I've heard great things about BWI CL Next on list for DH and I. DN and her DH don't like so we'll do it not on one of our Aug trips with them but a solo for us.

Once you stay there it's going to be hard staying Club Level at another WDW Deluxe Resort, because their Cast Members are one major reason why we are having our third stay over there.

You know, just seeing your son with that big smile on his face putting his head closer to his sister's, just reminds me of my two kids ... the age difference is the same, my DS was almost 7 when my DD was born. Your DS looks like such a great, proud big brother and your munchin is so cute.

These ladies (and gent!) followed me through the veryyyy long last couple of months of my pregnancy until the princess decided to make her entrance to the world 9 days late. Have I mentioned that she's very strong willed? I feel like just yesterday DS was this small and now he's my adorable pain in the neck 7 year old. When the heck did that happen?!

HAHAHA. No, I haven't changed. What a great view - thanks! and I love those boat horns, too. When Carl was streaming live from the Poly, I got excited whenever the boats would leave the dock and I could hear their horn. Silly, huh? I also love hearing the train whistle and watching the monorail glide by. Come to think of it, I don't recall hearing any of those sounds from the YC. That's another reason I just love the MK resort area

Before DH left for work this AM, I told him that we leave two weeks from today. He then asked if he could hang-out in the Poly lounge and have a beer sometimes during the day and then he asked, "We are still staying at the Poly, right?" I told him I hadn't changed anything for over a month (that's like a year in Resort Changers' time). I told him that I checked and the WL/CL is still available which means if we need to switch from the Poly after check-in, we should be able to move right over to the WL. See, I've got my back-up plan

Glad to see you're sticking to the plan! He'll like the Poly CL...it's pretty empty during the middle of the day, so he'll be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful view.

We have said numerous times that we're going to try BC/YC...never happens! We keep going back to MK resorts...they keep drawing me in.

And glad you have a back-up plan!!!...a true Disney planner! Hopefully you won't have to resort to that...no pun intended

I changed the CR reservation to WL/CL. I never thought I'd change the CR, but I got to thinking (we RCs do that sometimes) that I keep trying to change the second half of our split, but never really contemplated the first half since DH loves the CR so much.

But, by changing the CR to WL/CL we get to stay at his second favorite resort, we don't have to change the Poly reservation (again) and we can stay CL for the same price we were booked non-CL in the Tower. This works great since DD didn't want to change from the Poly anyway, and she's "more tired" of the CR than the WL and loved CL there so she was all for it.

So everyone's happy (including DH - he's so patient), the ticker's changed and I feel relieved that my number hasn't yet been blocked by the WDTC "Resort Reservation Changes" line. Oh, my CM tonight was "Lavender." The only Disney connection to Lavender I could find was a lullaby

Remember about a month ago when I mentioned how the WDW website was messed up on my computer with their current August - October room only discount, because it was showing me the rates with a Magic Your Way Package. Well tonight I tried it again and it was fixed because the rooms were finally coming up as a room only discount. Anyway for the dates we are staying at the Beach Club in a Lagoon View - Club Level room, I decided to see what was available at the Grand Floridian. For those who are wondering the dates are 08/31/11 - 09/04/11. Well their Club Level rooms in Sugar Loaf were available and those are actually more expensive, so knowing that fact I feel even more better having picked the Beach Club.

I also saw that Royal Palm was available during that time. However we all know it's those are the most expensive room rates among the Club Level rooms no matter the resort, although with a room only discount it's better then the rack rate.

I have a question for you AP people...do you find that the room discount is better than what WDW offers to the general public? I guess I'm wondering if there is ALWAYS a discount for APs all year long?

As far as AP's go, it used to be that the AP discounts were released before the GP discounts, so you could get a great room rate earlier than the GP. But now, they are released after the GP discounts, the room pool is the same (minus the rooms that were snatched up during the GP release) and the savings are just a few dollars. Literally a few dollars. I saved $6.00 booking using my AP for DSIL.

So the AP is now only worth it IMO if you go multiple times a year and are staying for more than 10 days. That's where you find a savings over the regular ticket rate. You also get discounts on merchandise at the DTD stores and the regular park stores though.

In response to the AP question, this is my first experience with having an AP this year so hopefully the other long time AP holders will answer. Overall I don't think they have been much better than the GP rates. What was frustrating to me was the wait for this summer rates. I was waiting and waiting for those codes to be released for when I'm going in mid-August .... and it was just released last week .... 6 weeks out from my trip. I rented points and was glad I did.

No. I sure wish there was a year-round discount rate. I have FL Resident, AP, and, of course, bounceback rates available at some point during the year. FL Res and AP are similar on dates available and release dates. I will usually book 2-3 trips with my bounceback since it is the best.

I, too, have some RC news. Our change from CBR Pref to POR Pref is finalized. So we are back to our mod weekend home-away-from-home after all. It has been years since we've stayed at a Mod for anything longer than a weekend. But it will be just fine this time and we'll have a blast... especially since we know it is for a good cause. I suppose I can cancel my YC ressie once and for all now? With a nice 40% off BB and only $75.00 per night difference YC to POR, it is hard to do.

Last Space Shuttle liftoff today. We've gone to the last 10+ and we thoroughly enjoy them. We plan to go, but Friday weather looks poor.

I am completely and totally shocked!!! For real!!!! No CR?? Are you going to have withdrawals? On a serious note, you did the right thing for your family. The WL is a beautiful resort. I didn't realize that WL CL would be around the same price as a Tower room....interesting. I'll have to compare prices for future trips. The only problem...we have a family of 5...I wonder if we could sneak Jesse in...maybe in a suitcase??....Okay, just kidding! I'll be anxious to hear your thoughts on CL! Make sure you take notes

Thanks! We have friends that live in the Orlando area....the husband works at Disney VERY part time in order to get discounts. His wife if running the Princess Half with me, so they'll be getting us rooms for that weekend. I'm kinda anxious to see where they want to stay!

WOW! Have you stayed at POR before? That's one of the places on the list of the host resorts for the Princess Half. Our friends really like it...we'll see if that's what they want to do.

I agree about RPC. It is hugely expensive, but IMO worth it. Funny to say, but even with the prices on a discount, it's a good value for the money.

Sounds like my DS10...or better yet, the 5 year old who liked telling people last year that we were staying at the "Poly CL"....the non-Disney people would stare at her with confused looks and ask...'What's that?' DH said we should have started off staying at the values and everything would have been fine...when you start off with Deluxe, it's hard to go back. The year we were staying at POP Century and I was lucky enough to get upgraded to OKW, my DD said, "Mom I really want to stay at POP, not this OKW place". I told her there was no way I was turning down an upgrade (to a 1 bedroom) for the POP (no matter how much I love POP). And, when we checked in and got to the room, we discovered we got a 2 BEDROOM!! Amazing pixie dust!!

Kaffinito: I'm staying in a studio at Kidani. I'm waitlisted for the last night, but do have a studio at Jambo. My dates are 8/16 to 8/22 (flying out in the evening).

Thanks!!! It's DS 6 and I at GF Club Level Outer Lodge (SL) Sept 24-29 with DDP.

My original package included one day base tickets and was $2458.35. Now that they changed it and removed the tickets it's $2435.35. That's only a $23 difference. This is driving my OCD INSANE! I had the adding machine tape flying at work last night as I punched away feverishly trying to figure out the discrepancy.
