Back to bed for me!! :surfweb:

Oh yes. Did you get what you wanted at Palo?

I got Palo for dinner and brunch one the sea days. Dinner on Thursday night and Brunch on the Monday,at 11:30. I really wanted dinner on the Formal night but, couldn't get it. This way Brian will have to wear a jacket both nights, but then again I get nice pictures 2 night. I might try to see if we can flip them when we get on board.

After my last experience on the Jet Skis, there's no way i'm going on again. :)
Even If I would be driving and not have my husb flipping me over in the middle of the ocean. It was a lot of fun and i'm glad we went but, once was enough.

Did you end up booking a brunch?

I woke up made the ressies and went right back to sleep!!!

:rotfl: Really wish I had SEEN that! I looked over your way once you were back up on the thing! You sure, even if you do the driving? I know I lagged SO FAR behind everyone else, and got stuck in the seaweed once and on the sand bar once, but I did much better on the way back :) I think Daniel would love it. I'm also taking the camera this time, I WANT PICTURES to prove I was actually on THAT THING! I'd love for DH to come, but then again, he drives probably a lot like Brian, Sooooo, no thanks!

SO, for the Group Palo Brunch on the Thursday, how's that going to work? It wouldn't appear that many of us last night were able to get the right day or the right time or both. I did book one though. Do we have the big room booked? Is there already the maximum confirmed for that room? What are the chances of still getting in on it? :)

Well, I got everything I really wanted. I could not get Brunch or High Tea, but those weren't high on my priority list, so I did not go after those ressies first. I may try again to get brunch either at the 75 mark or when we get on board.

I tried to get into the reservation system again this morning just to poke around (and possibly book another spa treatment!), but it kept saying they were having a problem with that part of the system. No shock there! I didn't have trouble getting in last night, but the system was SLOW to say the least.

So, we have the Exotic Rasul on 11/1, Palo Dinner on 11/4 and we booked the Dolphin Encounter and Turtle Farm for our Grand Cayman Day.....this was the ressie I wanted to make the most because I knew it was something DD would love to do, so I am happy that I am going to make it happen for her. :cloud9:

I'm hoping you experienced cruisers can walk me through the steps of how you book the extras. It was really fun to watch the posts flying last night around midnight. Some good advice was given to people who got "stuck."

So...on day 75 at midnight I know about logging onto the DCL website. I assume you go through the steps to retrieve the reservation. I do that all the time to see if my 5GTY status has changed to a room number. So I know how to get into my ressie. But what do you click to start booking the extras? Iis there some link that you have to find and click -- is it called "port adventures" or is that something different? And then when you find something you want, do you click it? Do you then confirm it or do you have to wait until you've found everything you want and then confirm everything? I watched the posts around midnight last night and someone was having trouble figuring out how to confirm their ressies. Is it best to confirm things one at a time? If so, each time you confirm something does it mean that you are done so you have to log back on to book something else? And do you have to input your credit card to pay for everything right there and then? Hope these queries make sense.

Confirm each activitiy right after you select it. It is an easy process as long as the website does not lock up! You do not pay for the excusion or acativity until you do it. You will pay for it while you are on board. You can not access the poage until your booking window opens. To give more detailed direction I will need to go back and do it again.

For all those who were unable to get what they wanted. Do spend some time checking and rechecking. Each and everyday. You never know when somebody will change their mind about something and cancle making it possible to pick up something you want. Please do not wait till the 75 day mark as you may miss out. If this dose not work the HIT the Rockin D on the first day to see if you can get in. Ask to be placed on a wait list. It may not be the time or day you want but there are times when that works out better than what we thought we wanted. Do not give up and if it doesn't work remember that you can always book another cruise for your future!

I kind of need to hear from everyone who said they were going and see what times we all got. There were too many of us to fit in the private room if all who wanted to book brunch at 11 got in. DCL has us down as wanting the room, but they don't book it until a month before- so I will call and see what they suggest. It may be that we have a bunch at one time and a bunch at another time- so I'll ask what we should do. But I need hear from everyone before I do anything, and I believe a lot of brunch peeps were 1st timers, so would not have even booked yet. Confusing, isn't it!

We want to do brunch. We did a group in the private room last cruise and it was great. We got locked out of brunch last night, so we'll take what we can get. Thanks!

Is anyone doing Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Oct. 28? Very Merry Christmas on Nov. 8?

Hey everyone!! I was able to get brunch at Palo on Thursday, but only 11:30 was available. Any other Brunch buddies book that instead like me?

Also have dinner at Palo on Halloween at 8:30- and the room of naughty mud love on monday. :cloud9:

i am printing it out an itinerary from Celebrity right now ( and I have no idea why!!!) but it looks online as though all things are confirmed.

And for all of you who wanted to book High Tea and couldn't get in( like the rest of us), PLEASE don't feel bad- I went last time, and it was nice, but High Tea at GF is 10 THOUSAND% better, please don't feel like you are missing out...just go to GF for tea next time you can go. :)

OK-should probably get some sleep! Pods and I are having a romantic couple of nights in NYC, starting tomorrow, and it would be nice to leave before noon! :goodvibes Nite nite all:goodvibes

Yes, I could only get 11:30 on Thursday too, and only for DH and I. It shows availability for 5, but every time I go through the process, it says there is an error. Oh well.

We also booked Palo for 8pm on Tuesday, and High Tea for 3pm the same day for myself, MIL and SIL. That was the only time available.

It was worth the 5am wake up call in the end, but right now I am shattered!

We'd like in too, if possible! We're only 2!

Let's see how well I can remember it...;)

First of all, have your DCL confirmation numbers written down next to you or typed in word or notepad or something accessible. If you have more than one reservation /confirmation number, be sure you know which adult goes with which, since you have to put the corresponding date of birth (most folks will not have 2 numbers, but we did since we had two rooms) and if you put the wrong DOB in it will kick out and make you try again.

What I did was log in at about 11:50 just to make sure I could get in, had the correct numbers etc. Once in I poked around to find exactly where I needed to go, which is under the Cruise Plans tab over to the left. Before your booking window opens it says something (I believe in red or italics in reference to not being able to book at this time.)

Log yourself all the way out and back to the page where you enter your login info. Have it all typed in and hover over the login button, and click it as soon as the clock turns 12. Be sure you use a clock that is very accurate. I used the one on my cable box and it has served me well over the past 4 cruises, but if you do not have cable I would suggest having an online clock open in another browser window. You will lose precious time if you click too early and have to log out and go back.

Know ahead of time what is most important to you to have. Palo are the most difficult to get, along with certain excursions (Castaway Cay cabana massages and Parasailing the two most desired IIRC) As I have mentioned previously, High Tea goes first, (was already not available when I logged in) then Brunch, then dinners at select times (formal nights are the most popular).

Make your selection for which meal you want (dinner, brunch or tea) and the times will appear with radio buttons to select the reservation time.

Important: IF you have an infant/toddler (under 3 that would be eligible for Flounders Reef) it will give you the option (radio button) to select to book nursery time right then to coincide with your Palo....my advice is DON'T! Unless you have already gone through the registration process and are certain you have completed this-it will hang you up and you will lose time. I did it and while it didn't freeze me up, I did lose some time.

Once you have made your reservation selection and hit the "save" button (not sure what exactly the save or select button says the first time around but it is at the bottom), a screen will pop up showing an overview of your cruise by day and your newly booked reservation will show as listed under the day you have selected. It will say unconfirmed (in red or italics). This is where it is very imoprtant to hit "SAVE ITINERARY" button at the bottom. You do not officially have the reservation until you hit this button. While technically you could book multiple reservations prior to "saving your itinerary" I strongly recommend you save after each selection to ensure you have reserved it. Until it is "confirmed" you can lose it out from under you (either the whole reservation or the party size availability may shrink) and I believe that did happen last night to someone.

Once you have completed the process for your most coveted reservation, go back and do it all over again for your next most important selection.

For those doing Flounders...save it to the end. It was never hard to get Flounders when we needed it on our last cruise and they will go above and beyond to make sure your Palo, Spa hours etc. are covered. Also very important! While Flounders shows availability for all hours on all days, we found that once onboard they actually closed for several hours each afternoon. This really messed us up on our Captain Marvins excursion last time (and was ultimately the deciding factor to go ahead and bring her along with us this time.)..so just an FYI for those of you out there with the little ones.

Hope that is helpful! :goodvibes

I'm not sure anymore if we will be doing MNSSHP, we were gong to do the 28th. But when the Yo Gabba Gabba live tour dates came out and it is in Kissimmee on the 29th (Fri) I'm not sure anymore we want to cram that much into the couple of days before the cruise. At this point we don't have tickets to either so I'm not sure which direction we will end up going but we are leaning towards the YGG cause Sarah is a freak for that show! LOL!
