Did someone say unlimited food and wine?!-Sept Dining Report Update 12/24

Hey Lori! Great start. That CL lounge looks awesome! Can't wait to read about your week of delicious dining :)

We always take nap photos when we are at Disney, we always seemed to have one sleeping at meal time! Sometimes it is nice to have a quiet meal, it looked great! Love your shirt by the way :goodvibes

We haven't had dinner at GG since 2007 but it looks so good, I keep trying to talk the rest of the family into doing it again. I think I need to show them pictures!
I remember the days when one of my kids would fall asleep in a restaurant :cloud9: It was like a lovely surprise lol

That airplane food looks delicious! (Don't think I've ever uttered those words before :teeth:)

but we were happy we actually were able to sit down and enjoy a nice quiet meal.
My son is 9 and we still feel this way whenever my husband and I can get away for a meal on our own. It's like a little mini-vacation

The offerings at Garden Grill look great!

The CL lounge was so nice and relaxing.

I was so wishing little man was awake for the characters, but growing boys must get their rest!

Update Time!!

For dinner that evening we grabbed a few items from the evening offerings in the lounge. I was so happy they had Schofferhofer grapefruit beer in the lounge! It is so refreshing and with 8 bucks a pop at Epcot this saved me some money lol. I did not take photos that evening of the offerings, but I can tell you Alexander loved the little table with the tv. He really enjoyed eating in the lounge a lot this past trip. We walked over to the ETB concert for Air Supply and while waiting I used a snack credit for the lobster roll at the Hops and Barley Booth. It was much better than last years but still not as good as it was in 2013. After the concert we went back to the lounge for dessert hour. Little man really enjoyed that before bed. I can tell you the desserts were the same every night, no change. Plenty to chose from but night after night you get burnt out.

Next day we had our DHS day, which I like to call Star Wars Day!! We made a same day ADR for PT 50s, the place was not busy at all. For my drink I had the key lime shake, it was soooo good!! DH had the strawberry shake. Instead of dessert I had the quinoa salad as sub for the DP. This was excellent and full of good protein. For my entree I had the sampler, everything was fantastic as always. DH had his beloved chicken, instead of greens they gave him corn on the cob. For dessert DH had the cheese cake and it was quiet good. We had a super nice server and really enjoyed our meal. This place will continue to be a family fav for years to come.

We cannot go to 50's Primetime because my youngest DS10 absolutely hates it. And that's because twice he's been told to get his elbows off the table and he was NOT happy :snooty: He holds a grudge, so if he goes with his family 20 years from now I know he'll refuse to eat there no matter how bad his wife wants to :rotfl2:
Air Supply, whoo-hoo! That probably makes me sound old.......and Alex does look like he's enjoying the lounge and also his plate of desserts :goodvibes

Hahaha, that is so funny!! Air Supply I remember from being a child of the 80s, I didn't know any of the songs they sang but they sure did sound good.
Yay! I'm in! Loved 50's PT!!

Glad to have you here!!

Your son is simply adorable! What a cutie watching the lounge TV.

That little table and the lounge was the real highlight of our trip for him. We spend more time in the lounge than any other trip before when we have stayed CL.

Schofferhoffer in the club!!!! Think I may need to change my next reservation :-)

I recently stayed CL and didn't get a welcome cocktail. Granted it was 9am but if they thought I wouldn't have drank it, they'd be wrong. LOL. I need a redo!!!

GG looks delicious. I may need to work that into future plans. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip!

Awe too bad you missed it, it is so good. They owe you a whole bottle as far as I am concerned :rotfl2:

Update!

That evening we sampled some of the offerings in the Regatta Club Lounge and had a few adult drinks. Later on that evening we had a QS dinner at Katsura Grill at Japan WS. I had the spicy tuna roll, which hit the spot, instead of dessert I had the miso soup. My DH also had the miso soup in lieu of dessert and enjoyed the beef noodle bowl. They were so sweet they gave us cookies to go on the house. While eating dinner we were able to watch Illuminations. Alexander hates fireworks and cringed the whole time. However they are quite amazing.
