Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Following. I'm hoping for August 4th, but I'm not sure I have the energy to stalk the reservations like I once did! We've had the benefit of attending now several times. Does anyone know how the reservations work now that they are giving it such an early time? We have dinner reservations for that night already. Curious to know if we will run into trouble trying to book since it will look like the same "meal" time.

You will likely not be able to book the party online if you have a dinner reservation booked around 6pm. However, you can call and book the party by phone. Two weeks before the party, you are now supposed to phone Disney and confirm the start time of the party because the fireworks time should be solid by then. I just verify with the website myself and haven't had any problems. This party *technically* should be able to be booked 180 days in advance, but it is still stuck at July 4th. Frustrating? Oh yes..... Good luck!! I'm hoping people will post on this thread when they find any movement past July 4th!!

I even had a bit of a problem with the cm on the phone when trying to do this. I have an ADR at Artist Point on June 17th at 5:30 that I booked over the phone (because of online issues) and then tried to book the Wishes Dessert Party and the cm told me I could't because the 6:00 time in the system was creating a conflict with AP. After a couple of minutes the cm was able to get it handled and I have both scheduled for that evening.

So excited, we didnt find out until about 2 weeks ago that we were going to WDW for a conference for DH. I have been searching for a ressie for this ever since. Today it showed up and it is for our last night there. Not a better way to end our vacation. I'm so EXCITED!!

For all those who are still looking: DONT GIVE UP!!

I spoke too soon! I had success this evening and was able to book the party for TWO sets of friends during the March break!!! So happy! Thanks to all you posted and encouraged people to keep trying to find cancellations! Now.........if only the party would open beyond July 4th and we'd all be happy!!

I just read that in another thread. I'm really hoping that that's not true. I love this party. I have hope that maybe it's just misinformation. (I know, that never happens! lol) It reminds me of last year when I kept trying to book for September, and it didn't open up for the longest time. There were all kinds of things that people were being told over the phone. I remember: they had been booked completely for corporate parties, hub construction, not doing it anymore, MNSSHP dates needed to be finalized, etc. Then magically the dates appeared!

I'm also joining Hopefully if they are making changes it is just revamping the current party not doing away with it. Maybe it will be Frozen themed!

I was one who called and was told it was being replaced. She didn't know with what or when but said I could check on the Disney blog off and on . Who knows CM's are know for giving out the wrong info ?

This has me sooo stressed out! I really really loved this party. It was a huge highlight of our trip. As a matter of fact, I don't think I would ever wait in the crowds to view Wishes ever again. I'm considering an FP+ for this, but half of our party is staying off site so they won't get the FP too. I was trying to book this as a surprise for everyone. I'm so disappointed we might not be able to do this!

I'm disapponted too ! This was going to be our first time booking it. I have faith they will open reservations back up for it. Someone told me they dont always open it at 180 days, that some have had to wait, and keep checking.

I really really hope you're right. This was an absolute highlight of our trip. It was magical relaxing before the fireworks and then not having to fight or push or shove to watch. I don't remember any of the desserts being out of this world, but I remember watching my DS play with his cousin before the show started and then watching him lean on the railing with a huge smile singing "Let it Go" with Celebrate the Magic. This party is so worth it. I'll try to book a FP+ if they don't have this anymore, but I'll be really disappointed.

Subscribing in hopes of learning more as info becomes available. Finally have kids old enough to stay up for wishes and wanted a low crowd option in September. Really hope it's not going away!

i read the last few pages of the thread...i'll be equally disappointed if they are not continuing to hold the dessert party past july 4th when was the last month of dates opened up ? does anyone know ??

I was able to book June 26th 180 days out. I had casually checked for July 3 and 4 and those opened up about halfway through January I think though I didn't book one. The 3rd opened up a week or so before the 4th if memory serves.

This is my first time doing the dessert party. If they cancel it I'm glad to be able to experience it this once.
