anniebean & Geoff also spent the day yesterday at Universal Studios and sent us this update.
She said, "Over on the dark side today..."
They had lunch at the new Simpsons Fast Food Boulevard in Springfield, USA...
FYI - The Simpsons Fast Food Blvd is a single dining venue featuring several Simpsons-themed counter service restaurants including...
...where Geoff had a Krusty Burger (6 oz. Burger with Secret Sauce, cheddar cheese sauce, a giant tomato slice, iceberg lettuce, served on a specialty bun) and anniebean had "another good" veggie burger (Mother Nature Burger -
6 oz Black Bean Burger topped with guacamole & tomato slice, served on a specialty bun).
And from...
Geoff had a...
Flaming Moe -The non-alcoholic Signature Specialty drink of Springfield (orange flavored soda, served in a special layered cup with dry ice underneath to make it bubble)
And then they shared a orange creamsicle cupcake from (I think???)...

And it seems that despite the fact that these items were purchased from different counters, they must all share a common cash register (as evidenced by the receipt pic that anniebean sent).
Then later anniebean sent this beverage snack update...

Next in yesterday were three more updates from Paul (GrandCalifornian), starting with this snack update from Magic Kingdom.
He said, "We got some popcorn while leaving MK this morning."
"We later got free ice cream bars after having a long wait at Guest Services getting our new passes."
"I got a cookies and cream ice cream sandwich and Melissa and Allie both had Mickey premium bars."

Yes, they all share a cafeteria style checkout. The cupcakes were actually offered as you checkout so it was an impulse buy. After you pay for food, an attendant then seats you at a table so no searching aimlessly for one with tray full of food.

Paul & family then had dinner last night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's...
"The buffet had all sorts of interesting items, which were more adventurous than we usually eat."
Ancho Barbecue Ribs (pictured on right)
"We really enjoyed the food quality and variety."
"This photo isn't a mini buffet pic, it is Paul's dish with a little of everything that would fit."
"Melissa's was better plated..."
"And she put Allie's together too."
"Allie had the Durban Chicken with sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese."
"Paul's favorite was the ancho barbecue ribs, and Melissa loved the New York strip steak. We also both loved the curried pasta salad. There was a lot of variety in African themed dishes, and most everything we tried we enjoyed enough to finish."
"For desserts we had strawberry pana cota, fruit cobbler, a sugar cookie, fruit cheesecake, and most of all... Zebra Domes."
"We loved the meal and would definitely eat here again, especially on rib night."

One more Epcot update was received from Maiky last night, this one from their dinner on Friday at Mexico's...
He said, "We began with two Margaritas, the Mango Basil and the Orange Mango Fire Margarita."
"For our appetizers I ordered the Gorditas and Iván ordered the Ensalada de la Hacienda."
"For our entrées we both ordered the Costillas en salsa de Chile."
"Our dinner came with rice and beans."
"For dessert I chose the Empanada de Manzana and Iván chose the Helado de Maiz (no picture)."
"And then we both enjoyed watching Illuminations from our table."
"This was our second time at La Hacienda and we really enjoyed the food but the service was just okay. The servers always seem rushed and almost running."

We have received just a few updates so far today, so I'm going to go ahead and begin posting them. Our First Update of the Day was sent to us this morning by anniebean.
