Finally getting around to posting a pic of our room! We were at pop in Nov and did a Christmas room! This was our first time, so we kept it simple. I loved doing it, and the kids loved it too. We will do more next time. The face in the mickey head were window clings that our mousekeeper added! We also put a cheap dry erase board decorated with Disney stickers on our door and wrote our fave Disney quotes on it each day, and got cute messages back from our mousekeeper and other guests. Thanks for this thread. It really added magic to our stay!

Looks terrific! How did you make the mickey heads? Are they thread through the ribbon? Thanks for sharing!

I did them like the old paper chains I used to make in school, but with two smaller loops at the top for the ears. I used curling ribbon and stapled it onto the top of each ear. I made it for my sons Mickey birthday and saved it for this trip (and half of it is in his Mickey room). I was going to thread it, but when I started that, it took FOREVER, so figured this was the fastest way. Then through packing, when one came off, I just restapled it.

This thread is so much fun! I can't wait to decorate our window at Pop in November, and like a few other PP, am not sure if I want to do Thanksgiving or Christmas, I will be incorporating my anniversary in somehow as well!

This is awesome!!! I had no idea you could decorate the window : ) I want to surprise my kiddos next trip! Ok so I saw no tape allowed... How do you attach the signs you make? Where can I find the cool function cup things I saw? Sorry I am super NOT crafty!! Ha ha

We are going back to Disney in 21 days and we are staying at AoA in one of the Cars family suites. I know it's not Christmas but I really wanted to decorate our window for my kids.

Does anyone know if you can put magnets on the room doors? Do you have to have a timer on the lights?

Hi! You should be able to use magnets on the door. we hung a dry erase board on the front of our door. we got lots of cute messages from people passing by and from our mousekeeper. It was hung up by magnets. And i don't think you HAVE to use a timer, but it would be good idea too, just for safety reasons. I am totally speculating, but i would think mousekeeping might unplug them during they day if they were left on. Hope this helps!

Love this thread!!! We are going staying at Pop in 54 days. (not that i'm counting or anything. I'm ready to go!!
We are celebrating my oldest daughter's 5th birthday while we are there and my dad's 50ths birthday!! We have 2 rooms so i'm doing 2 windows. Ours is going to be Princess' on ours for my daughters birthday. And I'm also doing our names on License plates I got from a wonderful DISinger.
In my parents window i'm doing Haunted Mansion for his birthday! He's turning 50 and i'm going to have oh so much fun with this lol. Can't wait!

I've decorated our window with lights any time of the year. It gets some very cool notes on the dry erase board. My only problem was one stay Sept 2013 with a group of (I think) Cheerleaders from Argentina. They were running amuck in POP and came up to our floor and drew some distasteful images on the dry eraseboard. We were sleeping and got awoken by them. I thought they were leaving a normal message. I am all for being a kid and being silly but, drawing a gentleman's private parts is not cool. I wound up taking down the dry erase board. They left the pen uncapped and it dried out. :-(

I'm making a poster that will have Haunted Mansion font. I printed out a "death certificate" to my fathers youth from doombuggies.com....I got a license plate with his name made by a wonderful disigner RustMan (great stuff!) I also have purple christmas lights and using a few other things that we already have. Still working on ideas....it's actually kinda difficult...lol.

So cute! Love the colors. How do you have the flowers on the window? Are they taped somehow? We have decorated before, but I am still trying to determine the best way to hang things. I have tried suction cups with little hooks, but I am not quite sure that I like it that way. I know there are probably really good suggestions on this thread, but it has been a while since I have gone entirely through it.

There are 4 strands of flowers each on a fishing line. Each strand is hanging from a suction cup. The string of lights is also attached with suctions cups.
