I have never been to Myrtle Beach and have always wanted to go. What is the "10 for 50?"

Not that one...the other one that says 98 days...:rolleyes1...it red X out sometimes...but it is one of the WDW Name Badges.

CSR Sept 4-12...Sept 4 is my B-Day. :cool1:

10 for 50 is 10 people (my 4...brother's 4...parents)...For my parents 50th Anniversary.:thumbsup2

Could someone tell me the pros and cons of Casita #4 ?

Best views of Casita #4 ?

Which floor is the best in Casita #4 ?
How is the 1st floor ?

Our reasons for Casita #4
:goodvibesIt is only .24 miles away from El Centro (the food court and gift shop) - which is the length of the street we live on - not a bad walk at all
:goodvibes It is very close to bus stop #1 , the first bus stop to MK, AL, DHS & EPCOT
:goodvibes It is close to the Casita quiet pool (largest on WDW property) and the Casita laundry.

How far is it a walk to the main pool (Dig Site) from Casita #4 ?

How did you get 9B? Are you with a group? Do you have club privileges? Not to be nosy!

Hi Ozziewags, no club privleges & the room assignment was a lucky one given after a bad start with Casitas building #2 floor 4 which was not a great location for me personally. :flower3:
Hey there "Daisy"! I didn't know you had a trip planned!

How's it going?

I just put in a request for the Cabanas section, but someone told me that the theme park buses pick up the Cabanas last. Have you had any issues with overcrowded buses?

Thanks, and have a great trip!

Kathy

 Hi Kathy!! :littleangel: How are you??
I am lucky enough to be here now (May 25-June 2) & I LOVE the Cabanas.
Like KatMark, I am spoiled by the rental car but have not heard any bus complaints. I think you will enjoy the Cabanas!!:beach:

I've seen you around on several trip reports and we're glad to have you here.

Thanks, Kathy! Hopefully CSR will soon star in an upcoming report! :goodvibes

I had a lovely email from Erin (Daisy) after posting here and was very glad to hear from her!

Casitas 4 is our favorite. We've been on each floorand had views of the quiet pool as well as the lake (we prefer the lake). Just so you know it is NOT Bus Stop #1; it is actually Bus Stop #2 (Bus Stop 1 is at El Centro), but Bus Stop #2 is the first one picked up.

It takes me (over 50) about seven minutes to walk to the Dig Site pool (ten if I stop to take lots of pictures or look for "Ally").

Thanks, Kathy! Hopefully CSR will soon star in an upcoming report! :goodvibes

I'm glad it is helpful and you enjoy the thread. Thanks for saying hi.

We were at CSR from May 19 to the 22nd. This was my second stay there and my DH first. Our rooms was way behind the dig site near bus stop three. I cannot remember what the section was called. However it was far from El Centro and we hardly went there. The room was nice and clean on arrival, however the maid service this time was terrible. She didn't have the rooms cleaned till after 4 on most days On day number 2 she had to come in and make the bed while I was in the shower and just left the towels out on the bed for me. The beds were super cozy! The bus service was slow at times and other times it was great. I had much better service in October, but it didn't ruin our trip. The dig site pool was amazing and was hardly crowded. We went every afternoon and enjoying relaxing. On Friday night there was a crazy party from one of the conventions near El Centro. We walked over to do laundry and I swear it smelt like a beer garden :lmao: There were a lot of drunk people partying it up and they even took over one of the closed quiet pools. We went to work out while we waited for our laundry and saw security get called out to the quite pool as some of the ladies were jumping in the pool in their bras and panties. It was crazy! No biggie to us we were laughing our behinds off, but if I had little ones then it would not have been cool. CSR is still an awesome hotel and one of the best deals out there for an onsite hotel.

I'm going to guess they close around 10 (maybe 11:00). I know I've been in there as late as 9:30 or 9:45 in the past.
It's after 10, I'm pretty sure it's around midnight. I know I had a couple late night visits last trip. (I tend to forget things, so they saw me often :))

We just got back from CSR yesterday. We probably won't stay again. I had read on this board that the bus service was good. Unfortunately, our experience with the bus service was not that great. We also did not like the way the Pepper Market was set up and did not enjoy the food there. We also did not get assigned a room until after the 3:00 check in time although we had been waiting since about noon. We were also given wrong information from the front desk which resulted in an expensive taxi ride. Too many things went wrong for us to consider this resort again.

We were there most of the days that you were. Sorry you had bad maid service. On one of our mornings when we left at 8am she was two doors down from us coming to clean already!! We were in Casitas 3 so I can understand that if you were back by the main pool El Centro would seem very far away. As for the convention boy we saw those people too. I didn't realize stuff would be going on outside and also late at night. In my quick review I had said how loud they were. I was concerned because I was only a building or two away from them. Luckily we couldn't hear it in our room. I had pictured conventions just going on during the day and people in business suits - this sure was some other kind of crazy get together.

I have a question. Does anyone have a picture of the bus stops? Are they like WL and POP? Here they have different places to stand for each bus.

Or is it more like POR? Where there is one place with no line. Then when the a bus pulls up, everyone runs up and there is no rhyme or reason to who gets on the bus.

Can you tell which one I hope it is like???

I hope this makes sense.:confused3

There are no separate lines for each bus but I can tell you that it's not a mad dash for the bus. We were there during a busier time and people just got in a line, sort of in the order they got to the bus stop. Everyone got a seat, too. Of course, we picked the Casitas so that we got on at the first bus stop. But in our 6 days there, only once did someone have to stand.

We were there last week and everyone was orderly at the bus stops. It seems like everyone was there for a different bus. We tried to get on at the first stop too but a couple of times we got on last by el centro. Not once did we ever stand in the morning and in the evening we only stood once. Thought that was really good.

Hi everyone I have decided I want to stay in Casita's I love the look of the buildings they are so beautiful! Another plus is the bus stops here first correct? I am unsure of what building I want however. The most important thing is to be near the Casita bus stop. I would also REALLY enjoy being in a section with really beautiful fountains and courtyard. Also, I have standard view booked right now what would my view most likely be in Casita's a parking lot? Is it possible to have a view of the courtyard with standard view?

:goodvibes
