Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Shipping to the Yacht or Beach Club resorts/Convention Pick Up Fees:

Can you have bottled water from Amazon delivered to Yacht Club without having to pay a fee because they have a convention center? I vaguely remember hearing that's a problem at resorts with convention centers, but would appreciate clarification!

No A package shipped and delivered from Amazon will go to the Convention Center receiving area. You will have to pick it up there and there is a fee.

If you used a grocery delivery service such as Garden Grocer, it would be delivered to Bell Services. There is no fee and they deliver to your room

What is the "fee" if it gets delivered to the convention center from amazon????

Here is the list of fees. I'm thinking about using a grocery delivery service for my trip in July. (Mostly for yogurt.)

Thanks for posting that link!

:thumbsup2

I have now updated the Convention/Business Center info in Post 14, Other Useful Info and I added information about the Business Center to the Amenities Post 4.

Does anyone have a picture of the Business Center, of the outside and/or inside?

Can I ship a package to Beach Club or Yacht Club for my stay?

If you ship a package to the resort, Mail by United States Postal Service*, not anything else!!! If you mail other than USPS, your items will be shipped to the business/convention center and the shipping department will charge the recipient a handling charge, based on the weight of your package. Also note that the pickup hours at the business center are limited, especially at night and on weekends.

The pickup fees apply to deliveries from Amazon and Amazon Pantry and Staples if the packages go to the business center.

2016 Parcel Handling Fees

Handling fee includes receipt of item from carrier, storage for up to 3 days, onetime Guest package delivery or pickup, placing item with carrier for shipment, and tracking. Postage is not included.

  • Envelope: $3.00
  • Small Box: $3.00 (up to 4 lbs)
  • Med Box: $5.00 (5 lbs – 20 lbs)
  • Large Box: $10.00 (21 lbs – 70 lbs)
  • Golf Club: $10.00
  • Display Cases: $15.00
  • Pallets: $70.00 per 100 lbs
Prices are subject to change.

Hours:

For same-day shipping, outbound parcels must be received in the package room by 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Items received after 4:30 PM on Friday will be shipped on Monday unless special handling has been requested. Saturday shipping services are available until 11:30 AM with advance notice. Special rates apply.

It sounds like the shipping center is generally closed on weekends, unless you make prior arrangements.

we didnt end up taking pictures of the new room because by the time we finally got in it we were exhausted. We landed at MCO at 10:00am and arrived at BCV by 11:00, ate lunch by the pool which was meh we were starved so it fit the bill. The room was ready very close to 4;00 which I knew could happen. Clean new room with the much needed murphy bed for our younger son! construction going on on the wing that jets out towards the canal and parking lot. No clock in the room which yes was weird! but everything else in the room was working and clean. We don't love the food options at the Marketplace which makes it difficult if you dont have AP's or passes for all days in the parks to hop into epcot for a quick lunch, and we certainly dont wat sit down meals for Breakfast lunch and supper. We rented points very very affordably to stay here but would not pay full price rack rate or 14.00 a point like many do. YES its super to walk to 2 parks, and Yes it was nice, but we probably wont stay there again next year. We travel to Disney each spring and have since 1997! we like to try different resorts to make the trips feel different and we did LOVE our trip this year, but wont be making BCV our home. The bus system this year was amazing and we never waited long at all, Sometimes at a park we would hop whichever bus came first BC/YC, or BW, or eve Swan/D! then walk over to our room. but leaving in the am we always took it from BC and it was PERFECT! Sundaes from beaches and cream were good but we are more excited to try out the new ice cream place over at the BW. Hope they offer more flavors! Cape may dinner was delish as always and we used the 10% Visa discount. but we always eat there regardless of where we stay. Any other questions I am happy to answer !

Thanks for the review! Hoping to get a "new" room when we go in June!!

Hi all-- arrived today at noon. Almost had to cancel our trip as I've been sick and have a double ear infection but we made it. It's so lovely here! We had a standard view booked but saw as we drove up that the app said we'd been upgraded to garden view. Arrived and the concierge was super friendly and saw that my only request was a full balcony. Without asking she moved us to another room. We are facing the water and a quiet courtyard-- towards the Epcot end of the resort. Very pleased. It's my 40th birthday so a little magic, I suppose.
We've only stayed at the GF and CR before and this is just so amazing! We love how peaceful it is. Wish it weren't such a short trip for us (3 nights).

Thank you! So glad to hear that the murphy bed is in the new BCV studios. That will make my daughters much happier.

I got a WDW Yacht Club email survey today. Do they really read them? Do they ever respond personally to them?
Thanks much for thoughts or experiences with this.
I've answered a very detailed survey about the YC that had questions like "would you like to be able to see your resort invoice from the television in your room", and other interesting ideas. I also filled out a detailed review of how wonderful three specific YC cast members were, but I never heard anything back from either the survey or the email review of the cast members.

Interesting! Today must be survey day at WDW. I got a survey too, as the 'planner of an upcoming trip to WDW'. It was all about how much I used MDE, whether it was the website or the app, and how well it worked (as well as what problems I had encountered).

Dee, with the Brazil Olympics right around the corner I need to know rather urgently what size speedo Mr. NateBenMa takes. While you are at it, throw in his "mankini"* size as we are not exactly sure which direction we will go in for the Men's swimsuit uniform for the Stormalong Bay Synchronized Pool Tube team. Thankfully the flower petal bathing caps are one size fits all, so aside from heat stroke and brain damage from wearing them they should work out fine.

I believe "One Size Fits None" will work for him.

Don't forget, Mr. Mommyrosa2 will also be joining our merry band, so you should pick up the same size for him, too.

I wanted to get your expert opinions....We currently have reservations for October 2-5 in a standard room at BC, then we move to a one bedroom villa for the 5th-8th.
As I was trying to look at the new discounts, I noticed that we could change the whole reservation to October 1-7 and stay in a standard Club Level room for about the same amount of money. Is that worth the change or would you just keep what we have? We have only stayed at standard rooms at BC and never stayed club level or the villas. Opinions?

coffee pot was a small drip style 4 cup maker. what we did was bought gallons of water to make coffee with and used Starbucks Via packet in cup pour hot water over and Voila decent coffee done easily.

I think Club Level is such a personal preference as compared to the one bedroom. The one bedroom will give you more space obviously. I really do think it comes down to what is important to your family. You may appreciate the kitchen, living area and separate bedroom. The BCV renovations look marvelous. Is room space something you will appreciate?

We really like the convenience of the lounge for breakfast and extra space to relax especially when we take our family (we have 2 sons - ages 20 and 24). We also like the location of the 5th floor Club Level knowing we will be up the elevator, greeted by the CM's, that are there to help if needed, and our room will be somewhere on the 5th floor... Oh and the coffee maker, the lounge coffee maker..can't wait for August.

Would love to be added to the BOG list for Nov 2016 :-) We're celebrating our dd's 21st b-day. Going to Universal, staying at Hard Rock Nov 6-10 then we are SO excited to be coming Nov 10-15 BC CL GV. Will be our first CL stay!

How fun that we get the last of Food & Wind AND the beginning of MVMCP!!

So may need to amend this. Probably. Yeah. So we purchased DVC - currently our reservation is moved to BVW for same dates Nov 10-15. Waitlisted for BCV, but not terribly hopeful as it's the end of FW...but we shall see. Either way...not only are we doing THIS trip...there are many more to come!

Yes, the extra room would be nice. We have two girls, 17 and 12.... But I know cl for the whole week would also be nice.

DW dispatches me to the marketplace with the refillable mugs. It's apparently my job. Life could be a lot worse though! :D

Correct, the murphy bed is part of the refurb. You get that, bigger TV, and USB ports in exchange for all the little Disney touches, theming, charm, and uniqueness being sucked out. Such is WDW these days.
