Just to be clear, *none* of the MYO items can be purchased with snack credits. Very disappointing.

I think the marshmallows can still be used as a snack credit.

Yeah, that's just ridiculous!

I got a crisped rice Mickey dipped in dark chocolate, covered in cinnamon sugar, then drizzled with dark chocolate and it cost me $4.95 plus tax. I think it depends on how many toppings you get.

I don't recall seeing the DDP symbol next to the MYO marshmellows and they were also $4.95.

The 3 pretzle rods start at $8.95.

errg! I was throwing out receipts last night and noticed I was charged $1.00 for an extra topping that I did not receive. I got a rice crispy dipped in milk choc, covered with crushed oreos, and a white choc drizzle.

I noticed that when I got home, too. I wonder if you only get two now.

That's crazy! They must have just changed the prices again. When we were there in mid-Sept. the marshmallows were $2.95 (I think) and a snack credit. The pretzel rods were $5.95, and not a snack, but we bought them out of pocket. $8.95 is CRAZY for those!

I didn't read to see if it's been added, but the new Karamel Kuche in Germany offers snack credits.

The small caramel corn is a snack credit
The chocolate or vanilla caramel cupcakes are snack credits

I saw the price and I'm sure I made this face: :scared:

They had some pre-made pretzels for $3.95 per stick. Again: :scared:

Question - do you print the list and keep it with you or just study it before you go? I know I won't remember it all! :)

I go through the list before I go and make a list of the locations and snacks that I think we would use credits for at each park. For instance, at Epcot we like waffle cones at Fountain View, samples at the Food & Wine festival, nuts at the nut cart, pastries in Norway, etc. I usually put together a one page cheat sheet. One side has our schedules - which park, park hours, table service reservations, parades/fireworks, how many CS credits we will likely use, etc. The other side has a short cheat sheet for each park - PhotoPass locations (especially Magic PhotoPasses), best counter service deals, best snack deals, FastPass rides, etc.

So...is it confirmed now that the ice cream sandwich at MS Bakery are no longer a snack credit? I'm finally updating the OP

I went back to work full time last month:sad2: this is only my 3rd time on the boards since I started. I miss the DIS.

Well, congrats on working full time. Nice to have more money but it's annoying how work can cut into your disboards time isn't it?;) When I worked for the census it really cut into my time on the boards!:rotfl:

Glad to see you're still around. Thanks again for the list. It's awesome and I know how much work it is to get something like this going. :grouphug:

I have actually created my own "pocket guide" that I take with me. It is printed on a regular 8.5x11 piece of paper and folded into a small booklet the size of a credit card. I usually update this before any trip I take. It includes all of the snacks for the locations we will likely visit (including parks, resorts, etc.) and I leave out the places we are NOT likely to visit. (We don't go to Downtown Disney, for example, so I don't include these locations.) If you PM me, I'll be happy to forward a copy to you. since it is so small, I keep it with my park ticket and fast passes for easy reference.

This DIS Board list has been a godsend for us, as we like to squeeze as much value as we can from our dining plan.

Thanks for all the work that is being done to keep this updated !!

Good morning dis'ers, maybe a dumb question but I was just wondering, when choosing a childs snack, can they choose any thing that an adult can on the ddp or are they restricted to certain things?

You can choose anything on the list for a child (just as you would for an adult). You receive a "bank" of snack credits. Once they are gone, they are gone.

We always find that we have never used up all of our snack credits by the end of our trip, so we stop by the Main Street Bakery (or similar location) before we leave the park to head for the airport. Any remaining snack credits are traded in for cinnamon rolls, rice krispy mickey heads (gifts for friends of our kids or the kid who gets our mail, etc.) FUDGE, etc.

We do the same with any remaining Counter Meals. (They will wrap things "to go" for you if you ask and then they can be eaten on the way airport.)

DON'T LEAVE ANY CREDITS ON THE "CARD" !!!

That's not a dumb question at all :thumbsup2 I know this because I asked it once :rotfl: There is no difference in the snacks between child and adult. They can get anything you can! :cheer2:
