Unsweetened at both Cafe Rix & Siestas, for mug refills :)

You rock Daisy! I can just picture myself now.... relaxing in a hammock.. reading a good book, sipping my tea out of my refillable mug :) Perhaps with one of my children fetching me refills.. hahahah
Who am I kidding - we're going in August.. I'll be drinking it in my room standing next to the air conditioner! :rotfl:

We also took an afternoon off and enjoyed the Spa. Whereas the ambiance isn't nice like the Poly/Grand's Spa is, it was not horrific, either. We both had a 50-minute massage, and we used the $50 off coupon without difficulty. The massage was nice, albeit way too short ;-)

Can you tell me more about the massage.... I have never had one thought it might be nice to try with the coupon being offered. How much roughly is it? do I have to book it in advance or can I do walkin on a day I have extra time? Any other info that might be useful in helping me decide if a massage is for me.

Thanks

I'm not Matthew, but I can answer part of this. I get a massage every year at the CSR (I also get them at home at our salon every three months or so). I absolutely love them.

Here is a link with the prices: http://www.relaxedyet.com/coronado_springs_resort.asp

I usually get mine midway between the trip as it always makes me feel refreshed (especially feet and legs) for the end of the trip.

I usually book mine about a month out because I usually know when our "downtime" is going to be at the resort. However, a couple of visits ago, I screwed up and went at the wrong time (I had written it down wrong) and they couldn't take me (again...my fault). I was able to reschedule for the next day.

I have to share some sad news this morning. One of my dear friends, who I met here on the Disboards, has lost her battle with Leukemia. There were a group of us and we referred to ourselves as the "DIS Sisters". Some of you may have known Ginny (aaaateamsgrandma) and knew that she was a beautiful kind hearted woman. I would ask that you say a little prayer for her family that they are given the strength to get through this difficult time.

Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear this. Her family and friends are in my prayers.

KatMark my thoughts are with you at this time.

A good friend of mine passed away two years ago who introduced me to the disboards. She had breast cancer. It was a while before I could come back and feel okay enjoying myself again. I still come across things I'd like to share with Julie (RainbowGirl) as I still miss her daily. I think of her everytime I slip on my crocs and sling my bagallini over my shoulder (she introduced me to both of those too) and smile. Hopefully you will find your own way of honouring your friend's life.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

I feel kind of bad asking a question at this point in the thread....

However, can anyone explain the coffee makers in the rooms as CSR? Would they accept the tassimo coffee pods? Does the resort provide filters?

Thanks!

Thank you, all. I appreciate the kind words.

The resort does not provide filters. The coffee is already in one of those prepackaged things where you just place it in the basket.

ok i know this has probably been asked a gazillion times but there are tons of pages here. My question is: At the time when I goto CSR I will have a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old. What is the best room i should request for. We will be going from August 25th to 30th.

I agree with those that said to try to get close to the dig site. As an added note, my DGS was 8 years old when we stayed at CSR. We were staying in the Casitas. One afternoon we took a walking tour around the lake. When we arrived at the Ranchos, he looked around at the dry rustic desert theme with the cactus and said, "I like this area best." Not sure if you have girls or boys, but I think the Ranchos would appeal to many little boys. Make's 'em feel like cowboys maybe? ;)

does anyone have a picture of the 2010 refillable mugs?
Last time we were there we got port orleans but now I hear that they do not have specific resort ones and it is just a new one ever year. Am I correct?

Yes, they are a generic mug. Up until the summer of last year, CSR still had their "own" mug, but pressure had them changing to the generic mug. :sad2:
