I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

Mad Hatters can get sick? He was the one I was looking forward to the most! I guess thats just reasons to come back.

Um...ok I guess I don't understand how the people who work as characters operate at Disney..but um perhaps a dumb question but...if the Mad Hatter is sick...can't they just dress someone else up? Don't they have understudies?

Congrats on completing the race and your College scholarship!!
Love the plethora of EP character photos too.
It looks like a sensational trip all around. I'm jealous of your Dopey registration, but will live vicariously through that TR...

Thanks!

It really was a great trip. Dopey will be quite the experience I can't wait!

I would've thought the same thing but I guess That's not case?

Breaking News!

Well today was registration day for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend...

I knew I would I be back but I just didn't know what exactly I wanted to do. After lots of debating and discussion I am

Officially going Dopey in 2017!

That's right folks 48.6 miles in four days!

That's not all. My youngest sister Sydnee will be running the Mickey Mile again. My Mom is doing the 5K and so are about 7 of our good friends!

I hope to get an update about our dinner at Chefs De France up tonight or tomorrow. As soon as I finish this TR I will be starting a PTR!

:worship:

Another big decision that has been looming for me. Where I am going to college. It was officially decided that this fall I will attend Marquette University here in Milwaukee. With that I will study Civil Engineering. Marquette wasn't my first choice but they also weren't my last choice. I also received about $24,000 in scholarship money which helped make that decision. Now on with the show!

Congratulations on making the big decision to become a Golden Eagle and for the scholarships you earned!

Speaking as the parent of a prospective college freshman, I am thrilled to know my son will be at a school that is close to home. I'm sure your family feels the same way.

::yes::

Thanks! I know I didn't want to go too far the farthest place I applied was Iowa which would be a 4-5 hour drive I think.

Your dad's birthday card is fantastic!

I love your sneakers. And they kind of match Donald's footwear!

Everyone's meals at Chef's looked good. I have never dined there.

:goodvibes
Those are my RunDisney Goofy New Balance shoes!

Chefs de France was good I'd recommend you try it at least once.

The rain never bothered me anyway

IInstead we sat in our room for a little bit with my parents and decided our next plan of attack. Ice cream! At none other than Beaches and Cream! The restaurant was still very full at 8:3ish. I am a big fan of this place and actually haven't been there since we did the Kitchen sink in 2012.

You know my deep, dark, not-so-secret, right?

I have never had a sit-down ice cream or meal at Beaches & Cream. I did have breakfast there when they were testing the restaurant as a quick serve spot in 2009. I have had a couple of reservations there in the past, but ended up cancelling them for various reasons.

*ducks* as a whole can of whipped cream is thrown at me.

I do have a reservation there on arrival night for my anniversary trip in October, but my husband is not wild about the thought of going there. We will see if we end up keeping it.

:lmao:

I don't know if a remember the secret.

We sat down in 2012 for the Kitchen sink but otherwise that was it. That place is a favorite of mine. I'd love to try a meal there soon.

Hmmm... Bad day for 1900 PF. Mad Hatter was missing from breakfast that morning, and another trip report writer, afwdwfan went that evening and Suzy and Perla replaced the Step Sisters

:sad2:

Yeah I guess. I didn't know the step sisters weren't there that night either. That's really strange.

I got behind again on your report, darnit! All caught up again now though. Congrats on your college entrance. Sounds like a great school. I love all your character shots and the ones with your little sister getting big hugs from the characters are so sweet.

Sorry to hear we are on your last park day, but ending things up at MK is always a great way to go.

Glad you caught up! We really did get a lot of great character shots.

The last park day is always sad but MK is really the best way to go out.

A Country Bear, Jingle Cruise, Mansion, pirates, speedway and more kind of day!

Hey everyone! I hope all of the mothers out there had a great Mothers Day. I know my mom did. Today was also my 18th birthday. We spent the majority of the day by my grandmas where all of my family came over to celebrate mothers day and my birthday. I seem to forget to post my fitbit stats from the previous day. This is my highest day for steps that I have ever had.

Here is that missing Pooh photo from the previous update as well.

Continuing from the previous update we were spending the last park day at the Magic Kingdom! Since the hub was completely finished this time I had to get some photos.

We headed over to Haunted Mansion for a ride with out favorite host, the ghost host. 999 happy haunts and there is always room for 1 more!

Sorry no photos inside the ride. I like to enjoy that ride as much as I can. Passing along through Liberty Square we had to see Country Bear Jamboree, it is one of my favorite shows. Big Al is my grandpas favorite character so its a must do for my family.

Who doesn't love singing bears?

Trixie!

There is blood on the saddle! For some reason my Big Al photos didn't turn out that great.

After we sung with some bears we headed my favorite ride in all of WDW!

To be continued...

Happy 18th birthday!!!! You're all legal now. :)

Haunted Mansion is one of my favorites as well. This is where I confess that I've never gone to see the Country Bear Jamboree. I guess I need to fix that on our next trip.

Thanks!

I think you should see Country Bear Jamboree at least once. It's a good show and has some comedy. It's one of the WDW opening day things that's still there.

Happy, Happy Birthday! :bday:

We saw Country Bear Jamboree for the first time, 2 months ago, and just fell in love with the show. Big Al is the BEST.... very funny guy. Also, we were able to purchase a commemorative CBJ jug at Pecos Bill (I think?) full of Diet Coke! Now it's a chachkie in our kitchen, but I love it! Always good to have some Disney Parks memorabilia present within our home décor.
