I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

Wow, lot's of great things! Congrats on the college decision and on being signed up for Dopey :) I look forward to hearing about your training and the race itself. I'm thinking about doing the marathon at some point.
Thanks! I will definitely be sharing my journey. I hope you do the marathon some day.

Congrats again on Dopey - that will definitely be an exciting trip! And congrats on making the college decision. That's always a tough decision to make, and hopefully it will be an awesome 4 years for you!

I love your Character Palooza pictures! We saw the tail end of it on one day of our trip, but we only met one character ... you guys had better luck than us.

The food at Chefs de France looks delicious. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Rain ... there was way too much rain that weekend. I wasn't really a fan of that. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys decided to do!

Thanks! I hope it is an exciting 4 years and I hope I get an opportunity to do the college program.

Yeah we got lucky being in the right place at the right time.

It was delicious!

Rain was a bit annoying but we made the best of it. What we ended up doing will come this weekend hopefully.

Congrats on getting registered for Dopey - it is sure challenging but a lot of fun! :) And congratulations also on getting scholarships and acceptance to Marquette - it's an excellent school for engineering (as is MSOE, which I'm sure you knew), how exciting!!

Thanks for the update on the Three Caballeros (they are a favorite of mine!), I had no idea the animatronics had been switched up in the ride! The last time I rode it, though, there was a bachelorette party (mid-afternoon) that had obviously been indulging at La Cava del Tequila, so it was less than enjoyable for those of us who hadn't imbibed. Donald meet and greet is awesome, one of my favorite things about him is when he gets so indignant! It's hilarious. And did you get to see Remy at Chefs de France when you were there? We haven't been in several years, but about midway through the meal, the hostess brought out a cart with a covered plate and there was a little animatronic Remy there! It was so cute.

Thanks! Yes I know MSOE is good too my uncle went there.

Yes I love the new AAs.

Rent doesn't appear at Chefs de France anymore I believe they stopped that a year or two ago.

Congrats on your college acceptance!! It is good to have a scholarship so you can spend more of your own money on future Disney trips lol :thumbsup2

Thanks for joining in! runDisney is great for meeting different characters.

Thanks! Yes I imagine I will be spending money in the future on Disney trips.

Congrats on getting one of your choice colleges and the scholarship. Not mortgaging your future for an education is IMHO as important as GETTING an education!

Also - good for you on the Dopey challenge....I guess. Ugh.

We haven't eaten at Chefs De France since Remy left. However, I've enjoyed it anytime I've eaten there, except that they cram the tables together way too close.

Thanks! Yeah the college I will be attending is private so it's expensive so getting that mount of money was great.

I know you don't get the running thing but it's an addiction for most of us.

I never ate at Chefs with remy so I can't say I'm missing much. I do agree that they seem to cram the tables close in there.

The rain never bothered me anyway

I left off with a bit of a cliff hanger, that being what we did after dinner due to the rain. The rain didn't seem to be stopping so we scrapped the plan to head to DHS for Star Wars fireworks. Instead we sat in our room for a little bit with my parents and decided our next plan of attack. Ice cream! At none other than Beaches and Cream! The restaurant was still very full at 8:3ish. I am a big fan of this place and actually haven't been there since we did the Kitchen sink in 2012. By the time we got to the restaurant the rain was letting up.

My mom and sisters got the Mickey Pants kitchen sink which is about a third of the size of the real kitchen sink.

I got something that I really have been wanting to try. The No Way Jose!

My dad also got what I got and my grandma and Judy just got small scoops of ice cream I believe. We sat outside and ate away. After that we headed back to our room and then my parents departed.

Well this update is quite short sorry about that. Anyways onto the next day!

Up Next: Disney Characters get sick?

Did you get these to go? I know ADRs are hard for B&C. I also thought they had a limited to go menu. I want to try it sometime though.

Ice cream is never a bad plan ... it's definitely a great way to end a rainy day.
Did you enjoy the No Way Jose? I think that's probably one of those things it's hard not to love!

Disney Characters get sick?

Happy Marathon day! I of course was not running today but I will be running on that Sunday next year. We had a breakfast to get to at 1900 Park Fare! This would be our first time there. Our ADR time was for 8:00AM, and our biggest problem would be getting there. We left just before 7 Am and took the MK bus from BC and got dropped off at the TTC where you could still see runners entering the MK. We then took the monorail from the TTC to GF and you could see the runners leaving MK outside the resorts. We actually arrived a bit early for our ADR so we sat in the lobby and waited until the doors opened. My parents met us there even though they weren't part of our ADR we were going to try and get them in.

My parents were departing today and didn't have a park ticket. We did meaning it would be our last park day :(

The doors finally opened at like 7:59AM lol. We checked in and they added my parents to our ADR no problem. Within a few minutes we were seated and ready to eat! The Characters started coming out about 5 minutes after we were seated thats when we got the news... The Mad Hatter was sick! What?!?! Mad Hatters can get sick? He was the one I was looking forward to the most! I guess thats just reasons to come back.

My first plate...

Mary Poppins was first.

Alice was next

And then Tigger

We finished our meals and headed out after that. I thought it was a very goo meal and I would definitely do it again to see the Mad Hatter. We headed to the monorail station and thats where we would depart with my parents as they had to go and check out. We wouldn't see them until we get home the following night.

We would then spend the rest of our day at the fabulous Magic Kingdom with a lot to do!

Due to technical difficulties with my computer I am going to stop there for this update.

Up next: A Country Bear, Jingle Cruise, Mansion, pirates, speedway and more kind of day!

We got them at the to go window. Its definitely worth a try!

Yes I enjoyed it very much and I will definitely get it again!

We saw the Mad Hatter when we did 1900 Park Fare a few trips ago. He was pretty great, but a little bit much for that early in the morning. Definitely a reason to go back, though, especially if you enjoyed the meal! Did you guys not see Pooh? He was there when we went, but I don't know if they've taken him away from the meal since then.

Magic Kingdom is definitely the best place to spend your last day!

I love the mini kitchen sinks! I need to remember to get one next time at the boardwalk area.

Bummer about the mad hatter, he is one of the best to meet. Seems like you enjoyed your breakfast and time at 1900 park fare so that is good!

Yes we will definitely be back! I thought we saw pooh but I don't have a photo for some reason my computer was being very slow last night so I'll have to look for it.

MK is the best place for a last day.

Yes the Mickey kitchen sink is great!

We did enjoy it and we will go back to try and see the mad hatter.

MK is great for the last day!

Yum, that No Way Jose looks delicious! I've been to 1900 Park Fare once and it was for breakfast too. The character interaction there was great but I thought the food was only ok.

It was great! Character interaction was very good as well.

Congrats on completing the race and your College scholarship!!
Love the plethora of EP character photos too.
It looks like a sensational trip all around. I'm jealous of your Dopey registration, but will live vicariously through that TR...
