SO I CRASH THE DVC PREVIEW OF GFV.

This sounds like a movie...

I just tell the guard I am here for the DVC presentation. I was...

I go upstairs to fins Citrico's and see tables and a check in area. I approach with my tale.
I get the " Did you already register?"
I reply: "I tried .... but..."

The CM looks at me and I am ready to the rejection. Sorry you are not special enough, sorry you are not allowed but I get.....

" Well it is full but I can put you on the waiting list."

Nice. It's good to know that we have DIS agents ready to infiltrate these secret events.

My plate- I found out later the spoon with the on the bottom of my plate was a Spoonful of sugar... how cute.

Seems kind of skinny. Slackers.

The view is nice, and the rest of the place is awesome. I think I would have taken off a few square feet from inside, though, and added it to make a bigger balcony. Just my personal preference, but since I'm not a DVC member, they didn't bother to consult me.

Maybe the main balcony off the living/Dining area was bigger? Don't have a picture of that but yeah single file and no room to really "gather" out there.

It was nice and well if you look at the points for the Grand villa...

No doubt you would have room inside.

AWESOME pictures of the GFV- the resort and the master villa suite.

The penguin fountain is absolutely adorable!

So far, the peek at the rooms confirm that everything is gorgeous, luxurious and so tastefully done.

I am home on medical leave and still struggle to keep up much less get something up here. I had planned to do a re-cap of the trips I had since DL but I will see what I get to.

I was hoping I would get something, I mean they should know I had a reservation during the timeframe of the presentation and sneak peek. Arriving 30-45 minutes early to get on a waiting list was worth it.

It was a great tour, so much energy and everyone was excited to see everything. In the video they showed us it showed about 3 or 4 kids in bathing suits, running to play in the huge shower. That thing was about the size of a small locker room shower room.

I of course was given the opportunity to talk with a guide about adding on points. The whole tour took about 2 hours and I knew the next group would be coming through shortly.

Good for you for crashing. I love the pictures. I have a friend on another board who got to stay there at the end of Oct and she loved it, though she said the jets in the tub were not very powerful.
I am glad you got the tour. I wish we could buy, but my husband is against anything that is timeshare like for some dumb reason, but if I ever win the lottery a DVC is at the top of my list.

Pat - thank you for all the wonderful photos. That grand villa is out of this world. I know I will never get to stay in a GF, but it was sure nice to see the pictures. Just amazing.

I will be very happy with my nice little standard view studio. I figure I would start out small and then move up. I think the rooms are so lovely and it is pretty cool that the studios sleep 5 with that little pull down bed.

The lobby is gorgeous,too.

for getting into see the new DVC Villas at Grand Floridian. And thank you for those beautiful pictures. I know, despite the fact that one of the headboards has Dumbo on it, that I will never get Mark to stay there (truthfully, it's not really me either). But it is truly beautiful and well done.

I must be blanking out. What happened, Dan? Must have been pretty bad, if it's bad enough to keep you from going back do you think you should report it? I just reported some not so nice things and got a response back and a call. They were really nice about it and wanted to hear the feed back, especially on the CM that aren't so great. She was very upfront about that.

It was Practically Perfect!!! It was so neat to be able to see it. The points for the Grand villa are unreal. The points per night range from 112- 227.... a night

Thanks- I have been to SSR for the mock ups in the past but being IN the villas was magical. I am glad I pushed the issue and for the breakfast and presentation was the plus. I would have been okay with just a peek.

I think everyone was just giddy.

I am sure I will make the rounds to the GF in a studio.

I really wasn't even listening to the CM leading all of us around, I may have missed important information but seeing how she told there were no hidden Mickeys and pretty much the whole group proved her wrong my best course of action was to take pictures.

MeMom has that observation. I am hoping the main balcony was larger than that MB one but with a villa that sleep 12 I would hope you all don't have to stand side by side and take turns to use the balcony.

Thank you Kathy - I am feeling stronger and getting flexibility back at this point.

If Dumbo won't lure Mark I don't know what will. The positive thing is that it is set aside from the Main lobby of the GF. The Villa entrance at least does make you think you can at least touch things in there.

I am sorry you were made to feel that way at the Grand Flo. I have not had a negative experience there but don't feel like I should be touching anything in there. Now the Villas, much more homey and comfortable.
