The year of living Disney - Autumn and deluxe dining TR**NEW TR LINK UP 1/16**

Wow, your first time seeing Fantasmic :) Isn't it great that there's so much to do there, there's always something "new"? Fantasmic isn't our favorite nighttime entertainment but we like it; just don't do it every trip. My kids never got scared of it but I know some do so I suppose you're not a total wimp :rotfl2:It's been about 2 years since we've watched it so I'm hoping to catch it next month, but they keep adding nighttime stuff (which is great!) so not sure we'll make it.

Your dessert tray at Cape May looks good. We're tryng dinner there for the first time next month since we're staying at the Beach Club. I don't do seafood so I'm hoping the other options are ok......if anything, I'll fill up on salad and desserts! That's perfectly OK to do in Disney right?? ::yes::

LOL on the boat being faster than walking. When we stay at the Epcot resorts we always walk to/from Epcot unless it's raining, walk to HS (again, not in rain) but tend to boat back from there. It's hit or miss if the boat beats us and when it does we're always like, "damn! Next time we boat!" And then inevitably when we're on the boat the next time, there's 45 people getting on and off at each stop so......but walking off dinner is a good way to look at it!

The last time we were at Disney, We also ate at Cape May. I love crab legs, but I also thought they were over cooked. We didn't have good service either. I don't think we will try it again. I loved walking around the beach club, though! Your Splash Mountain picture is cute! Did you have problems with the monorail breaking down while you were there? I'm curious because we are renting points and staying at my Dream place Grand Floridian Villaspixiedust: . I have read about some people having bad luck with the monorail?

To boat or not to boat, that is the question? We always do the same thing in the Boardwalk area. That dang boat moves so freaking slow and makes so many stops walking always seems easier. And then of course you get passed :-)

Glad to hear you all got to see Fantasmic finally. I completely agree its a bit scary in places, but all in the Disney way of course. We haven't seen it in a while so I'd be curious how Casey would like it these days. Maybe on the next trip, if I"m up for braving the crowds.

Oh my dear... you don't know me very well...

You spicy jalapeño!

And.... not possible

If that, Sir is an attempt to butter me up it's totally working!

She likes me! She really likes me!

 I do! I really do!

but they keep adding nighttime stuff (which is great!) so not sure we'll make it.

I think it's awesome they keep adding nighttime stuff, bit it makes it hard to do everything!

I don't do seafood so I'm hoping the other options are ok......if anything, I'll fill up on salad and desserts! That's perfectly OK to do in Disney right?? ::yes::

Totally ok to fill up on salad and desserts. My favorite thing at Cape May was the hearts of palm salad. I probably could have just had a bucket of that and dessert and been good to go.

So nice to have the option to walk, I really liked that option when we stayed at the Contemporary. I'm excited to stay on the Epcot side next time.

Bummer. I'm sorry! Our service was ok, not great. Plus she had a very heavy accent which made it hard to understand anything she was saying :confused3. But she did get points for the pretty chocolates she brought out.

Your Splash Mountain picture is cute!

Aww, thanks!

We only had issues with the monorail one day. We had lunch at the Wave at the Contemporary and we're going to catch it back to the Poly and it was broken down. It ended up not being a big deal though because they had extra busses running and one that took us straight to the Polynesian from there.

That dang boat moves so freaking slow and makes so many stops walking always seems easier. And then of course you get passed :-)

If only they had a cocktail bar on the boat.....:drinking1but then some of us might never get off the boat :rolleyes1

Ooh, Friendship Boat Booze Cruise!!! :thumbsup2

Woo hoo!! That would be awesome, wouldn't it!?

Yup, leaving tomorrow!

I posted over on your thread, but hope you have a fantastic time!

I prefer to think of it as intense at times - it definitely hits the highs and lows of some serious Disneyness!

Great way to put it!

Yeah, but it also makes it easy to keep us wanting to come back over and over.

That's for sure

Love the costumes. Y'all did a great job!

Thanks so much! We always have fun trying to figure out our theme for the year

Those costumes are terrific!
Looks like a fun place to work! :)

Love the costumes! I love Halloween but have never been creative AT ALL when it comes to costumes - thanks mom! Unfortunately my boys have had to deal with that. Looks like you all had fun at work!

Sooooo, I had my next chapter 90% finished in a saved draft and let it sit for a couple of days and went back in to finish it this afternoon and poof, it was gone.

I'm bummed! I usually just sit down and write what I'm thinking on the fly, so I didn't have it saved anywhere >:( so it's going to be a few more days until I Can get some time to sit down and write it again... Sorry guys!

Ugh, this happens to me ALL THE TIME :furious: I guess the Dis only gives us so much time to get our butts in gear and finish our posts!
