D~
Just a very short note to say how much I admire you. You worked VERY hard to make this trip a reality. I admire how much time you spent creating and recreating things you made whether they were AG clothes, park bags, clothing, or assorted this'n'thats.
We followed you through adventures including a trip to the Netherlands, creating your sewing room, elephant pincushions, buying a new vehicle, a brief interlude at the lake, garage demolition, vintage sewing machines, painting crosswalks, movies in the moonlight, holidays at Target, buying sofas, Saturday school, DH's surgery, and the final journey of your beloved Rufus.
How you find time to post on so many other threads with an encouraging word and helpful links is beyond me.
It's hard to believe that your trip is beginning Day 8. I absolutely hope that your remaining time at Disney is a special time with your daughters and that you have a chance to reflect on all that YOU did to make it happen.
<------me, who really admires
Cheryl, I just don't even know what to say. I was almost crying last night when I read this post. Thank you for making me remember some of the highlights of this last year, and thank you for reminding me to take the time to enjoy these last few days. You have such a way with words.
Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders!
Infected??? I have not heard of that one! Sorry it is so painful. I hope it gets better quickly.
I am rotf
about the turning 40 comment! I cross over in November (hence our next trip) and just noticed this week that I'm having trouble reading small print! I was fine last week. . .what am I taking for granted right now that I'll be whining over tomorrow????
Here's to a new decade. . .let's make the most of it!
I know... I am not even close to 40 - I still have another (ahem) 4 years to go, and I have aches and pains everywhere...
So glad we got to meet today! Your girls are adorable too. My DH chuckled about V on the bus back to the resort and said we will have to check out that movie now. Have a great time tomorrow and the rest of your time here!
I was so glad we got to meet too - it was so much fun! I totally loved your shirts too!
I am going to have to watch that movie, as well... Then we can all point at your DH! LOL I hope you have a wonderful rest of your vacation and you are able to see and do everything you plan to - also a safe trip home.
I have finally caught up on your PTR!! It has taken me months, but I have enjoyed it. So glad you are off enjoying a much deserved awesome trip to Disney with your girls! I just wanted to tell you how much I admire you for setting your goal for this trip and working so hard making your beautiful AG clothes and bags to pay for this trip! What a phenomenal role model you are to your daughters- showing them that when they want something they must work to get it. I have my own photo business and will be setting my own goals to fund our next trip to WDW. I also wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your sweet Rufus. I have had to put down 2 of my own dogs and it is heartbreaking. But please know that what you did was the best for him and that he knew how much he was loved. I will be looking forward to your TR- can't wait to hear what you got picked to do! And also will be ordering my own park bag for our next trip!! Blessings to you and your family!!
Thank you.
How awesome that you are earning your way to Disney as well.
And thank you about Rufus... We've been reflecting a lot on his life over these last few days, and I am pretty sure that it will really hit the girls when we get home - and it just makes me so sad. Sometimes when I close my eyes, I think of our sweet Ruf and I can just see him so clearly - it's still so hard to think he is no longer with us. It just breaks my heart.
I am still not sure when to start my TR??? I'd like to wait until our PHotopass pictures come back, but then again, I'd like to get started right away. I've been journaling our entire trip, but I've been a slacker the last two days and I need to get back to it, while it's still fresh in my mind.
Today the girls and I are headed to AK... the park opens at 8am
and I definately could have slept another 3 or 4 hours.
We plan to ride the Safari and EE again. We have a lunch adr scheduled for TH with Donald (sort of)... ANd then I think we are going to spend the rest of the day wandering.
