YEAH! Just booked a garden view room at POR from Dec. 14-25!!! FREE DINING! Party of 5! Oh my goodness! So glad I don't have to get up at 6 am tomorrow!

What is preferred?

Preferred is closer to the main building and pool.

So I just logged in after days away only to read about FD. So here's my tale of woe to anyone you cares to listen. Its after midnight and too late to call wdw so I must think aloud to my dis friends. I booked our October 26 trip back in January treating whole family to 2 bdroom BLT LV.
Paying for dining but wiith room discount (bounceback) was told by cm at time of booking that this was better than my AP discount. Called two weeks ago to ask if October dining is offered do I get it. I was told no and reassured that bounceback offer was better than Fd. (Its one or the other he said.) Just sharing that for anyone in same boat and hoping I got it straight. Sound right?
Already second guessing my resort choice as we are first time BLT. The poky is our passion but with 8 adults and baby the extra space seemed to make sense. Someone tell me I will be happy! Thanks for letting me sound off and also for so many great pieces of info

Woohoo!!! Just booked my free dining online!! Forget waking up early for me! I'm so excited!! We were going no matter what, but now we can actually DO all the character meals and table service ADR's I booked months ago!

No POR for my dates.
We are staying there with a bunch of extended family so we can't change resorts without a major fiasco. Just booked it under a RO discount, but that definitely does not save us much money.

Any chance there will be more rooms if I call in in the morning?

The biggest question would be if your room was available for free dining for your dates. Dining per adults is just under sixty, so FD would save you about 480 a night. Is that better than your bounce back savings? You probably got 30% on your bob villa offer.

First post, but I've been reading here since planning our first trip to WDW last summer. I was pretty worried about getting into a value with the number of PIN offers that seemed to be around.

Next year, our youngest will be 3, and we'll be a family of 5, so it's our last chance for Value Resorts. We stayed at Pop in November last year and adored it, so I am so excited that we'll be back again this year! YAY- cupcakes here I come! Thank you all so much for the info on the offer, as well as the timely news that it went up a bit early.

The biggest question would be if your room was available for free dining for your dates. Dining per adults is just under sixty, so FD would save you about 480 a night. Is that better than your bounce back savings? You probably got 30% on your bob villa offer.

Good point. Thought of that too. Guess I will calltomorrow and ask. If room isn't available guess I will have to sucked it up rather than lose room discount. Thanks so much for replying. Appreciate it very much. I will be up all night thinking while DH snores away. No one in my family knows what goes into these 20 plus years of planning "our" dream trips! Lol

I changed to a party of 4 just to see if my dates would open up and it showed the royal rooms- but when I switched back to 5 people it gave me no availability again

Alligator Bayou rooms have a hideaway bed in them that allows them to sleep 5, the royal rooms don't so they only sleep 4. Hope something opens up in AB for you.

So since there was no rooms avail at POR for my Dec 15-21...I decided to look at room only discounts of 20% and today before this was released rooms (standard) was 245.00 per night...with the 20% discount the rooms are 232.00 per night....

My question is am I off on my math??

My total charge for this package payin oop for dining was more expensive than what my total charge was paying oop for dining now lol

Yay! FD for thanksgiving week. My first 2 choices were unavailable, so I went with CSR preferred room. I do not know anything about this resort, but it was $900 cheaper than POR without FD

I was able to get POR in AB for Oct. 28 - Nov. 9. We need until the 10th but will do a RO for that as there was not availability with free dining with that day. Anyway, we are a family of 5. It is a garden view...only thing avail. I wanted preferred just because of resort size but I will stay happy with my $1700 savings as is!!
