :)

Awesome! Thank you so much :)

Does anyone have any insight as to why the all stars are completely booked in early may?
