Dooney & bourke disney collaboration

I hope I'm calling these bags by the right names. My question is, does anyone know how the the wonder tassel compares in size to the domed satchel and also the champsac? I have the wonder tassel and I guess based on the pictures that have been posted of disers modeling the other two bags, they seem bigger. But can someone confirm? Also a big thank you to everyone for keeping this discussion going and another big thank you to the people who take the time to post pictures.
 
Hi Ladies
I've been lurking a bit, and went back and forth about buying a bag. I gave in and ordered my sketch tote last week from WDW merchandise. They told me it was backordered but coming in anyday!!! The money came out on Monday, so I'm guessing it shipping. Anyone order from them??? How long did it take??? I'm as excited about it coming as my son is about his 6th birthday:yay: Is that wrong? LoL

You are correct, they are bigger. I have been debating about which one to get between those ones myself. I'd say the champsac is the biggest out of the three. How do you like your wonder tassel size? I keep debating if it would be big enough for me.

The crossbody has the nylon zipper. I would guess the wristlet would be the same. At any rate, the zipper is very smooth.

I LOVE my wonder tassel. I'm used to purses with more pockets and zippered pockets on the outside so that took some adjusting to (there are two slip pockets on the inside). But as far as the size, I was surprised to find it holds everything I need, which isn't a whole lot. I use the two pockets to hold all my "frequent shopper" type cards and then my insurance card and stuff like that. Then floating around in the inside is my wallet, kleenex, hard candy, a pen and then a cosmetic bag to hold my nail file, chapstick, etc. There's room for more. I've managed to fit a hard cover book in there yet. It's a stretch, but not bad. If I can justify another Dooney, I'm afraid I'd find the domed satchel or champsac too big. The closest place that sells Dooney is about an hour away. I guess I just have to make a mental note to stop in there sometime and "research" all the different styles!

On another note, the only thing I haven't figured out is ... and I'll have a hard time describing it ... there's a flap like thing in the inside. It's the width and height of the bag. It appears to be separate and is held in with two "knobby" things. This is the part where the two slip pockets are attached. I'm sure it can be removed. Odder still, the side facing the inside of the purse is white, like the rest of the inside. But the other side, the side you don't see, has the wonder print. I'm new to Dooney so maybe I just don't get it. But I'd love to know the "purpose" or "why" of this. It just seems odd. NOT a deal breaker by ANY means. Just strange.

Thanks so much for the input.:lovestruc It's always nice to hear from someone who already uses it. The Large Wonder just seems SO BIG to me for some reason. Right now I carry my medium sketch bag to the parks and it gets to be a bit of a pain getting on and off of rides with toddlers so I was thinking something a little smaller may be easier. I'm always scared that I'm going to get something on it. I looked at the brown cross body bag but it is too small for me, so I thought the tassel may be a happy medium.

I opened one the last time I was there and noticed that flap inside and I couldn't make heads or tales of it either. I'm normally not a Dooney girl either so maybe I just don't get it.:confused3

So, I'm pretty much probably going to be stuck with version 2 then it sounds like...I just don't like that rectangular tag on the purse. Otherwise they're pretty much identical right? :)

It can be removed. And we have talked about the weird patterns they seem to use, it's almost like they use left over scrap pieces or something.

Another difference is the color. The first version is more off white. Also Dooney is imprinted on the bag. I think the second version is much nicer but JMHO( I love Minnie and white color in the 2nd edition)

Are the pockets on the flap the only two pockets inside the purse? I cannot for the life of me remember whether or not their is a zip section.
 
I was just looking at the Dooney site to get a better look at their different styles and oh how I would love love love if they would make a Disney Dooney in the "Small Satchel" style. What a cute purse!

My crossbody bag arrived today from eBay. I really like it. But, I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't have a cell phone pocket or a zipper compartment inside the bag.
 
it's kind of funny that these two sales are from the same seller. i guess they must know how to word their listings well????

WOW!!! :eek: My 1st edition tote is the exact same! Actually I like mine better because it has Tink on the front and back.
Makes me want to sell it, make a profit and buy more bags!

Just found this thread. I so want a purse and wristlet. Not going to WDW until December so I may have to try call and order one.
