Of course the last special ended 10 days before we arrived, and the new special starts 3 days after we return....oh poo! Guess we'll just have to fit something in between!!
Cheshire Figment you are such a wonderful source of information!
I have a question: my father is retired Navy and is eligible for this promotion, however, he has no plans to visit the World in 2011. On the other hand I do!
It sounds like he can purchase a ticket for me at our local base. My question is, does he need to be present at WDW with me to exchange the voucher?
Thanks so much!
Melissa
If it is like previous military offers the service member will have to be present at WDW to activate the tickets.
Soirry but to activate the tickets it requires the physical presence of the service member with ID or a person whose DD1173 says "Spouse" or "Unremarried Widow".Cheshire Figment you are such a wonderful source of information!

The service member may purchase and activate no more than six tickets during the period. Can a service member and family member use this offer more than once? I mean for two separate visits (say once in Dec and once in summer?). Or is it one ticket per recorded name?
We have (for the 2009 and 2010 programs) recorded name, birth date and base. To be able to easily replace lost tickets we now record full demographics.Does the single purchase thing apply? I know in the past each service member was only allotted a single transaction where they could buy up to 6 tickets. I see that there's a case with the service member getting his ticket later, but what about the others? I see that they're recording identifying data. I don't know if they've done that before.

There is no restriction, so thay could have three trips of two tickets each or whatever. Just that they cannot exceed a total of six tickets.
Just a word to the wise. If you have a locall ITT office, you will save a lot of time buying your tickets there instead of SoG.
Last year it took over 90 minutes to get tickets at SoG. Seemed as if everybody had to have everything explained to them repeatedly. They also shut down one of the windows about 45minutes into our wait.

My dad is retired Air Force and we're leaving in 14 days. So excited by this news that my hands are shaking a little. We've not been able to go as a family since 2007 so we've missed that last few special deals for the military and were assuming we'd pay full price this time.
Can one take advantage of the offer at *both* Disney World and Disneyland (6 tickets at each place)? Or is it an either or thing? We are considering taking a trip out to CA next summer, but have already planned a trip to WDW in January.
