Rosie: "Thank you." She called her parents. On impulse, she put her phone on speaker (because that's what she always did when she was in a room by herself). "Hi mom, hi dad."
Mom: "Hi Rosie."
Dad: "How's our little girl?"
Rosie: "Ok I guess."
Mom: "How's your first day back?"
Rosie: "Ok I guess."
Dad: "Is something wrong?"
Rosie: "No."
Mom: "Well that's good. Did anything interesting happen today?"
Rosie: "I switched rooms, so now I have a roomate."
Mom: "That's great! You've always talked about being lonely right?"
Rosie: "Yeah. Oh, and I actually felt happy today."
Dad: "Fantastic! When?"
Rosie: "When Nate kept turning into random people. It was funny." She giggled at the thought.
Mom: "Great. So, who's your new roomate?"
Rosie: "Mrs. Collins' daughter, Amy."
Mom: "Great, great."
Rosie: "*yawn* Well I'm getting kind of tired."
Dad: "Tired or-"
Mom: "Johnathan!"
Rosie: She imagined her mom probably hit his arm. "No, just tired Dad."
Mom: "Well you get some rest. Goodnight."
Dad: "Goodnight."
Rosie: "Goodnight, love you."
Both parents: "Love you too."
Rosie: She hung up the phone and texted Nate 'Goodnight ' "You can come in now Amy."
