Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We just got back from a split stay at the Yacht Club and Polynesian. We loved our stay at the Yacht Club. We booked a water view room and got room #3157 on the 3rd floor. Awesome location near the lobby and dock with a complete Boardwalk view off the balcony stretching from the water slide on the far left to the Swan on the far right. We also had a great view of Illumination and the higher bursts from the Studios. The room was immaculate and showed no signs of any wear. I'd have zero concerns recommending the Yacht Club to anyone looking for a great resort for touring Epcot and the Studios.

Yes, the extra room would be nice. We have two girls, 17 and 12.... But I know cl for the whole week would also be nice.

For me, with kids of those ages, Id go club all the way :)
The extra place to hang out and the extra snacks would be such a welcome addition and they are old enough Imo to head up to the lounge by themselves when you all need a little space :)

Well my beach club friends, I am jumping ship for my birthday trip. Availability with the "magical"deal was better at the BW side for my dates. While I am super excited to be trying out a new resort, I'll be a little sad too not to be on the BC/YC side of the lake this trip. However, I'm sure there'll be another stay in my not too distant future. Thanks for all your fabulous help and advice planning our last two trips!

Are the "Magical"deals offered year round? Thank you!

How long will it take us to walk to a pre park reservation at Garden Grill for 8:05?
I would give yourself at least ten minutes to get through the International Gateway and at least another ten minutes to get to Garden Grill. So a half hour should be plenty of time. :)

Does anyone know if you can get scrambled eggs with a snack credit at the BC marketplace? (NOT the platter, just as a side)
I know that you can get scrambled eggs as a side, I do it all the time. I don't know if it is snack credit when bought that way, though. But I think it is less than $3. You can also get bacon as a side. :)

So excited! We will be staying at the BC in a one-bedroom club level suite in December with FD. It will be me, DH DMom and DSons (twins who will be 2.5 years old at the time). This is their first trip to WDW and something I have always dreamed of. We have never experienced club level or the BC, so I'm thrilled.

We originally had two garden wing rooms at the CR reserved for May 2017, just before the boys turn 3, but free dining and club level during the holidays made us switch. The room will be tighter, but I think club level and FD will be worth it.

Yes but only on certain dates. We got a Beach Club standard view room for around 300.00 a night, I cant remember for sure it might of been 301.00 a night for this June. The labor day deal is the best deal they have all year. Last year we booked the Grand Floridian for 291.00 a night.

There are select dates available. I would check and see if your dates happen to fall into their range or if you are flexible in when you can go. Good luck with it, I ended up saving 50% off rack rate for my dates in August so was pretty happy. :)

@TeacherDL

I second (third..) this. In 2014 we did a 2 BR villa (at OKW), and last year we did CL at BC.
As a parent, not having to cook breakfast...priceless
The snack room (AKA club lounge) gives you more space to chill than the villa
Red velvet cupcakes and wine (for me) YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I missed the washer/dryer and DH and I having a King bed, however most of our time was in the lounge, pool, or parks honestly.

I need to "like" this many times! Except I do not miss a washer/dryer on vacation. :) We were falling away from CL for a while because our teens like to eat pretty much all the time and not wait until we get back to the lounge. And our oldest likes to try new foods out in the parks. But our youngest son is still in love with the snack room and I'm running lots of races, so we'll probably book CL. (Last trip, we stayed at WL and then Poly Villas, and he was concerned he wouldn't make any friends because we didn't have the snack room.) :) Of course, he made friends anyway because that's kind of what he does anyplace and anywhere.

We are so excited to be planning another trip this summer. We booked June 9-13 at YC, but there was no other availability, so we are heading to the Poly after that. Can't wait, and excited to see YC after a great stay at BC last summer.

My question is about the refillable mugs. I did search the thread and want to see if this is correct. We can walk to the BC refill station or to Hurricane Hannah's when it's open. Does that mean you ask the bartenders for a refill? Is there a self serve spot there? As for the Ale and Compass, is it just coffee?

Thanks for any more info!

There are self-serve stations at Hurricane Hannas and the BC Marketplace. I can't vouch for the offerings at Ale and Compass but know that is not self service.

I am headed down to Disney for 7 nights with my oldest son. Three of the nights will be at the Beach Club for a conference. As I do more and more research on the Beach Club, the overwhelming consensus when things are busier is that sometimes the buses fill up at Yacht Club and don't even back it to Beach Club. So, my question is, how far of a walk is it from one bus stop to the other?

I haven't done the dining plan in about 7 years but it MAY be worth it if I can do that. Oh well, it seems to be one of life's great mysteries. I suppose I could always call and find out that way.

They'll fill it for you there (not self serve), but it's valid. They'll fill it for you at the Beaches & Cream on the takeout side as well. I don't know what the policy is for Crew Cup Lounge or Martha's Vineyard, but if it were late at night and everything else was closed and I paid for a mug, I wouldn't hesitate to ask for a refill there, too.

I tried for Beach Club, but it was booked so we are now doing Yacht Club - Club Level. Anyone care to share their thoughts on Yacht Club's Club Level?
We stayed there 4 times at Club Level. We loved it. The food was decent, especially for breakfast. The alcohol was nice, wine and beer, and cordials at night. My only complaint would be that they don't check who belongs at Club level. It was obvious that other non-club vacationers would hang out and wait for someone near the elevator and hitch a ride . The room was so full of diners in the am , that sometimes we took our food to our room because of the lack of tables.
