Doesn't everybody have Disney on speed dial? Seriously? Mickeystoontown does! 5/14

Ooooh! Yay for the Mine Train! I can't wait to hear about it!

Lisa, your trip sounds perfect, well until someone comes up with another change to make. I started laughing with Hunter's call. It always makes me smile when my family chimes in. I was surprised that Chris will already look at menus with me.
I can follow along with your ADR changes, what I have lost count is how many disers will be there. I hope you have a lot of dismeets, even just to say a quick hi.
:yay: for the two FP for the mine ride. I can't wait to start reading reviews.

I forgot to tell ya'll that I got FP+ for the mine train. Not one but two! One on opening day and one for later in the trip. I'm excited!

Wow that is great ! I thought I was all set on my fastpass for SDMT for one at 10:00 am and got to looking yesterday and it was for 10:00 pm not am :scared1: I was so bummed because I wanted to try to get extra fastpasses but that messed that up. There are none available right now for SDMT. Oh well now I'm searching for a earlier time and a couple of our favorite restaurants :rotfl: What times did you get ?

I was going through some pictures of Abby's graduation trip and found one of Aubree in one of the dresses that you made for her.

LISA!!!

I won't even pretend to be halfway caught up, but I had to say to one of my favorite people:

Wow looks like you have been busy with ADR's :rotfl: I have been doing the same checking and stalking :rotfl:
Let us know if Hunter makes the American Idol Experience ! That would be awesome, hope he does.

I'm so glad that I have my ADRs like I want them now. Now, they feel right. Before, I felt like something was off and couldn't put my finger on why. The only thing that I would like to change would be to get a little bit of an earlier time for Via Napoli so we could watch Illuminations afterwards.

Yea I got mine to for opening day and another day. We were in MK the last day Snow Whites Scary Adventure was opened and rode it, so I was excited that we would be there when this officially open. I'm a little worried about the crowds but I figure while everyone is running to SDMT and A&E we have low waits everywhere else that day.

I don't blame Hunter for wanting to mix things up. We ate Ohana's last trip and I was trying to make myself go eat at another resort to see something different but the bread at Kona's, the sushi, and the drink in the pineapple won me out. We've never been in the GF, and the CR we've only seen the inside from the monorail. I'm thinking if we have time after dinner we might have to go on a monorail tour before heading back to MK.

Yay for Mine Train FP+!

I actually don't mind that Hunter decided to mix things up. I like going to different resorts for dinner and it's been a few years since we've been to Grand Floridian.

Yay! Now I'm even more jealous. I can't wait to hear all about it!

I'm super excited!

My daughter Abby went on Summit Plummet on our first trip. We watched her come down and went over to where she would get out and waited for about five minutes. (ok maybe not that long but she didn't pop right out) When she finally emerged I asked what took so long, hoping she hadn't gotten hurt, she said she had a wedgie, and she wasn't getting out of the flume until it was corrected. :rotfl2:

Oh wow! I'm thinking about getting a pair of running shorts to wear over my swimsuit. Or maybe not...that'd just be another piece of "wedgie" clothing. Did you like Summit Plummet?

Ok, I'm FINALLY HERE!!!!! :happytv:

Welcome! So good to see you!

It does make me happy to know that Hunter (in all his teenage glory) is thinking about the vacation and is ready to go too.

I am soooo ready to go!

The FP+ on the 28th is between 7:10 and 8:10 p.m. which is right before our surprise dessert party. The other is for 11:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. which is after our breakfast at Crystal Palace. There were other times available on other MK days but I wanted to use our FP+ for other attractions.

:cool1: :yay: :cheer2:

So exciting!

I know! I know!

You can always go to Via Napoli early and they may seat you.

That's what I thought about doing. The reservation is at 7:45 p.m. and I would rather it be around 7:00 so we could get in and out in time to see Illuminations. But, last trip, we had a 7:30 and were out in time to see it.

Hahaha.......nooooo :sad2: I don't really do anything at a water park. I panic when I get water in my face, it's so bad that I have to have a towel hanging over the shower door at all times, and I'm afraid of heights. :confused3 My mom's the same, but the girls are total water bugs, so I sucked it up for them. I do go on the lazy river but mildly panic anywhere water gets in my face. As my SIL would say, I'm a hot mess. :rotfl:

I am a little panicky around water myself. I am fine and dandy when you leave me alone and let me have my fun. Touch me under the water and I'd freak the heck out! Like, I'll punch you in the throat freak out. :rotfl:

Pay out of pocket? Drop it? I gotta stop it!

Okay ya'll, I had barely gotten it out of my mouth that I wouldn't be making any ADR changes, I looked at our itinerary and budget.

I was wondering if it would be better to pay out of pocket for our dinner at the Grand Floridian instead of using dining plan credits. This is the night that we are also doing the Wishes Dessert Party and I had planned on telling John and Hunter about the dessert party while getting ready for dinner. If we paid out of pocket, we wouldn't order any desserts so that we'd have room for all of the dessert party goodies. But, even without the desserts, the meal would be about $90.00 as opposed to about $104.00 with desserts (the desserts there are cheap according to allearsnet).

If we had not used the dining credit, I would have used it to pay for our breakfast at Crystal Palace which would be about $95.00. Not much of a difference between the price of Grand Floridian and Crystal Palace breakfast.

I priced out each of our meals using the dining plan and not using the dining plan to see if it would be cheaper to pay for Grand Floridian out of pocket and use the dining plan on another meal. Nope. Everything comes out about even so I'm not changing anything. Just may not order dessert at Grand Floridian or, at the very least, split a little dessert.

Now, I said all that to get around to what I may actually change. For our first day without the dining plan, I have Beaches & Cream for lunch and Ohana for dinner. At first, I was super excited about Beaches & Cream taking ADRs and getting to see the Beach Club and possibly walk over to the Boardwalk. Over time, though, the excitement has waned a little. Our ADR is at 11:40 which means that it will be mid-day hot by the time we are done. Plus, the menu is burgers and sandwiches which will probably cost us between $50 and $60.

For any of ya'll who have eaten there, is the food good enough to keep the ADR. I'm not talking about the desserts/ice cream because that's not what we are going for (add to the fact that I am allergic to milk/ice cream). Or, should we just go to Downtown Disney and eat at Wolfgang Puck? Or should we go to another resort and eat? Or, yes, there's another OR, should we just stay at the resort and do nothing which is not something that I am good at. ;)

Ready.........set.........go! Tell me what ya'll think!

P.S. Budgetwise, we are good with any of the ORs that I posted above.

I was thinking the same thing about getting a reservation at Beaches and Cream because we have never been to the Beach Club and would like to see it. Instead we decided on eating at Cape May for the breakfast buffet. They also have a dinner buffet. Breakfast is until 11:00 and dinner starts at 5:00. You would get more food for the dining credit but the times they have the meals may not work for you :confused3 Ops just read you will be without the dining plan. The breakfast buffet is $26.62 for an adult , this was dated Jan.2014 if the price hasnt went up.
I have changed my dining plans so many times I'm not sure where we are going LOL.
