Star Wars breakfast menu at Sci Fi

For those who went to the breakfast did you think it was worth the money? We have a reservation next Monday and go back and forth about keeping it.

It's a great experience. We liked it so much we are doing it again.

It was nice to have the interaction with the characters in the AIR CONDITIONING!! The food was fantastic.

If you want more of an item, simply ask your server. They won't say no

Wish I would have know! My husband would have loved more! The food was great but our server was not very social so we didn't chat with him much.

The Jawas were my favorites as far as character interactions. They spent a lot of time at each table and were just a lot of fun. Bring something to trade with them!

Can you give any more details about that? Sounds like fun and I know my 11 year old would really be into it. What sort of things do they trade? Pins? What should we have one hand to trade? Thanks!

I know there has been lots of controversy about the dining plan credits for the star wars meals. I just read another article on touringplans.com that states they have confirmed that at both meals charge 2 Adult dining credits for both adults and children. Can someone that works for disney please advise if this is correct?

it's a 2 credit meal but it's not 2 adult credits. Children are charged children credits, adults are charged adult credits

shiny things...paper clips, tin foil, they like stickers, pens, rocks...pretty much anything that has no value

I know there has been a lot of controversy about the star wars meals and dining credits. Touringplans.com just posted an article of "what you need to know" about star wars dining and it states they have confirmed that children are charged 2 adult credits. Can any cast members give any insight to this. If this is true it will use all of our table service credits

I just read the same article on touringplans.com and it states in bold letters that children are charged two adult credits for the meals. I'm currently on hold with WDW-dine to try and get more info. If that's the case we are going to cancel. :-/

Just got off phone with Angela at WDW-dine and yes children are being charged two adult table service credits for the Star Wars meals. She didn't seem happy to have to tell me that either. Guess that means an 8:25 on May 26 for 4 is about to open up if anyone wants it. As DH just said "what a rip for those wig small children!":scared1:

I am not usually one to complain about a wait, but, if you have an ADR and they can't seat you, then I would need more than a FP and a $50 to make me happy. Thankfully, I have two separate ADRs for this on two separate trips and we have an 8:30 on our first trip and a 9:15 on our second trip. Hopefully, that's early enough.

I don't think people should have to expect delays. Disney is not new at this game, they have plenty of character dining experiences and special events under their belt, so they should be able to plan appropriately.

I agree, I would not want the $50 gift card. I think it would have been more appropriate to try to find a way for those left out to meet the characters. That would have satisfied me far more than a $50 gift card. And where else were these poor people going to get

However, I can see this being a unique case and hard to plan out all eventualities. Sci Fi is not a buffet and they have to completely turn the restaurant for lunch and get rid of the characters and backdrops. Normally at the character meals the breakfast crowd just stays as they put out the lunch selections. In this case with characters for breakfast but not for lunch they have to empty the restaurant as well as change over to lunch.

We don't use DDP but if I did I would not use 2 adult TS credits for those under 10. I would just pay OOP. I just cannot believe this is true although I did see the touringplans article and I know they are usually reliable. Hope someone who has been with children can advise.

This makes no sense! It will mess up the whole dining plan making us have extra child credits and not enough adult ones!

Hi I just ate at Hollywood and vine Star Wars dinner tonight and it was alot of fun. They did allow me to use TIW which was a great surprise. Anyone use it at the sci fi breakfast? I have reservations on weds. Thanks!

Nice to know, curious if I will be able to use it for the dinner as well. Everyone on the phone with reservations and everyone that reviews/blogs indicates that TIW is not accepted for either of the meals.

This just shows how things change or information was incorrect to begin with. Although, I suppose you may have lucked out with a server that was unaware that the discount was not supposed to be honored for the meal.

Wow. That will be great if we can use it.. I have fri AM breakfast and will definitely try

that website is incorrect...Disney dining is incorrect...Children are charged 2 CHILDREN credits..Adults 2 ADULT credits...

I assure you I am telling you the TRUTH

and NO discounts at the meals...The CM that gave you the discount was wrong in doing so

that's insane, and its also incorrect information. There is no reason whatsoever for children to be charged for adult meals ONLY if they are on the dining plan. And of course WDW-DINE is wrong again as usual. You should know that WDW-DINE is incorrect more often than they are correct when it comes to giving ANY kind of information that goes beyond the actual making of restaurant reservations - I caution against using them as an information line.

Mom2of2 knows of what she speaks. The CMs on the phone are wrong and giving out misinformation, but since it's being spread by TouringPlans and other blogs, this is a pretty serious mistake!

(personally, regardless, I would not use the Dining Plan for this meal anyway - save your credits for something else; this one makes sense to pay out of pocket)
