You know all the queens are evil, right? Ch. 8 - The one where we keep an ADR.

We had the same problem with online check in this trip. The regular line had a few people in it. We were the only people in online line and there was no one working the desk. After a few minutes I asked if they could get someone to help us. They did and we were done in about 2 minutes.

E-A-G-L-E-S!;)

Wilderness Lodge :cool1:

My mommy works here:thumbsup2

We probably waited about 5 minutes and then we got on the bus. We were practically at the end of our line and the bus left as soon as we were all on although it wasn’t full. It was about half to 2/3 full maybe. This must have been around 10:30 am.

This was NOT the magical express Disney video. Nope, this was “This is It,” that Michael Jackson movie.

:confused3 Weird.

So online check in was a total waste of time.[/QUOTE}

Seems to be a 50/50 split onwether it works or not. Like everything else I think it all depends on the CM's!

So we went to Whispering Canyon Café where we both chose a margarita and bacon cheeseburgers.

Have never been to WCC:confused:

Next: We’re off to the Magic Kingdom! Or are we?

Uh oh, did you not follow the flags?popcorn::

Sorry about the online check-in, things like that are irritating! Lunch sounds yummy with the exception of the brown queso..yuck! Woohoo for heading for the MK..can't wait to see what room you end up with. (Although apparently I will be waiting quite a while..lol, gives me something to look forward to when we get sprung!)

They list no waiting as a perk for online check in and it's not translating to the resort.....no bueno

It's.No.Bueno! Now I want Taco Bueno for lunch. Do you think they have corned beef tacos? :lmao:

As long as the margaritas are good, what else matters?

Seriously, that would annoy me, too - time savers not saving time...

Can't wait to hear more! :thumbsup2

That is true - and the margaritas and burgers were very yummy indeed.

The online check-in worked sweetly for me.
Line to the door at POP!:scared1:
No one in my line!

That's what we were afraid of! Glad it worked out well for you! :)

It was fast once someone came over there. I think it may be hard for the CMs, they can't just have someone standing there all the time if no one is in that line!

Your mom works at WL and you've never been to WCC? You should go, it's actually quite yummy. Go when they first open and you will avoid the screaming and yelling that we heard from there later in the week (there weren't enough people in there when we were there to do the horse races and stuff).

I'm still recovering from the Michael Jackson video. I don't know if his regular DVD got lost or if he just wanted to watch the movie!

Hi Amanda! Don't worry I go pretty slow as you can see! 5 chapters and we haven't hit a park yet!

How strange that the driver didn't play the ME video and what a pain the online check in was, at least y'all ;) had a nice lunch!

Jo, not only are you becoming AMerican...you are becoming southern:lmao:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I did it on purpose because Liz said about it :rotfl2: Plus Jackie from the panel uses y'all all the time and I suppose it's rubbing off a bit, her and Jen even had a big discussion about the right way to spell it :rotfl2:

ou know how it is, it’s your first day and you just want to see/get to Disney! Well when we got on the televisions were off, the driver got on, reported in over the walkie-talkie that he was leaving the airport, but didn’t say anything to us at all - no welcome aboard, no how long it would take. Okay, whatever. Then he puts in a DVD and starts to drive....

And Donna and I both look at each other, back at the video, back at each other and just start laughing. This was NOT the magical express Disney video. Nope, this was “This is It,” that Michael Jackson movie.
Okay, am I the only one who started to wonder if you were on the wrong bus?!:rotfl:

So online check in was a total waste of time.
I hate to say it, but you're not the first to report this at WL. :sad2: I don't understand WDW at all sometimes. :confused3

and then we headed to the dock to take the boat over to MK.

:cloud9: I think that's my favorite part of staying at the WL!

Loving your trip report, CE pointed me over here and I am finally getting around to posting.

Online checkin - I tried it once and the family in forn of me took forever, the regular check in was a very short line, so I don't think it saved anytime. Not sure if I'll do it again.

V - I thought the same thing, wrong bus??? Wow, that is just odd about the DVD.

I have to say I am hooked reading your report. Totally hysterical and can relate to all of it. I just started reading it at the beginning of my lunch and I was so engrossed in it I didn't even realize that I was wearing 1/2 of my lunch on my shirt, bread crumbs everywhere :rotfl2:

That is a total bummer about the ME and not seeing the video. We've seen it numerous times and each time we go I still look forward to it.

Can't wait to see what comes next. Thanks..it is just great

:dance3: Y'all! You even spelled (spelt?) it right! :dance3:

Jo, not only are you becoming AMerican...you are becoming southern:lmao:

The only thing better than being southern is being Texan (cuz it's not the same).:snooty:

It drives me insane when people write ya'll.

It never occurred to me that we were on the wrong bus. :rotfl2: That would have been pretty funny! It did say ME on the outside.

I think the online check in desk is in a bad place at WL. Hard to see from the regular check in desk.

:welcome: Always glad to have new posters! Will probably get the next part up tomorrow or Friday.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:about your lunch. I do that all the time. The dangers of eating and reading, I suppose!

I'm so glad you are all here!

As for the schools, I must have taken your current home for a preference! Has your son heard from UT yet or is it too early?

Got a big fat no from UT. Sounds bad, but it's not. :goodvibes For one it doesn't make sense he would get into one great school and not another, so I'm chalking it up to my prayers before hand. I prayed God would reveal which school my son should go to, and now He has. So, it's official! My son will be an AGGIE!! :yay:

This would have been down right hilarious, you could have blammed it on your snack from the plane. :rotfl:

Hmm, that's a great way to look at it! I think he will LOVE A&M. Maybe we should meet there for a game sometime - I keep telling DH I am going to take him, and this fall is actually my...gulp...20th reunion year! Really it is a great school with a lot of great traditions and I hope he will be very happy there.

GIG 'EM!

:rotfl2: I have this image of us ending up in some bad part of downtown Orlando....

Working on the next section...work has been a little nuts though so we'll see if I get through it!

So, when I left you, we were waiting on the boat dock to go to the MK. Just as a boat started to pull up, my phone went off. What timing! Our room was ready - 3010. I was a little disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to see the fireworks, but we were both glad to be able to unpack before we headed off to a park.

I could have sworn I took a picture of the room, but I can’t find it now. I have been kind of waiting on this report until I get Donna’s pictures, but as she can’t seem to figure out how to copy them, let’s just assume it looked like a room. :)

Here is our view:

The guy brought up our bags and told us we were lucky we had this room because we would be able to see the fireworks. :confused3 I told him I thought we had to be higher, and he said no, that we wouldn’t be able to see the perimeter fireworks but we would be able to see the ones above the castle. :cool1:

We went down and got our mugs and while we were out they delivered these flowers from my husband:

These were really nice because the lilies opened up over the course of the week and they lasted well.

We called to have our groceries brought to us. The food came up right away but there was no wine (we had ordered probably 10 bottles of wine for the room!). I called Garden Grocer and they said they would check and to call them back in a bit. So, by now we’re antsy to hit the park as we know we have dinner at 7:30. Off to the MK we go!

Sorry this is a short one but I have to go tutor - I will try to get more up later!

Next: You’re a Cowboys fan from where?

The flowers are beautiful! What a wonderful surprise.

So now I gotta know, where's the wine?

They were gorgeous. We wanted to know where the wine was too! At first I thought WL had lost it, but they assured us it never came and it wasn't listed on the receipt.

aww what a wonderful surprise from the hubby!

He's a keeper. He did good this year to make up for forgetting Valentine's Day last year (our first year of being married!)

They forgot the wine!?! :scared1:

With us, they would have done better to forget the food. :rotfl2: I suspected at the time that it had something to do with my request that they give me a price on the wine before charging my credit card, which they couldn't do when I ordered it on the phone or when they called to confirm a couple days before hand.

10 bottles:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Actually, I think it was 11. Question is did we ever get them? ;)

Sorry I'm being so slow y'all - thanks for waiting patiently! New chapter up soon, I promise! I was going to do it today but it's 5 pm and 70 degrees and sunny out...it's time to go home and have a glass of wine. :) If I can find any.
