Resort Photo Session FAQ

Does anyone have an AKL interior photos they can share? We are staying there and I would like to do our pictures there for convienence, but I do not love the outdoor settings. Thanks in advance.

I too would love to see more pictures!! I am trying to decide whether or not to do this when my family goes in December and also trying to decide at which resort to have them taken!!

Thank you for compiling all the information. This information is definitely helpful to all the members in the site.

Great pics!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I want to have my family's pictures at the BC too!!! We will be there in Mar.!:goodvibes

We did the photo session at AKL in September and I would not do it again. It was myself, DH, DS, DD, and her two small sons, DSIL did not go. I wanted photos of myself, DH, and DS, seperate photos of DD and grandsons, and group photos of all of us. I was told everytime I called (at least 4-5 times) that one 20 min. session would be ample time for what I wanted. I went ahead and booked the extra session for an extra $25 to be on the safe side. It seemed like it didn't take very long before we were told our time was up. We did get a few decent photos but did not get any of the locations I wanted and did not get any of just DH, DS, and myself. I told him up front what I wanted so needless to say I was disappointed. I think if we had a tripod we could have gotten what we wanted on our own.

Thanks for the info! We're planning on doing the family photo shoot @ the Poly and using a couple of shots for my daughter's senior pictures. AWESOME!

Hi Everyone,
I couldn't find anywhere else to post my question, so hopefully someone will be able to answer it. When I booked my package I received a little booklet in the mail telling me about the resort I am in, the dining options, etc. I never really looked at it until last night and I came across a coupon on the back pack. It is for 20% of a photopass portrait session. Is this the resort photos session? I was really looking to book this, so it would be nice if it is. Thanks

We did this last year, we booked an extra half hour to be sure we had enough time for all the photos we wanted. We used these as senior pics for our twin boys. We did some inside and some outside on the beech. They wore a short sleeve shirt, and took along a button up sport shirt for a change. They came out great. Hope you have as good luck

Does anyone has information on the Photo session inclusion from the Premium/Platinum Dining Plan?? We booked the Premium plan for our next trip. The brochure indicates that portrait session and print package will be included with our plan. What will be included? sitting fee? prints? or maybe the CD too??

Sorry to hear this. We also booked extra session for our shoot at Poly. There were 9 of us. I explained what I needed when booking, and again with photographer. We got over 150 pics. Some of each couple individually, some of everyone together, and some of our 18 yo twin boys for their senior pics. They do not compare to what a studio would do, but the boys didn't realy care, and the price was a whole lot less than a studio. The boys even had time to change their shirts for a few shots. If you know you want extra shots, or have a large group definitely book an extra session, and be sure to explain what you want when booking. I think they make a notation on the resie. Sorry this was so long. I'm really sorry you were unhappy, as I know we spend good money for this and have expectations of what we should recieve.

Its good to see it that you have compile all the info in one thread. Thanks for this info. I am going to use it.

Answering your own question is really WEIRD...:rolleyes1 LOL....I would like to share my finding with you all.
I called and spoke with Alex, a CM in GF Photographer, yesterday. Here's what Alex found out for me:
1: If you have the Premium Plan photo-session inclusion, you are entitled to one 20-minutes session with your choice of one of the print packages.
2: If you want to purchase the CD, it will be $49.95.
For those with multiple room packages(we have 3 rooms with 12 family members) we are advised to book a back-to-back sessions, so that we can all put our picture into "one" CD for purchase(if we desire to)

Same here and I am reading conflicting info EVERYWHERE on how much a package is, what it includes, etc.

Our party will be me, DH, DD7 and my mom & dad (so 4 adults & 1 child). I will want a variety of pics...whole fam, just me, DH & DD, etc. I know I can book and extra 1/2 hour and I might just to be sure I get everything I want. But I just would like to know what I take home? Do I have to sit and look at the pics and then do I take actual prints home? Do I just get a CD that I can print pics later from? Can I combine this with the photopass CD from the parks? So confused :confused3

is there somewhere I can read up or information on the session for Beach Club. We did the one for GF when we stayed and would love to do the session again but of course the resort we are staying. Thanks

Our pictures from the Beach Club are on page 8 post 119. That might give you an idea what they are like.
