I haven't been to Seaworld in a long time but would love to go again, can't wait to see your photos.

I don't blame you on not wanting to deal with the crowds. And I never heard of Deerfield Beach (we go to the other side of Florida to Marco). That's quite the drive since it is past Palm Beach. But it will be nice to meet Vinny's friend and, hopefully, see his son.

Yes, leave the dining choices to the locals.

I haven't been to Sea World since the kids were little! And I don't have to go back! Not a big Universal fan either! The only reason I went last time was for Harry Potter & that WAS worth it!!! Awesome! The rest of the parks...not so much. I just don't care for it. Can't really say why either. Guess it's just not Disney???

Vinny likes the Atlantic side and hates the Gulf. I have no idea why but I am happy to go anywhere.
I really don't mind driving so it will definitely be worth it.
I was looking at menus before on yelp.

I love Universal but I love so many of the movies and I really want to see the Despicable me ride and I better see some Minions. Disney I love but I do like to spice it up a little. LOL

We got roundtrip for $268. I did not think it was bad. We have gotten better but we are dealing with Thanksgiving weekend.

That's a great deal! About what I paid for our trip last Thanksgiving with Airtran. I secretly hope I can find an affordable flight for our trip… we'll see!

I love that you have a countdown to the second! I am now starting to freak that the crowds that first week of Dec. Will be huge. We usually go the end of Jan. When there are low crowds but we do often have tour groupsugh!! What are your dates in Disney?

At Universal City Walk-Margaritaville -3 guys play in the band "Panama"
Dave Runde, Mike Ferguson and Ron Runde. I went to school with Ron and Dave and Mike were about 3-5 years younger than me. This band used to play over at DtD. Mike Ferguson also subs sometimes for Off Kilter.
Anyhow they are a great cover band. I've seen pictures of them playing with Jimmy Buffet when he stopped in. How cool would that be.

I am concerned of the crowds but I am expecting heavy crowds so I think I am prepared.

Here we are. Scott & Vinny.

not hard to do with an update every 2 weeks.

This is day 3 technically. Friday was day 1 but really not much going on. Day 2 will find us going south to visit friends and family. Now we are on Sunday December 1st.

This day will find us going somewhere we have not been in a while.


The hotel we are staying at has a shuttle so I am thinking we will use that. No parking fee then.

This day we will visit the side of.


The Universal side. I am excited for this side as last time we had a lot of fun and this time it will have decorations hopefully.
What are my hopes for this day? Glad you asked. In no particular order this is what I wish to accomplish.

The Simpsons Ride. This is a must. I was so scared last time but I loved it.


This I feel is like Buzz and Toy Story but you don’t control the vehicle.

Then we will have to do Shrek 4D. I loved this the last time we went. It is a show but a little more interactive. (pic borrowed from internet)


The next ride would be the Hollywood Rip, Ride Rockit Coaster. Now I am not sure if I will have the nerve to do it but I would to try. (Pic borrowed from internet)

Another coaster ride I want to do is The Mummy’s Revenge. (Pic borrowed).


Then we have to take a ride with E.T. We skipped this last time but we will not this time. (Pic borrowed)


BEE DO, BEE DO, BEE DO I have to see the Minion ride. I love the Minions. I hope they walk around the park because I want a pic with one. (pic borrowed)


Of course we have to see Beetlejuice. This show is a hoot.


So those are my hopes. I also would like to see the I love Lucy show or exhibit.

Here are the countdowns as of today. The first is when we leave and go to Universal and then the next is when we arrive at Disney.



Not sure where we will be eating. Maybe at Citywalk or maybe we will go out somewhere once we get back to the hotel.

Those are our day 1 hopes. If we get through half I will be happy.
