Early November Travelers! For those arriving Nov 1 ~ Nov. 17

Curious about everyones park plans? Here is an initial overview of ours:

ARRIVE @ noon on Tue 11/6; stay 1st night at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Trying to do Wanyama Safari tour - begins @ 4pm; arriving by ME @ AKL by 2 should allow time to check-in, unpack before meeting group @ 3:45. Tour last 1.5 hrs then goes to Jiko for meal. Should be done 8pm and relaxing with a view over the Arusha - ahhhh.

7th-Wed: Boma breakfast, check-out & request Luggage Services to move to POP (room only); board bus to AK for a leisurely day; HS tonight for F! Room by 9?

8th-Thu: Pretty much ONLY full day for EPCOT since it will be packed through MONDAY with locals attending last weekend of F&WF. Break mid-day, back for ILLUMINATIONS; moderate night, room by 11?

9th-Fri: NO PARK - DTD for shoppping & lunch; 1st MVMCP tonight; room by midnite or 1am?

10th-Sat: HS (maybe) @ 8 just for TSM, but probably sleep in & head to AK from lunch thru parade; Break; then
-either- Cirque @ 6 & MK late night rides (then MSEP/WISHES Tues);
-or- MK for MSEP & WISHES (then CIRQUE Tues); room by 11:30?

11th-Sun: MK for KTTK tour; Break; HS for Osbourne Lights; early night after a couple of LATE ones; OR skip KTTK, do MK day / HS evening, early night.

12th-Mon: No parks; either Back Stage Magic all day tour (if this WON'T do KTTK yesterday) -OR- ride buses, monorails, boats to tour various resorts; Victoria & Albert's or Queen Victoria's room @ 5pm; room by 9:30 or 10 depending on meal.

13th-Tue: EP for Segway tour thru lunch; then either Cirque or MSEP, whichever didn't do Saturday.

14th-Wed: our flight does not leave until 6:30pm, so we need to be at POP by 3:30 for Magical Express, leaving our entire morning free for pair touring. Choices are EPCOT or HS. MIGHT do Segway today instead of yesterday, or HS morning & nice lunch.

Opinions? Suggestions? Comments?

Did you book with free dining? It starts the 9th so you can do a room only for the 8th. Sorry if you already know about it, just making sure you get a discount!

No, we're only staying 4 nights - so no free dining for now. I'm actually keeping my fingers crossed for a resort-only discount, or a resort discount pin code. BUT, if we got a pin code for free dining, we'd certainly take it!

Even though Disney shows 6 nights for their examples, free dining only requires a minimum of 3 nights and 2 days of park tickets. Since free dining starts on 11/9, you can book it a one night room for 11/8 and then book a package for the other 3 nights with free dining. Hope that helps!

Good to know!! I'll call today and ask about doing this - thanks!

2ofus...you have so much to do!!! I love that you are taking some tours! We haven't done much of that since the requirement age is older than our younger kids right now...I know when they are old enough they will really enjoy doing some different things like that!
The one tour we all did as a family---for those of you with younger kids---was the Behind the Seeds at the Land...it was fabulous!!!

So I have a countdown widget on my computer that I check occasionally. I checked it this morning and...I only have 100 days left!!!! I had no idea I was that close to double digits! :cool1: I still have about 3 days left to plan though, and I have no idea what to do with them :scared:! I don't know if I should just leave them open, or if I should try and plan something for them :confused3 I hope everyone's planning has been going well! :goodvibes

do you want to share your itinerary with us? Or tell us what you kinda have planned so far...if you don't want to put where you will be at specific times..

Silverhaze...I just noticed that you are going to the AK several times...is that your favorite park? Just curious--I know some people reeaaaally love it and others hate it.
I think for one of your undecided days, maybe take another tour--or do the Lunch with an Imagineer at Hollywood Studios. My hubby has done it a couple of times and he really enjoyed it.
Or y'all could have a message day and just hang out by the pool or mono to different resorts and eat a nice dinner. For me, at least 2 of those slow afternoons would be with me doing laundry and hanging out by the quiet pools close to the facility.
you have a lot of days to fill and I think you have planned really well! It's nice to have a few days open in case you just want to do something on a whim!

pixie~ are you western, or Eastern La? I am close to West La....I think your days look great!! Is this y'alls first MVMCP? you are going to LOVE it!!!!

I'm more central, between BR & LC. It is our 1st MVMCP, we did MNSSHP in 2009 and LOVED it!

well, we aren't too far apart! Not in Texas terms anyway! LOL!! a couple of years ago we saw all 7 of the Dwarfs at MVMCP for meet and greet...it was an awesome little area with buckets of "jewels" they had mined! only time I have ever seen them all together outside of a parade....maybe you will get to see that this year...

Thanks so much for letting me telling you about my plans! I am taking my DD36(!) for a mom-daughter trip. I have taken the grandkids before, but wasnt able to take her when she was little. Excited to go back to WDW, my happy place, and happy to get to spend some fun time with DD. She lives in IN and I live in WA, so we dont get to spend lots of time together.
If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them, please!
We will meet at the airport in Orlando Nov 1. Our landing times are only about 30 min apart. We will head to ME and take off for POP. I havent stayed there before, but seems like it has a lot of fans. Couldnt afford the extra cost to stay at CBR this time. That is ok! Since it will be late evening before we are able to check in, we may or may not catch the bus to head to MK for Wishes. Friday morning, we will head to MK, and have ADR for Liberty Tree which reading these Dis boards has convinced me that I will enjoy. That park closes at 7pm for MNSSHP. Guess we will head back to the resort for a swim and an earlier bedtime. Does anyone think we might want to get MNSSHP tickets??Saturday, 11/3 we will go to AK, and I will pretend to be brave and ride Everest. My daughter bungee jumps, ziplines, etc, so it wont faze her. Hope my screaming doesnt bother her. I guess we will watch the Jammin' Jungle parade...I have never bothered to see it, I am ashamed to admit. Than will park hop to MK to see Wishes if we dont see it our first night.
Sunday, 11/4 we will go to DHS (known as MGM to me, and I resist the name change!) We have an ADR for 50's Primetime, and I hope we get a real role player for our wait-person. Was there once, and the food was pretty good, and the waitresss was lots of fun. Will stay for Fantasmic.
Monday 11/5 is Epcot world showcase. I looooove Epcot! We can eat our way around the world at the F&W festival. I have an ADR for Le Cellier just in case, but may cancel that. We can stay for Illuminations, or have other chances to see it.
Tuesday 11/6 is back to AK, if we feel there is more to see, or we may resort hop. Loved taking the boat from MK to see some other resorts once. Hope some of the Christmas decorations are already up.

Lost internet connection, just as I finished the post! so, this is PART 2
Wednesday 11/7 will be back to Epcot, this time for Futureworld. No idea where to eat there...will miss Test Track:(
Thursday 11/8 is back to Epcot for F&W fest again. Its my favorite park and I hope my DD enjoys it too! I will bribe her with a margarita in mexico!
Friday is our last full day. We will take a leisurely morning, then go to MK, and then take an afternoon break before heading back for MVMCP! I love Christmas!
The next morning, the dreaded last day, we will check out, leave our luggage at POP and go to MGM (sounds better that way, huh?) and spend a few hours before hopping on ME to fly home. Love to make that the departure day park, as it is, to me anyway, a more laid back park. By then we have seen it/done it so we can just people watch and stroll around leisurely.
This is the 3rd version of the itinerary I have made...I researched daily park crowds on Easywdw.com, and his suggestions about what parks would be busy which days made sense.
Anyone have any suggestions for changes or ideas for other things we might want to try??? Would love to hear them! Thanks for reading, if you did!!!
104 days to go!!!!
