Is anyone else going at the end of April worried about the monorail?

Is anyone else going at the end of April worried about the monorail?

I'm not up to speed on what the monorail maintenance schedules or notices have been for April, but I just wanted to say that I just got back from 5 days at GF and had fantastic monorail service every day. Hours were great, trains were prompt. First time in several years I never once heard the "we are waiting for further traffic clearance" announcement.

First VGF stay in 6 short weeks! YAY! I cant wait!! This is the Disney dream for me! Ive always wanted to stay and FINALLY I will be able to! I'm just wondering where we check in for the villas? We are getting in super late and I want to make our first night as easy as possible! Also If our flight is arriving at 1130pm what time will our bags arrive to our villa? I'm really hoping they dont stop by at like 4 am! That would be awful! Can I have them hold it ? We usually arrive in the morning so I am unfamiliar with coming in late at night! TIA!!!

Since you are getting in late, I am pretty sure you will check in at the Main GF Lobby.

Magical Express stops picking up luggage at 10:00PM. You will need to go get your own luggage and bring it to the Magical Express Bus. Bell Services at the GF will help you bring your luggage to your room right then and there. No waiting.

Only 58 days until we get off of the Disney Dream and head over to the Grand!!! We are very excited for our 1st GF stay!!! Our first night there, we are planning on dinner at Narcoosee's and then pool time at night. Can you see any fireworks from the pool at all?

I'm not sure that you see more than the very high fireworks from the Courtyard pool. I have the feeling much of the display is blocked by trees and buildings. I may be completely wrong here as it's been a long time since we swam that late in the Courtyard. You do get a good view from Narcoossee's, especially from their verandah. The marina and boat dock have pretty decent views of fireworks, too.

YAY!!! Narcoosee's is an excellent viewing spot for Wishes (is that an option)? You can't see the fireworks from the pool BUT if you hop out of the pool briefly (specifically the courtyard pool) it's a quick walk to either the marina by Gaspys or the boat dock to see that glorious castle

So I may have booked 3 nights RPC for the end of July Let's see if they can hold a candle to our December SL stay We are doing a split with BWI CL, my DH isn't thrilled but he'll get over it WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the Grand for this Grand Groupie

Our reservations are for 5:40 pm, so we won't be there for Wishes.

I think we will definitely go over to the marina or boat dock to check out the fireworks though!

Yayyy! I just saw your post on the CL thread! My DH isn't thrilled about our upcoming RPC stay (he's a Poly CL lover), so the RPC food needs to be really good . My girls and I, on the other hand, are very excited to try RPC!

I was just there the beginning of February and experienced no monorail problems. If I remember correctly we did have to take the boat from MK back to the GF during the day on Thursday but other than that there was no issue -- and we prefer taking the boat back anyhow--kind of like our last ride of that day.

Oh, probably the same thing as when we stayed at CR last year. It was only a problem once that whole week. I'm not too worried. There are always other options available.
