Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Right, I thought you were staying at the BC. I was referring to the end of the Beach Club that is closest to the Yacht Club. :)

Oh! I think that's the end we want to be on, right? Isn't that close to the lobby? (Having never been, I'm just guessing from maps!)

I would totally book my FP for Test Track and then switch when the one you want becomes active. You will definitely be able to change your FP selection at a later date.

The fly in the ointment is that you will have to monitor the Dis Boards and know as soon as day one of when the booking window finally opens for Frozen/Soarin.

The possibility also exists that when Frozen/Soarin opens you may only be able to choose 1 from Soaring OR Frozen OR Frozen meet and greet OR Test Track. The "only one FP choice" from the above mentioned categories is SPECULATION on my part. The reason for this may be to have guests return to Epcot more frequently to boost sagging attendance. When Food and Whine starts up this (potential) throttling will most likely end.

Thank you, that is what I was thinking. I appreciate the confirmation!

I'm not able to be on DIS 24 hours a day, so I'm hoping that I get lucky enough to be able to jump on and switch around my FP when Frozen and Soarin' become available.

We plan to go to Epcot for 2 days, so as you say, with the Tier 1 restrictions, we plan for Soarin' one day and Frozen on another.

This is the strategy I'm using. FYI, Mission: Space is moved back to Tier 2 already for dates after late May, so you should be fine there. LwtL is still on Tier 1 for now though.

Thank you! I didn't realize that Mission: Space had been switched back to Tier 2. That makes things a bit easier!

Where have you seen dates for the scheduled opening of Soarin' & Frozen M & G ?
So far I have only seen rumored dates, but I am keep an eager eye for my Fall trip.
To answer the question, the best you can do now is deal with what is actually in the system now, & keep your eyes on it.

It is my understanding (although, as you say, it is rumor) that Frozen will open May 27/28 (in keeping with the movie of Anna & Elsa from the MK M&G) and Soarin' will open its new movie on June 17 (to allow Shanghai Disney to show it first). But nothing is officially confirmed, of course. Sigh...

Hey! Just wondering if there are any pics of the new YC rooms after the refurb. Thinking about booking in November to celebrate my 40th birthday and 10 year anniversary. I was lucky enough to spend my sweet 16 there- and would love to come full circle! :)

The YC rooms haven't been refurbished yet and we haven't heard any start dates. Only the club lounge has been refurbished.

Thanks. He will only need 1 cup each night, so I'll probably just pack a liter in our luggage.

:sunny:
We did a Garden Grocer order when we stayed at Beach Club last year, but Coronado Springs did have distilled water in their gift shop when we stayed there a couple of weeks ago. Port Orleans always has it as well.

That's just my opinion. For those of you in need of more humorous content, please enjoy this gratuitous picture of an owl having her parade rained on.

Now my head hurts! Any my internet is so slow I cannot see the owl so maybe it flew into a window that wasn't open yet!

Can you have bottled water from Amazon delivered to Yacht Club without having to pay a fee because they have a convention center? I vaguely remember hearing that's a problem at resorts with convention centers, but would appreciate clarification!

No A package shipped and delivered from Amazon will go to the Convention Center receiving area. You will have to pick it up there and there is a fee.
If you used a grocery delivery service such as Garden Grocer, it would be delivered to Bell Services. There is no fee and they deliver to your room

This may have been answered somewhere that I missed, so hope I'm not repeating

We have a BCV studio rented for January. It's my DH and our two tween daughters. In the remodel of the BCV studios, will there be a murphy bed added like I think I saw is available at Boardwalk? My girls hate to share a bed, so it would be nice if that was an option. I seem to remember hearing or seeing about that being available in the remodel but now can't seem to find it.

My understanding is the BCV studios will have a murphy bed and couch roll out - mine hate to share too but our room was not remodeled in March (105 - directly across from the door into the main building and Marketplace). MOM (Mean-Ole-Mom) told them to suck it up and play nice for the nights we were there and enjoy that we were at WDW!!

What is the "fee" if it gets delivered to the convention center from amazon????

Hi all! So I saw a few pages back about being able to make room requests via the Touring Plans website. Has anyone used it and had success?
I used it in November and got the room I had requested. I wasn't staying at BC though, but POR. I will be using it again for this years BC trip. Doesn't hurt.
