Can you use a gift card to purchase Disney gift cards at Sam's or Walmart?

Yes, but just recently, Walmart has stopped allowing you to buy a WM gift card with another WM gift card.

Is Raise.com money laundering? I see on there pretty consistently people selling multiple $2000 gift cards. The most you can even buy online is a $1000 target gift card. How are people selling gift cards higher than $1000?

I opened a Disney GC account and plan to keep transferring the balance from the new GC I get until the Disney GC gets to 1000.00. Is it ok to pitch the GC once the balance shows up on my primary GC, or do you advise hanging on to and making records of the incoming, before transferring? TIA

Don't fret about missing the Target gift card deal -- it was regional and probably did not include your area. You can always get the 5% discount for putting Disney gift cards on your Target credit card. I opened one specifically for that.

Going the Raise route was a fantastic bargain.....sad to hear that is over for this one retailer.

I don't think it is completely over but the discount for Lowes won't be as good. You will only be able to use store credits in the store so this will eliminate cash back sites and the online coupons that are so readily available for Lowes. Bummer for sure!

I just recently found out, that the gift cards can also be used for the parking fees at all 4 parks =) This is awesome if you are not staying onsite!!

Could be a day, could be a week, could be more. There's no schedule and its never the same amount of time.

I have done that at Sam's routinely online. You can use either Sam's or WalMart gc on the Sam's site. Though I remember reading earlier in this thread that WalMart may be moving to stop this. Have heard any updates on that though.

Thank you! I always have credit/gift cards here and usually just give them to my husband to spend. Not anymore... Disney bucks! My GCs are Walmart, so I will update if there's an issue.

Over 24 hours and still no EBates credit on my target order of giftcards with random item thrown in. Moving to try MyPoints next time.

It can't be any random item. Toiletries and grocery items won't work.

Today I made a purchase from target.com. Used my Redcard as my payment option. NO GC were in my cart. At check out.... no 5% discount. Before I finalized, I entered a "chat" with customer service rep. Rep was able to view my cart and couldn't figure out why the discount had not been given. Said it happens some times. A "technical issue" (his words). So I'm wondering if some of the reports of "target.com no longer gives 5% off of gift card purchases" have nothing to do with buying GC, but rather are attributable to this "technical issue" that apparently pops up randomly.
The chat rep said he was going to adjust my order to include the 5% but so far everything that's been emailed to me do not show this adjustment. Fortunately my item was under $10 so I'm not fretting over it but just wanted to give a heads up that this happens.

Yes, totally addicting and very confusing You should have seen me trying to explain all this to my neighbor friend last weekend. They go to Disney every other year, just buy tickets at the gate, never use FP, always go at high crowd times....I'm sure she thinks I am a nut lol...!

I get this. I explained my savings method to a coworker. She was really interested, but I realized that when I explain this it sounds pretty insane.

Joining this club. I have a "helper" personality, so I think I need to (politely) inform people when something would be beneficial to them. I've caught myself a few times explaining this and see "that look" on their face - they think I'm crazy to know this much/spend this much time to save some money. To each their own. Now I just need to learn when to keep it to myself.
