No, it didn't work on gift cards. Some people forced the issue and found an employee to override the system. But that led to them discontinuing to honor the employee discount and 5% prescription coupons on gift cards.

*sigh* You have no idea there is any causal relation between some people asking for the discount 2 years ago and Target discontinuing other discounts. I know you are peeved that some people got a discount but for goodness sakes, give it a rest!

Has anyone here used the My Giftcards Plus on swagbucks?? Was thinking of taking advantage of the 33% extra back by ordering an Ebay card from there which would end up being right around 6% off, then using the Ebay card on a Target card, ultimately ending up with a Disney card from Target's website with the 5% off. That 11% is higher than any of the discounts I could get right now just going through Raise to get the Target card. Was hoping someone here might have tried something similar and could share their experience.

There were reports from corporate about people getting fired for overriding the system. The other discounts were discontinued within six weeks without any change in the listed exclusions. You're regent; I can say if there was correlation or causation, but it seems way too close to be a coincidence.

Just wanted to post that I did buy a gift card from Target.com and received an email that my order qualified for the 20% coupon (will be emailed tomorrow).

For those who have a Shoprite grocery store nearby-- They have a 2 day deal (today and tomorrow) Buy gift card of $100 or more and get $20 back on your next shopping trip. The $20 off coupon prints at the bottom of your receipt for the GC purchase so don't toss it!! Also, the $20 off must be used next week. They make you jump through hoops with the details, don't they.

I've got $100 Disney GC in my cart right now. The 5% redcard discount came off. I am up to the part where you add in your Target GC......At what point did they let you know you qualified for the 20% off? Do you have to enter a promo code for it?

I was worried about this as well. Nothing gave any indication I'd receive the 20% off coupon until I got the confirmation email from Target a few minutes later after the purchase. I needed to buy 4 bar stools and went through the PayPal link to get an additional $5 off my order bringing my subtotal to exactly $76 (I did it 4 times to get 4 coupons). I'll be giving the other coupons to friends or family if I don't use them all. I got the confirmation emails and they all said I'd be receiving the coupon tomorrow with further information.

It can't be combined with any other category coupon or other promo code. I'm not sure if that answers your question.

question about Ebates.....since Target's Disney cards are classified as "entertainment cards" ....does anyone know if the Ebates cashback program works when you purchase Disney Gift CArds?
