Oh I'm excited it for my dates. I have a question. My dates are Oct 18-26 and were out of the free dining dates. I've already booked with dining. Will they still be able to add the fall discount to my room?

I wish mine had done this already. I woke up with a text from a friend who saw this earlier (She's east coast I am mountain time zone).

Now I have to wait for my TA to deal with getting us changed over.

We just got our RO discount. But we had to switch our suite since apparently it doesn't apply for Lion King at AoA. Didn't save us a ton in the end, but still is money we can use elsewhere (like one of our OOP meals)

PS - Anyone know why Lion King suites are excluded?

So it's official! I was really disappointed with the selection of the Late Fall Discount promo and went over to Orbitz. They had 25% off Animal Kingdom plus another 10% off promo. I figured it would give me the exact savings as the Fall promo and I didn't have to compromise with bunk beds or Arushka ($$$) view. I do get free cancelation if anything opens up at the other resorts, but we might just keep it now that the worrying and waiting is over. So I spent an average $203 per night for a standard view rather than $334, so it's a deal to me.

Looking back, I should have booked a room and then applied the discount. I'm super disappointed I couldn't find a discounted standard or woods at Wilderness.

Your TA has to call, Disney won't make any changes as the TA "owns" the reservation. Anyone else in the TA office that can call and get the discount for you.

Thank you. I emailed the TA my TA left for while she was out for vacation. The phone number they listed was for emergencies only and while I might think this is an emergency they probably do not. lol

I just called. We are staying at the Contemporary. Arriving 10/18 and our package was going to be $1500 MORE with the fall room discount. Weird. We didn't have any other discounts applied to our rooms. The CM said the room prices probably went up since we first booked. Bummed.

Not sure what's up with this discount. I've checked two different weeks in October online and am finding very little availability. I'm seeing POP available during both weeks, but no All Stars the first week, and only Music available the other week. I don't want Music with the food court rehab going on.

For moderates I was surprised to see POR significantly cheaper than CBR one of those weeks.

I'm wondering if they haven't released all the discounts for this promotion yet. I've never seen one where I couldn't find availability at the All Stars first day it's released.

I cannot find one deluxe room with the discount working for our dates- I wonder what is up with that. We have club room at GF booked with free dinning, but a room discount would save us more. Frustrating!

It is possible that everything is not loaded into the system yet. Keep checking online, and call the moment you see what you want. If you haven't booked yet, just book it online.

I am hoping this is just a Disney screw up and our dates become available. I emailed my travel agent as well in case they have rooms blocked off. How can all the rooms be gone a couple hours after the discount is announced? Crazy! I would have spoken to them sooner had I been able to get through! Very frustrating. They did tell me to keep trying back in case of cancellations.

If I have a reservation through Disney right now and I cancel that and book through Orbitz, would I lose all the reservations I made in MDE? Is there any reason to NOT book through Orbitz?

I have been following October rates for the GF for a while now on both the Disney websites and other sites such as Orbitz; as I would have preferred the room discount to the free dining deal we currently have.

I had noted that for the last few weeks already the GF has not had availability; perhaps just in a club level room for our couple of dates during our stay.

That was before the late fall specials of this morning!

It looks like October will be a very busy month at WDW!
