Anyone started Christmas shopping yet? What, Where and for who?

If anyone needs 4x6 prints for Christmas cards, Amazon Prints (a new service) is giving Prime Members 50 free prints with coupon code OCT50PRINTS. Shipping is also free for Prime Members but some people on Slickdeals are reporting problems with that - theory is that that it might be giving free shipping to only the primary member, not household members. I got free shipping on my order, I am the primary (and only) person on my Prime account.

I just got a baby alive bye bye (the crawling one) with some extra clothes on rollback online at Walmart for $40 for DD4.

Also: my kid's birthday is in January, so I just use some of the surplus (usually end up w slightly :rolleyes1 too many) gifts a birthday gifts!

I have the same problem, but with stocking stuffers. I always end up with too many. I actually bought DD a larger stocking a couple of years ago because the overflow was getting ridiculous. But of course that just further exacerbated the problem - now I buy even MORE, thinking I have more room to fill.

So now I just allow myself to grab anything that seems stocking size as I see it, and then on Christmas Eve I stuff as much as I can into the stocking, and put the rest aside for her Easter Basket. I am probably the only person who is over 50% done with an Easter Basket by Christmas :rolleyes1

OP here...

Well everyone is off to such a great start. :D

I hit up Kohls a couple of weeks ago for my DGS (20months) and bought 9 pairs those lightweight cotton sorta like sweat pants and a couple of pairs of the pull on jeans, They were like 4.99 each which was about the price I paid on Black Friday last year so I thought that was a great buy.

I headed over to old Navy - to look for some shoes for him that he needed right now, and scored 2 pairs of nice... really nice cargo pants and a long sleeve button up shirt for all that for under 20.00 dollar, the shoes were 19.99 plus 30% off so not bad on that. Oops almost forgot... a scarf for my cousin wife, she loves anything with a southwest look, its turquoise, with a print that looks that style I know she will love it. Out at 55.00 so not bad...

DH and I hit up Toy r Us and I was looking for a step for DGS (20 months), to use for the bathroom at the sink. Found what I was looking for so we decided to look around... We found a minions desk for him that was on clearance Original price 59.99 dollars mark down to 29.98 so great buy... then DH went to check the price and came back and was like its rings up 19.98 so we bought 2 one for our house and one for my DD to take to her house.

Going shopping with my mom tomorrow, so will be adding to the pile hopefully..

Happy Shopping

Moving along on my list now.

Got my husband an airplane Hallmark ornament that he collects from Kohls with my Kohls cash

I Got my Mom the Hallmark cards from QVC that they have as a Today's Special, she loves to keep stationary and cards on hand.

Got my sister a Cinderella watch from Kohls - it was on sale and I had a 30% off.

We're getting an absolute steal on a wooden dollhouse for DD3. Someone on our neighborhood listserv is selling the Magic Cabin house plus 4 out of the 5 furniture sets for it, all new, for $100. The house itself retails for $200 and the furniture sets are I think $25 each. We'll just have to buy a set of people for it, and will probably order the missing furniture set too. So that's her big Santa gift done.

We've also already got DD7's big Santa gift, a Meccano build-it-yourself robot that we picked up on clearance at Target back in July.

I'm trying to tone down Santa this year (which I say every year, lol) so in addition to those big gifts they'll each get some books, a game, and maybe 1-2 other small things.

We finally found a pool deck box for my inlaws, so we are done with them!!

My oldest son drives a 2001 Escape. Currently he is using a plug in car receiver so he can play music from his phone. I think we will get him a stereo for his car as his main gift.

My youngest son wants to build a gaming computer so we will get him some parts towards it. He doesn't want GC or money-he wants "real gifts" to open, so we will get some parts and have each of the grandparents get something towards it also. Then he can get whatever else he needs on his own. No way can we get the whole thing for him! ( I already have a gaming keyboard and mouse that Amazon had on Lightning Deals a few times)

I haven't started yet but I really need to. Especially with an upcoming trip.

Clueless on what to get for mom, she likes nicer things (Louis Vutton bags & wallets, Tiffany sunglasses, etc) so it's hard finding something in her budget. I may just do a $20 Sephora gift card since she saves all of those up and gets a $100+ perfume with them, but that's what I got her 2 holidays in a row. ._.
Sister (23) lives in California but visiting for the holidays. She's been struggling with money so I figured a Visa gift card or a funny Christmas card with a $20 in it would be fine.
Sister (16) LOVES makeup. I'm thinking a Sephora gift card or getting her a few eyeshadows and a liquid matte lip color from a brand she's been eyeing. They are pretty inexpensive too.
As for brother (13).... no clue. We both love games but those can be pricey. Maybe a poster or nerdy item would work
Bestie (turning 24) has a birthday next week. I'm just gonna get her a Disney gift card for our upcoming trip. But for Christmas i may make her a custom pair of ears :)

:)

Does he have the game Sushi Go? It's really a lot of fun for all ages. There's a more expensive version called Sushi Go Party that we haven't tried yet. That looks fun too but maybe a little more confusing.

Sushi Go is awesome!

I've been having a hard time finding things for my 11 year old.. was wandering through Target today, looking for forks (where do they disappear to?! Same black hole as left socks and tupperware lids, I think..) and came across the Cinderella Castle lego set.. for only $33! Snatched that up, since the regular price was $71!

They also had the "talking" Daisy tsumtsum for $6.50, nabbed that for the 3 year olds stocking.. and then one of the $3 tsumtsums for each of the three of them for their stockings.

Moving right along!

Just started shopping today! Started with my youngest, though he is the hardest...won't be buying much this year...just don't need much.

I know what you mean. We had our almost 10 year old dd to ourselves at dinner last night so I asked her what was the main thing she wanted for Christmas. She stressed out about it for an hour looking at the Toys R Us Catalog, checking her Amazon list all to tell me she was so worried she didn't have anything she was really hoping for. Then I told her she didn't have to ask for anything big, she may just want more small stuff and not a "big" thing. She finally calmed down. So that should make things easy!

Used a 20% off coupon at Bath & Body Works today and purchased 9 soaps at $3 each and used another coupon for a free body wash so I have some filler and hostess gifts for the holiday season. Spent less than $25 including tax.

I did a little shopping today. I used two coupons at Bath and Body Works and got 6 soaps, 1 full size body wash and 6 hand sanitizers for $20!

PSA: Huge sale at the Disney Store on select costumes. I saw Mulan, Merida, Alice (cartoon), Alice (movie), Mad Hatter, Buzz Lightyear. Highest price was $21.95 and they were an additional 25% off. Accessories for those costumes were also 25% off. If your littles like to dress up these would make awesome Christmas presents!

I got my DD7 and Alice dress with the headband and shoes for $30! Pretty good deal! Bonus is she wants an Alice themed birthday party next year. Double SCORE :)
