In life, every milestone seems like the biggest event that will ever happen to you- learning to ride a bike, winning a championship, graduating high school, turning 21, getting married. But you come to realize that the most amazing, important, life changing event is the birth of a child. Every parents hope is to have a healthy baby. You hear people say 'I counted ten fingers and ten toes' but sometimes even that isn't important. So when we found out at age 1 that our daughter, Juliana, had cancer, our life changed again.
While this trip only spans 7 days, we witnessed magic that wasn't confined to the walls of Disney. We saw miracles of life. We also saw and heard stories of kids still fighting battles- fighting to survive.
This TR is about my daughters MAW (Make-A-Wish) trip to Disney. We have been to Disney a few times in the past but this trip was a little different. It was about the celebration of life.
I guess I should tell you who went on this trip.....
First, we have the princess-
Juliana is 4 years old. She loves princesses, butterflies, and the color pink!
Next my wonderful wife-
Melody is the most loving caring woman I have ever known. She loves Disney and tried to drag me there before we were married but I was stubborn and refused. LOL
Then there is me-
I'm Tim. I love my 2 girls and would do anything for them. I have turned into the DISNEY addict of the family. It all happened the first time I walked into the Magic Kingdom with my girls. Here I am standing with an infamous Dole Whip..... spoiler alert!!!!!!!!! I didn't even have one this trip.
Up next.... a little history of why Juliana was granted a trip from Make A Wish.
