Worst Attractions or ideas ever...

Changing the TTA soundtrack!!! BRING IT BACK!!! Mr. Tom Morrow, your party from Saturn has arrived, please give him a ring!:thumbsup2

For a brief time back in 2003/2004 I think it was, Disney would bring a "bus" load of characters in to the resort lobbies. They would stop at different resorts on different days. Usually first thing in the morning. It didn't last long. It seemed like a terrible idea at the time and we never had anything to do with it as we were child free at that point, but I can see now how it may have been nice.

At one point Epcot had a Character Bus that would go around World Showcase and stop in various countries - the characters would get off and visit then all get back on the bus at the same time and go to the next stop. Character meet and greets used to be a much less organized thing. I'm not sure if I would say it was a simpler time or just that it seemed less formulary as it does now. But with crowds what they are and for fairness sake there isn't much alternative to the way they do it now.

There was one fall when MK tried some kind of character playtime in the mornings in Fantasyland. It was when they had their little preschool deal going in 2005/2006 maybe. The characters would just wander around and try to "play" with the kids, but too many people wanted pictures and would get frustrated when the characters wouldn't just be still and pose. It was another horrible fiasco that didn't last very long. I remember PP and Wendry trying to get some kids to hold hands and follow along and the parents trying to get the to stand still and pose - when PP and Wendy would keep going - it got ugly.

Oh wait - the DDP when tip was included!!!! Still not a fan of the DDP, but at least servers have to try a little bit!

I didn't have any complaints with my servers when the tip was included in the DDP. :confused3.

In fact, my service was a little worse this past time, especially at Crystal Palace.

We had poor service a Crystal Palace as well.

ok - I have another Worst Attraction that tops them all.

Stitch Live - The stage show. It only lasted about a month.

Oh the original sound attraction was the movie with Chevy Chase and MArtin Short, CC was the insurance salesman and MS kept trying to "get him" and his traps kept backfiring....THAT was cool, Sounds Dangerous is weak.

That's it! It was called the Monster Sound Show. Too bad it is gone now. The interactivity was what made it great.

One of the worst ideas has to have been trying (vainly) to disguise a slapdash, lifeless Audio Animatronic attraction, the Great Movie Ride, by forcing Cast Members to do schtick.

Poor service can happen anywhere anytime, but we had mutilple horrible experiences during the times tips were included. Coral Reef was notorious for being rude for a time. Servers had no incentive. Party size gets us now - usually at least a party of 6 so our tip is always automatic. Rarely have we ever felt the urge to tip above it.

I think the HS park really could use some overhaul to some degree.....for every
Star Tour, TSM, TOT, RRC
there is a Sounds Dangerous, Narnia, American Idol

They should bring back the TV Studio thing,I only saw that once.
Now I beleive that building isn't used for anything.

The Great Movie ride needs to be updated. I mean, "Alien" was a big movie in its time, but wasn't it a hit like 30 years ago- how are kids supposed to know it? (Yes, "Wizard of Oz" is older, but that's a classic.) They did add Cap'n Jack Sparrow to the end montage, but it's not enough. And to think, this ride was the SIGNATURE attraction when the park opened! Now it's just cheesy and tired.

I like the Great Movie Ride....but it did break down last year when I was on it.:rotfl:

Stitch's Great Escape. It's the worst! I can't believe it when I see people lined up to get into it. Also the Narnia thing at HS. we waited for EVER with the wrong impression of what was going to happen. It was SORT of cool but not cool enough to wait as long as we did. Or to ever to do it again.

'In space, no one can hear you scream'--classic
